Finally, the much anticipated lvl60, celebrated over the corpse of Azmodan! And then it hit me: after working up to this level, and accumulating almost 70 million gold (don't get excited, I sold off my other characters' gear), I can't buy anything until after the patch. Who knows what these changes to 'often overlooked' skills may mean to builds? Who knows what Legendaries will look like? Who knows what kind of fire sale there might be when all these uber-barbarians decide to replace their gear?
Blizzard, in true Alan-Greenspanesque pronouncements, is never clear what a 'few weeks' (from August 15th) is. And they still have a 'few announcements' to make about the upcoming patch.
Well, as a pretty good geared Barbarian (1k resists /impunity, 92k damage /into the fray) I haven't felt this relieved in a long time. Ever since i reached lvl 60 i started playing the AH game, since that's basically all I could do. I felt the need to farm items to accumulate gold to buy upgrades (that cost 80m+ a pop now) but that doesn't really give you any satisfaction. Sure, I upgraded that amulet for 100m+ gold and now I'm better equipped, but what for? farming just a little bit faster?
This new patch gives me incentive to actually play my character, develop it further.
I'm personally going to stay clear(ish) of the auction house the first week or so of the new patch since I bet everyone will be trying to sell the new legendaries for 300m+ and I'm just going to enjoy playing. For me it won't be about dishing out the most ilvl 63s' anymore, I have a new goal and loot that drops will only be gravy, unlike the prior feeling of running against a brick wall on my lvl 60.
TL:DR: Don't get overly hyped about the new legendaries, Finally the AH simulator is derailed by the new paragon system. Just enjoy playing and as you ramp up your paragon lvls, you'll fill out your weapon rack as well.
Nothing has changed for me, just spend 50mil on a new chest 2 hours ago, will take some time for the good rolled legendaries to drop and they will be overpriced at start anyways, i wouldn't the patch effect you tbh.

So, what shall I do?
