First of all i would like to say it's very hard to gear for this build, but if you have a general purpose LON setup, it won't be "that" hard.
There's quite a lot of options here gear-wise
Belt:
1) can be Sacred Harness for a little extra debuff
2) vigilante belt for extra cdr
3) witching hour for MAXIMUM dps (if you can survive)
Shoulders: can be anything ancient with CDR and heaven's fury damage. I prefer pauldrons for extra toughness (they always roll with armor though).
Gloves: St.Archews Gage for extra toughness, but if have really GG Stone Gauntlets you can try them (if you manage to survive)
Helm: Ancient Andariel's Visage with %Holy is really hard to find, and you will be really fragile without a socket as well (and you will have to roll OFF chc or IAS to socket), so after many tests i came to a conclusion that Leoric's Crown fits perfectly here and you can get extra elites from the Nemesis Bracers too. Helm of Rule is not worth it. You will still have around 63% block chance without it, and an extra 11% block chance is not worth it for a loss of 1000 vit.
Feet: Illusory Boots are must have. You need freedom of movement to reposition fast and stand in Oculus procs. If you don't have ancient : cube them.
Pants: Ideally you need Swampland Waders from your witch doctor. Roll %Holy there and add a strength augment. You are all set
Bracers: If you have GG Nemesis Bracers you can equip them and cube Bracer of Fury for maximum HF damage.
As for Legendary gems: gems listed here a required to effectively survive incoming damage in greater rift 80. Stricken is not THAT important, because if you die over and over again you won't stack it anyway And you still stack damage infinitely through Shield of Fury, so it somewhat compensates...
It would be GREAT to have stricken, but i did hundreds of tests and it's incredibly hard to withstand incoming damage in GR80 without at least 300 million toughness and a lot of recovery.
All normal gems: diamonds.

Build Guide
Hey guys!
One of the last crusader builds that i wanted to explore! It was called in many ways: holy gatling , holy shot, lon heaven's fury etc etc..
I would call it Holy Machinegun!
What i like about this build?
1) The only DPS build in the world that can do well without stricken
2) almost 80% of all damage is done through passive procs
3) incredibly fun and visually appealing
What are the cons?
1) Very hard to gear
2) Very hard to reach GR80
3) Very squishy
Some general tips and information:
1) You need recovery and life regen above everything else. If you can't recover fast = you will die no matter how much toughness or damage reduction you have. This is why we have gizzard and Bathed in Light
2) Elites are first priority, completely skip all small trash packs.
3) Try to cast Judgement a little before HOLY rotation of COE (on last second of Fire rotation).
4) RGs without adds and without fast melee attacks are very bad.
5) 5th passive : Finery, another decent passives: Renewal, Long Arm of the Law.
6) Blessed Ground is what affects Shield of Fury stacks and Shield of Fury stacks affect the damage of Fires of Heaven. You only gain stacks of Shield of Fury with Blessed Ground.
7) Attack speed affects Fires of Heaven, this is why we have Celerity instead of Fury.
8) Stack as much CDR as possible without losing CHD/CHC
Skill options:
1) Laws of Justice - Decaying Strength for massive debuff and toughness boost.
2) Punish - Fury/Rebirth
3) On the video i show Consecration instead of Iron Skin = it's a decent option, especially when you are have low life regen. Gives you 45k regen for 10 seconds. But when you have a high-levelled Gizzard and a lot of CDR you can try Iron Skin, it will give you more sustain.
4) Steed Charge instead of Consecration/Iron Skin if you feel you are too slow through the rift (not recommended).
Love the build! Thanks
Hey Roleplayer, love all the builds you post with details, tips, etc. On behalf of all us players, thank you.
Question: Does blessed ground create stacks for bane of the stricken?
I've been toying around with this type of build (without Ivory Tower, replaced with Eberli Charo) and just looking for the "best" way to do it to achieve enough damage reduction/DPS to push GR90+. Currently I have 8 ancient items (some substitutes), paragon 850, but can only do GR 55-60, T12. I'm working on gearing, but am looking to run these skills(final build): heavens fury(blessed ground), condemn(vacuum), shield glare(divine verdict), iron skin(steel skin), law of valor(critical), and akarats(prophet). Also, do you think a variation including slash(zeal) could be effective for pushing high GR's?
Thanks for your time.
yes, blessed ground stacks stricken.
as for your setup, it actually reminds me of a build that i've made some months ago:

Zeal won't add much to your DPS and is kind of a waste in general.
Hmm interesting. But theoretically, wouldn't LON add more damage (with 12-13 ancient items) than Akkan's set? Also the reason I was leaning towards using condemn was to proc strongarm bracers and for extra holy damage. I'm aiming for around 60% CDR which should keep it up often enough to sync with heavens fury. Do you happen to know if condemn(vacuum) OR steed(draw and quarter) will proc SA bracers for elites/champions?
Also I figured if I needed more movement speed I could swap out steel skin for flash, I figure with illusory boots I should be able to get where I want to go easily enough.
Yeah I am using the bracer of fury, and would potentially cube strong arm(I have 200% fury bracers), but I definitely won't anymore :). But theoretically, wouldn't a LON build (12-13 ancient pieces) out damage Akkan's set?
Oh, huh, maybe I'm unclear on how LON works. Isn't the LON effect constantly active as long as you have 1 set item bonus and obviously ancient items equiped?
"While this is your only Item Set bonus every Ancient item you have equipped increases your damage dealt by 100% and reduces your damage taken by 4%."
Oh, never mind. Just understood what you were saying. Interesting.
Is that because Akkhan's set catches up in DPS over X amount of time? And if so, how much?
I just feel like LON has more "burst" damage, due to: 1200 - 1300% increase in damage from set bonus + akarath(for however often you can cast it) + all other factors. The set bonus in damage for Akkhan's is 600% while akarath is active, which is basically constant when geared properly. But you don't need akarath to be off CD to get the 1200-1300% increase in damage for LON. Don't mean to nag you, just really want to understand why. Thanks again.
Even with rough estimates: LON = 1300*1,25 (akarath's champion is about 50% uptime at best) = 1625% damage
Akkhan = 600*1,45 (champion uptime is 100%)*2(Endless walk set)= 1740% damage
Also with Akkhan you can use both Aquilas Cuirass and UNITY. With LON set you can use only one ring in the cube.
Awesome, makes sense. Thanks a lot man. Roleplayer dedicated fan +1
Great build and great job as always....
But why not use Provoke - Hit me for a 100% insane firerate...???
I tried it and the fury stacks like crazy...
Provoke uptime is super low and it does not really add a lot (you just need about 50% block chance to proc like crazy), and you need a lot of toughness and CC to survive in GR80+, so toughness comes first.
Hey I'm confused why you chose those pants, can you explain why? Also I know this build is hard to gear but Is there any other pants besides the Swamp one and the Pox one that I can use that would be at least very viable till I land either or?
These are the only pants in the game that can roll elemental damage, and as a result boost all your skill damage for corresponding rune.
Pox are not very good, but at least they add an extra punch. As for other pants = just any ancient pants with good rolls = str/vit/allres. There are not many good pants in the game unfortunately.
okay! I appreciate it! I would have to run a witch doctor to try to get those pants right?
