Can't install Diablo 3

  • So my SSD (D:) broke, containing my Diablo install. I'm now trying to install it to a different drive (E:, and C:), but I only get "Whoops, something broke..." and BLZBNTAGT000008FC error (which keep repeating over and over).
By default it tries to install to D:, were it used to be before the drive broke, but since it's no longer there, I can't do a proper uninstall, or install for that matter.

    Anyone no how to proceed?

    Thanks!
  • brobban,

Is Diablo III still listed as one of your installed games in the Desktop App? If so, is it still pointing to the D drive location?

How have you tried "uninstalling" it? Via the Control Panel > Programs and Features applet or via the Desktop App?

  • brobban,

Can you try the steps in this support article and then try re-installing the game?

    Deleting Battle.net files

  • Hello sierm02,

The crash may be due to a recent hardware change. I'd recommend running the ScanDisk and System File Checker as well as installing the latest drivers.

If you need further assistance please go ahead and start a new thread with the details of what has been tried. I'm going to lock this thread to prevent confusion, since it is from 2014.
