First of all Hello!, and thank you for checking out my build, my name is Vlamm, and i've been a diablo player for the most of my miserable life ^^.

With season 6 up and coming in the next 2 weeks, i have been testing out builds and come to the conclusion that archon is boring as **** :D, so going back over prev builds and new stuff and changes in season 6, i decided to create this current build for season 6, i have tested the bananas out of this, both ingame and on d3planner and i've come up to some very nasty dps numbers with a ''non meta'' build, i for sure am having a lot of fun with this and i hope you will to!

Ok so to begin with the build, and i apologize for the incoming Wall of Text ^^.

Update: 2-8-2016

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue that prevented Ray of Frost - Black Ice from creating an ice patch when the player didn't land the killing blow.

This will def help out a lot when running Black Ice

Besides the bug fixes nothing has really changed for this build, it's still a viable build for t10's/gr 70-75's, it remains a nice alternatives if you don't feel like playing the meta.

Update: 20-5-2016

After further testing and doing more calculations there had to be some changes made to my build, mostly for damage reasons/survivability.

Light of Grace is gone from this build, it just doesn't add enough, yes it makes Ray of Frost pierce, but we got so much freaking Aoe thrash mobs die so fast, it's rather overkill.

Also giving up Convention of Elements was a big nono, it's too much of a damage loss in this build.

i have fully updated my build to the changes, with losing Light of Grace we'll gain the Travellers Pledge & Compass Rose combo, and stat wise we'll be favouring Area Damage on every possible Piece.

Update: 25-4-2016

Replacing convention of elements for the compass rose and switching the witching hour for tal's belt could also be viable, i didn't had enough time to fully test it, and the d3planner simulation is giving me mixed numbers, yes we lose 200% for 1/4 uptime elemental, but gain pretty much a flat 100% dps increase, this is something i'll have to test more, feedback is welcome on this.

Item Build.

Tal Rasha's Elements - 6 set - the bread and butter of this build really, this is where our multipliers will come from.

Shoulders - Mantle of Channeling - for obvious reasons.

Wrists: ACP - you can even just use nemesis (which i prefer), or any other good wrist with good stats.

Boots: Nilfur's Boast - Extra damage from the Tal Rasha set bonus doesn't hurt, and there isnt really much els to use instead.

Rings: Halo of Arlyse, or convention of elements depending on rolls %.

Weapon: Deathwish - this doesn't need much explaining :).

Now let's discuss the Cube.

Weapon: Etched Sigil - as we're using the Tal offhand this is Required

Armor: Hergbrash’s Binding - for obvious reasons, reducing power costs.

Ring: Convention of elements or Halo of Arlyse, mostly depends on which ones you get and roll%.

As for Legendary Gems.

Taeguk - with the s6 changes this works beautifully with channeling Ray of Frost.

Bane of the Powerful - Taeguk will give a 40% dps boost on max channel, however botp gives solid stats aswell, both are good, so you'll have to decide on it really, they are both viable.

Bane of the Trapped - yeah a no brainer this.

Bane of the Stricken

I would like to explain Abilities and Passives now.

Ray of Frost : Black Ice - cold damage from both the main ability and the dot do quite serious dps, this is our main dps ability.

Ray of Frost : Snow Blast - single target dps this can give a nice boost to cold dps, so this is also viable.

Arcane Orb : Scorch - high uptime, most dps comes from the dot.

Blizzard : Lightning Storm - dot dps and gap filler for lightning dps.

Blackhole : Event Horizon - cc/dps and a bit of protection against missiles, solid ability.

Blackhole : Spellsteal - Could also be viable, as i havent tested this in very high gr's, could give a decent boost for clear speed.

Teleport / Ice armor - you can pick whatever passive you like with this really, if you don't care too much about defense for example just farming t10 or doing bounties just pick the preferred ones.

Passives.

Audacity - damage.

Elemental Exposure - a no brainer really.

Unwavering Will - quite a good passive for this build, as Ray of Frost takes a while to ramp up damage, this works flawlessly.

Blur -

Unstable Anomaly -

This is where its for you to decide really, Unstable Anomoly for late high gr's or Cold Blooded for the extra 10% damage, both work.

D3planner build.

Vlamm's Build

On the Simulations and graphs and from my ingame experience this build packs quite a punch, or should i say pierce, as its cold.. nvm lol, bad joke ^^

This wraps up my build, i will be updating this along the way.
