SOJ is able to roll up to +10 Max discipline, which via the UE 6P bonus would be an increase of 1000% Multishot damage + ~30% elite damage that F/R can't roll. My question is does the damage calculation still fall in favor of F/R? I'm not sure when it's 100% is calculated.
So I was playing around with D3planner and it's simulate feature shows F/R ahead by almost double, so I have to assume that 100% is applied near the end of the calculation. So if I'm at 85 Discipline and MS did say 1 damage I'm guessing it goes something like 1 x 8500% = 8500 Damage. Adding 10 discipline would take that to 95 or 1 x 9500% = 9500 damage. The 100% from F/R must come after that first calc and be 1 x 8500% x 100% = 17,000 Damage. That's my guess anyway.

100% for the UE 6p bonus is misleading, because every discipline point you add is additive with your other discipline point.
So to know how much a change in discipline total is gonna increase your damages, just do:
For instance, you have 85 discipline, and with SoJ you'll have 95, the damage increase is:
95/85 = 1.12
So an increase of 12%, then you have the elite damage and fire damage increase.
But the important part I guess is, no matter the increase in the 6p bonus for UE, the math for SoJ vs F & R doesn't change. It's still in favor of F & R because it's a 125% multiplicative bonus.
In addition, with SoJ, you loose a lot of toughness. it's only interesting for T13 (and I don't even use it). See the guides by Wudijo, especially the videos for UE (he created a post recently). When in doubt for DHs, just look for what Wudijo did, he's a reference for DHs. He also answers quite a lot of questions in the comments, both in the video and the diablofans build. It's always usefull to read it.
SoJ isnt that far behinde, it can actully be better that f/r if you got good SoJ + endless walk set and no good hellfire amulet. At least in higher Grift where u spend more time stationery, remeber endless walk give 100% multiplicative dmg so its only 25% behinde f/r and compass rose do have 1 extra stat. Problem is that its much easier to get a good hellfire and f/r than perfect endless walk set and SoJ.
