have you ever tried slow time - stretch time in replace of black hole?
yea i tried it not fan of slow time since my cdr is bad but however for you or any 1 doing this guide u can change ur passive and skill to the point where you feel comfortable/fit your playstyle
Mmm, never liked the double Unity immortal follower "trick." Feels like a total cop-out in terms of proper gearing, but to each their own, I guess. Opens up some doors to more glass cannon gearing.
this build is not really glass cannon, most of my gear have high vit/high % life armor and res and nice dps/ele roll thats why i do good dmg and have good toughness at the same time
you can totally go super tanky with nice dmg so i don't think is a glass cannon build i only make it glass cannon for myself because i know my limit and how to toon my wiz to the point that i do so much dmg that it looks like glass cannon but yea like i say not really a glass cannon build is more like a tanky T6 build with the right elemental dmg and dps sheet ammount
if unity was a trick blizzard must have nerf it long ago, therefore i think is just for endgame solo and when tier rift is out you will need it for solo
also if u look at my profile details page on the unwavering stats you can see it balance out dmg/res/armor/elite bonus/life and so on
or here you can this my old spec when i did this build but like i say im tooning my wiz cuz i know how well it can handle to the point i can do dmg and rarely dies in T6 (glass cannon just for me for player that are doing this build u can do tanky or if u feel u need that glass cannon build u are welcome to change skill/passive around and test ur wiz till it makes u feel like its good)
p.s i tried everything from gear to passive i know my limits and play style that's why i choose these passive and runes for myself u don't have to do the same... i just feel conformable playing with this set up because trust me i know my own build and i got all the gear to test...anyways for u or whoever that try this build out , u can play and pick skills and passive that makes u feel comfortable tanky and fun for yourself and once u get to the point where u think u don't need this skill or that passive and so on you will understand your limits and will change your skill and passive around to gain more fun and that dps you wanted or that tankiness you needed.
i know these video have easy monster and doesn't prove how good this build is(boring for most people) but trust me i play with the most deadly monster in rifts and i can tell you this i have never died again (with prismatic armor and unwavering stance) since using this build, you can believe me or think im a noob liar but all i can say is try the build and find out for yourself if you really want to T6 without dying and have that DPS power that makes u feel powerful as a wizard
So how does the build work without the Unity? How does it work in party play or is it solo only?
Group play is always going to be more efficient, so what role does this build play then?
title says this build is for solo, i know group is faster and more efficient but the reason i made this build because i enjoy playing solo and not with other people, so this build role is to let player that don't like to group can enjoy farming solo T6
but ill try to clear things up from my experience: if you want to play party i recommend u play archon/mm or wow/archon because its just alot better then spamming mm and more efficient in party
but anyway yes this build work without using the unity
if you choose to play without a unity then you can use a cindercoat and a rorg+soj works well with farming torment 6 solo/party but if you want to make sure you don't die for solo then yea go unity+soj
and not but not least i just want to remind/point out that Yes this build can work for solo/party by using soj+rorg/cindercoat
So how does the build work without the Unity? How does it work in party play or is it solo only?
Group play is always going to be more efficient, so what role does this build play then?
just want to update again for the question you ask :
i know group is faster and more efficient but the reason i made this build because i enjoy playing solo and not with other people, so this build role is to let player that don't like to group can enjoy farming solo T6
So..Yes this build can play in groups too here is a video of group play http://www.twitch.tv/google337/c/4411001 (use a cindercoat and replace unity with a rorg & if you go back to solo just replace the rorg to a unity)
important look at picture below : if you choose to play without a unity then you can use a cindercoat and a rorg+soj works well with farming torment 6 solo/party but if you want to make sure you don't die for solo then yea go unity+soj

Best answer to these questions is you should REALLY try the spec out yourself
In my experience without unity I still crush T4/5 with no deaths. For T6 without unity I need to do a lot of gear swapping ( IE immunity necks and ice climbers), Even with perfect gear swapping I will still die a couple of time because I prefer Meteor over Teleport. Since I don't play HC I don't mind a couple of deaths. if I want to solo without unity I really need to get some vit on my off hand and belt.
For group play I pretty much have every piece of Wizard gear for every spec except of a Wand of Woh and The Lighting Helm. The MM fire build works fine in group settings, I actually prefer it over Archon, since the trash dies so fast anyways it's all about efficient elite/boss kills.
Best answer to these questions is you should REALLY try the spec out yourself
I know how it works; I have the items. I just wanted him to share his own experiences. There are reasons why I don't run Unity. One, because I don't like the idea of forgoing crucial mitigation stats just because of one item (technically three, but only one on the character) and two, mainly because I play mostly in organized groups.

For solo play double Unity is fine, it allows you to free up some gear slotw and skills and give you a chance to spec for more "fun" skills.

