Today I want to show you guys an alternative to the Marauder's Fire Sentry DH - the Cold version. It's a slightly different playstyle in terms of sentry positioning, but with proper gameplay it can deal comparable damage, especially with the recent change to Cluster Arrow/Maelstrom, releasing 450% weapon damage rockets (900% with Ballistics passive).
In this video I go over the build, gear, paragon points, solo a greater rift, and talk about mechanic differences compared to a fire build. Enjoy!
I've seen some of your videos and while i found them pretty cool, this one about DH isn't good as expected.
First of all, cold build is all about CoTW which is basically a 20% constant dmg increase. You not taking it is simply a bad choice. Also Steady aim is one of the best chooices, especially given the amount of slow/cc we have as cold. Ambush is another great ability - though i can see that in a GR optic it's less about initial burst and more about sustained damage. Archery grants you a 50% crit damage bonus, but with a mara6 decent gear you should have plenty enough.
Last, the biggest issue: a no-generator build is viable, but just putting down turrets and running around letting them do the job isn't just optimal due to the immense downtime. Currently this works because T6 is fixed and reached a certain threshold your turrets can 2-shot nearly everything (also Ambush becomes increasingly effective).
There is a lot more reasoning about DH cold builds (Kridershot, Buriza+DA, cold turret or spitfire due to ballistics, etc). To me it seems you've just used an outdated DH template and put onto it the cold abilities. Sorry, but the video isn't as informative as expected.

Thanks for the feedback. I will be doing a follow-up video where I change some skills/passives around and do a higher tier greater rift, along with testing lightning/physical variants. You have some good points. I'm also going to be testing this with Frostburns (don't have a Kridershot though). One thing I'll mention - I don't know everything about everything. I like to play a lot of different specs and classes, and I try to do my homework, but those who play a certain class or spec will often know some bit of information I don't. It's a fairly complex game and I learn as I go along, like many others. Hopefully my follow-up will be 'up to par' with the expectations of the more dedicated players.

As i said there's room for improvement and actually a second video with comparisons is more useful imho than a single test - also it can be possible that our suggestions are revealed to be wrong; which is good since the goal is exactly to find what works better in which situation.
