The follower is only gaining 20% of the +Gold and +Magic Find % stats on the items, that you equip to him.

Its not a bug. Maybe they should grant the full effect though... because of that:

The amount displayed is your share of the bonus. You get 20% of your follower’s Magic Find, Gold Find, and + to XP.

On that note, I also believe in groups your GF gets split (to compensate for killing power of groups?)


Currently, Magic Find, Gold Find, and +XP bonuses are averaged across the entire group.