why don't you test the build yourself if u got the item lol? anywaysi have posted many videos on the thread you can easily see how this build works and if you say you have the gear then you should know how truly this build works but it sounded like you are not a fan of the unity ring. if unity was bug blizzard woulda fix/hot fix it long ago
i get so many reply/post saying "oh" this build is a joke just because i have to use a"cheating unity ring" in order to play solo..well if you think that unity is cheating then feel free to not use it no one is forcing you, you can go soj+rorg but it jwill be tougher in T6 especially playing as a wizard
I've got a pretty well geared conflag wiz aswell. Link:
http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Draco-2719/hero/35820468 <--- I tried going with your build to see what my defensive/offensive was like compared to yours. I clocked in at about 10M toughness, and 1850K dmg, where you seem to have about 1950-2m and 12-13m? if I'm not mistaken.
I was scratching my head trying to figure out where the difference was in terms of gear that had such a huge gap, but then I realised you've got more than a houndred paragon levels on me, which alone should provide you with about 70K dps and 1M toughness or so. Then I realised, I use a pair of ice climbers fulltime while you prefer the 8% IAS bonus from Cains, which is a literal 100K+ dps bonus at this point (I dislike being slowed/gear switching etc in T6).
This put me a bit more at ease - there's some defense to catch up on, but it seems to be largely luck/different choises in that regard. For example, you've chosen to roll armor on shoulders where I've gone with 20% AOE damage, and armor on boots where I got movement speed (cos ice climbers).
Sadly never had the fortune to get a fire damage viable neck (and I mean, literally - a neck that has had 3 of the 4 stats needed has not yet dropped), so I'm stuck losing out on 20% elemental fire damage, but gain about 4-5% from the weapon damage added from the neck (and at high%dmg it starts to get dilluted either way), but do have immunity to poison.
The only way our specs really differ is that usually, I will go with 7.5M toughness (enchantress) and use Glass Cannon, and that's more than enough to do T6 if I play carefully. You also use Prismatic armor where I use pinpoint. Two changes that can send me from 7.5M to 11-12M toughness by switching around, but lose 5% crit/15% dmg.
I also prefer to have Meteor shower rather than black hole as my AP spender - you say that you should be relying purely on MM, but that's just bull. It' s a shit spell for AOE damage and we both know it. MS with Cindercoat allows me to rain down 21 small meteors all hitting for the same as my magic missiles (little more due to my new mirror ball - still searching for one with fucking vit/magic missile random roll) in two seconds, which obliterates all trash on T6. Lastly, your utility spell is teleport, while mine is Archon, mainly because I prefer being able to crank it up to 11 and take out an entire elite pack by going "EXPLOSION TIME" in the middle of them, along with smashing through multiple packs at once/fighting my way out if I get cornered, where as you seem to prefer an escape route with teleport :p.
I also prefer to have Meteor shower rather than black hole as my AP spender - you say that you should be relying purely on MM, but that's just bull. It' s a shit spell for AOE damage and we both know it.
hi draco you got a very nice wizard i know 100pts from paragon is alot and yes you are right it does give u more dps/toughness
not sure why are you upset about how i only use mm but from what i know is that meteor takes time to cast so instead of using meteor i just spam pure mm and choose another skill (tele[prt/familiar sparkflint)that benefits me (my dps) instead going mm/meteor
however meteor is not a bad choice but at this point i choose familiar because im just lazy to cast meteor but i explain in the guide that you can change passive/skill around don't have to be exactly like mine
but anwyays just wanted to say ur wiz is really nice and yea meteor and archon is great too, my build guide is focsuing only on dps/toughness if i were to go archon ill need some of those extra cdr (helm) (shoulders) but then i just don't really use archon without having full vrys set and low cdr so ill pass on that.
but again this is why i made this guide is just mm and dps/tank there are many other mm/archon guide you can look at don't really have to use this guide anyways gl finding your new mirror ball <3
This so-called build has been around for a very long time. Besides that, what happened to the good ol' guides with exceptionally well written text, background information and no ridiculous pseudo-faq (bold and underlined makes me sick.)? This is nothing more than a well hidden advertisement for your twitch channel.
im sorry but im not advertising anything im just trying to share and sorry that these bold underline is bothering you ill try to fix it because this is the first time i did a guide, and from my experience as playing wizard since release all the old build were at/archon and frozen orb not sure why you would even call this an old build.
Because it is nothing more than an alteration of this build which has been posted on March 31st 2014 and is still present on the first page of this sub forum. There have also been many threads and posts about possible uses of the Mirrorball since the stats of this off-hand were known to the community including a MM only build and Ghom tests of the different MM runes in these forums. On a meta level, a build which consists of one essential item and one attack skill (Black Hole is not a real main attack spell due to the CD.) which is spammed like nothing else does not really need an explanation or even a guide: Just equip the orb, spec MM-C and use the free slots of your active and passive skills in order to maximize the damage output and survivability. Guide done.
well that looks like mm/archon and i agree is somewhat similar but you forgetting im not stacking cdr/vrys set if it was exactly similar then i wouldn't be bother making this guide and the only reason i make this guide for everyone to see is for them to play solo..in other word the guide you posted is not strong as the one im presenting in solo T6 *this is the reason why i post this and make video for people to see)
so anyway if you don't like my guide or just think im a copycat then ok lets just say i copy that guide and make it my own and take the credits i won't be aruging since im just tryign to share.. so yea gl to you, btw you don't have to keep replying or looking at my build if you don't like it ty
you make it sound so easy when saying just equip a mb/and choose dps passive, if everyone was doing this then they should know how strong the build is because what you said is what im trying to explain, yes take dps passive/tanky passive and do that dmg while being tanky instead of just evocation -> > mirroball CDR -> /socket helm ->add cdr gem -> vrys set
think about how you are loosing dps with all these cdr and passive so why not just get dps? anyways all i can say is if you don't like it then don't use it.

When did personal attacks in the form of poorly veiled insults become acceptable on the boards? For the record Google has posted that English is not his mother tongue and that he was doing his best with trying to express his views in writing.
His guide is to the point and covers everything in a concise manner, from gear, spells, passive choice and videos (ever hear of the expression a picture is worth 1000 words). If you don't like his guide don't read it, but when you write a better one please post it, I would love to provide you with a critique.
As for the Twitch comment...Twitch is one of the most accessible ways of posting videos, if he had posted it on YouTube you would have said the same thing. Do you attack every person who posts a guide in the forums with a link to twitch the same way?
