I've been playing D3 quite extensively, but never really delved much into optimizing my build, so this is pretty much my first go at it. Currently, I can comfortably farm T1 solo with one hand, and can go as high as T3 with 1-2 deaths in a rift, clearing it in roughly 20 minutes.
So basically this is a fire build using grenades - pretty self-explanatory. One thing I have to mention though, is the Cull the Weak passive - I use it since I always play with a Wizard friend who slows a lot. As for gear - the upgrades I have in mind are Stone of Jordan instead of Hellfire, Cindercoat, and a Marauder's Set (haven't had a single one drop yet). Shoulders and wrists I have are quite useless, and are also first in line to be replaced, once I find/craft something suitable. This is obviously a work-in-progress, but you can see where I'm going with this. I try to stack +fire dmg and +dmg to most used skills.
Things that trouble me, that I would love to get some feedback:
1. I've looked around, and didn't find many grenade builds. Why is that? Are they so lacklaster, that I'm being stupid going down that road?
2. My toughness is quite low. It doesn't bother me much currently, since I kite a lot and hardly die, but I think it might become a problem with higher Torment difficulties.
3. Since there aren't many grenade builds around - I find it hard to check my choices with gear/mystic rerolls/skills choices. So I ask the more knowledgable folks here to slap me over the head with what I did wrong, and how they would make this build better. Maybe suggest some easy-to get upgrades.
Grenade builds work pretty good - the fact is that you're basically set up using Grenades as generator and many don't like them (don't know why, imho they're very effective due to the aoe) and the rest of the build is nothing different than a standard LfB build.
The passive will make better also other abilitise like CA/Cluster bombs or even Rapid Fire, but they suffer a bad aim mechanic and many find them just clunky. Vengeance/personal Mortar blends really well with a fire/grenades build, but Seethe is slightly better due to the increased hatred regen.
I run for some time with a Grenadier build, but still there are others that have been proven more effective.
EDIT: i wouldn't bother with turrets with a grenadier build. Just use Smoke Screen imho.
This is a fairly comfortable t-3 build i'm running, recently got my 4th Maruaders piece and haven't adjusted anything yet but it's still working quite well.
Side note, I use vaulta bit more like a weapon and fall back on smokescreen if it all goes south...many a mob has died from vault.
Thank you for the input. It's nice to get some validation))
I find that grenades work quite well with the Ess of Johan amulet, that gathers the mobs in tight packs. Or with a tank buddy I guess.
Could you please elaborate on the Smoke Screen suggestion? I don't see how it will be benefitial to me. I have such low HP, that when I die - it's in 1 second, with no time to heal anyway. And I seldom if ever die from mobs - it's usually from lack of attention and standing in a bad aoe, so the invis would be useless as well...

Thanks in advance, guys!

Am considering revisiting my passives now that I have all the pets, not sure yet. And there is STILL gear to find.
