icuin57.dll

    Restarted to apply update, playing fine beforehand, now error on launch says: Critical error during loading process; icuin57.dll does not exist.
    Any suggestions?

    We are looking into this on our end. In the meantime if you're getting the error about missing icuin57.dll please try downloading and installing "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3" here:

    Which of these do I install or do I install them both?


    If you have 64-bit Windows install vc_redist.x64.exe

    If you have 32-bit Windows install vc_redist.x86.exe

    Our engineers continue to investigate this issue. I'm glad to hear that some of you were able to get back into the game after installing the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable files. We understand that having to download extra software may not be ideal for everyone, and we appreciate everyone's patience as we work through things.

    Just wanted to let everyone know that we are continuing to work on getting this resolved. However, in the meantime the earlier workaround posted will work.

  • Update - a patch was just pushed out to fix the issue with the missing dll. If you haven't yet, exit the Battle.net Desktop App and relog to pick it up.

    We're glad to see that the latest patch resolved this error for everyone. If there is anyone still experiencing crashes or errors when trying to launch Diablo 3 please create a new thread with any prior troubleshooting that has been done. Thanks!
