SoH still out preforms TF in my opinion. TF + SoH is still a strong combination, though I still like Odyn Son and SoH better. Nothing has really changed for me, other than I see a few less lightning bolts
If they fixed Shard of Hate to use proc coefficients on skills and the glitch with dual wield resetting internal cooldowns, it's possible that Thunderfury also suffered from these changes. I don't have either weapon, but I've heard mention that both used an internal cooldown.
Does this mean that Fjord Cutter is no longer useless with dual wield?
Yep, that's a special property of Thundergod's Vigor. It only seems to be available on that specific belt. The lightning resistance is really high, not a typical stat roll, so it doesn't seem to follow the 'rules' and preclude the primary stats from rolling all resist.
Greetings.Since im seeing a spec which tested on t3 ghom is just...bad....and....well....its really bad...im just gonna make somme comments on your ideeas :
1. Dont use pox faulds : they are bad as value in most cases : you socketed AR in them just they dont have any so you insta-lose 540 str. Instead you could have just crafted aeshera pants + shoulders to get a rly nice toughness boost.If not that,hexing pants has incredible high value compared to the faulds ; Also , as rings one MUST be either SoH with %lightning dmg OR unity (counting that you can go double unity with the immortal templar) . As the 2nd one you should always go for Grandeur (the ring is way too strong to neglect if you have some set items which i stronly recommend using over anything else because all the barb set items have really high value).
One thing to keep in mind is healing vs toughness : you should get as secondary stats one of the 2 : health globe bonus and/or phys res .The more toughness you have via AR/armor/specific res/passives -> the less healing you need and obv. healthglobe bonus boosts bloodthirst amazingly.
P.S. : fulminator is shit.
Here's my itemization wich i find really strong for t5 : http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/pabs-2641/hero/1019382 (ofc SoH is not a good option anymore for t6).I used to run t6 pretty decent before SoH nerf (only dying 1-2 times to a sucubus fast fire chains electro tele kind of affix or retarded stuff like that),but now its clearly that some modifications are needed for t6 as weps (in case of the lthunder build).
2.Your spec : it makes no sense why you are using shield wall.The only way that skill actually has value is if you have CDR set ; in any other case you should use warcry-impunity if you lack toughness (its also a nice generator in the time of need).
Sprint marathon is only great for speed farming on t1-2 ; in any other case use RltW rune.
You really need to find a place for battlerage : its value is way too high to consider dropping it off (only case should be the CDR WoTB version that can play w/o).I would strongly recommend dropping avalance for it (with the bloodshed rune if you're farming rifts/bounties etc.)
As for passives 2 will always be choosen infront of the others (xcept for boss fights like ubers) : unforgiving and rampage.The other 2 will always be questionable , but one will always come with a huge value compared to the others and that is bloodthirst : life/fury is the only true way that barbs heal in RoS and taking bonus from health globe secondary is just...amazing.I''m running with 90k hgb and its simply amazing how you can heal so damn fast to full with only sprint and battlerage.4th one could be superstition although wep master is slithly better in value and here's why : getting 5% CC or 8% dmg is amazing .With the bloothirst and a decent ammount of HGB on your gear..superstition's magic dmg reduction wont be that amazing anymore and if you lack fury generation just craft Reaper's Wraps until you hit a decent pair. (ofc there's the better option to go 4set IK , or 3 set IK with ring).
3.Your para points : crit chance will always have the best value on a barb ; maximizing AS over CC is a big mistake imo (specially if you are using hota) ; the way i go is : CC->CD->AS (unless you are going for CDR)..Also,you prioritize %life infront of armor ? Do you have the necessary healing for that ? You make the same mistake as most people do : thinking that vit toughness > armor toughness (which on spreadsheet it is).Here's the correct way to approach toughness : you always should pick AR+armor toughness infront of %life and vit (considering that you have a decent healthpool...maybe 400k should suffice in most cases) because you will need less healing / sec to replenish to full life. Even more...think a bit on the value of things.Getting armor capped in para means that you get one extra passive slot with Tough Nails , while maximizing %life isnt even worth a max stam gem in your head slot..So is %life > %armor considering those 2 things ? I think not,unless you can somehow make up for the 25% life in healing terms then it might be decent enough, but still wont beat armor.
In the utility tab , i would recommend picking up LoH infront of res cost (10% res cost only makes hota 18 fury in your case...is that really worth it lol infront of 4k loh? think about it ).
To sum it up : your spec wont achiev that much because it lacks better itemization and a better build . One way to go : get yourself a grandeur from a1 bounties , try to get some set pieces working together with that (aeshera pants+shoulders, ik gloves + chestt + boots, maybe aughild head + bracers) , get yourself a Harrington belt (it has extremly high value vs thundergod if you know how to handle it...100-120% more dmg for 10 secs beats every other belt in-game) or even a good rolled WH is an interesting option to keep in mind , your wep choice are good (xcept that SoH will be useless in t6 but good in the low torments 3> . fulminator is really poor and shaeffar...no words for 2h since the only one that counts in this game is maximus ->fire builds) , go for reapers wraps if you lack fury generation and drop superstition for bloothirst , drop avalanche for battle rage and take another look at the para points and see that you can get better value from them.
Those are my suggestions atleast (im not saying that its the end-game way to go , but they work alot better than most lightning buils) and i hope you find atleast 1-2 ideeas decent enough to give them a go Thx although for making a thunder barb guide and hope you GL with dem drops
