DiabloFans Says Farewell
It is with great sadness that I must announce the closure of DiabloFans. Our site has been a pillar of the Diablo community for many years, but due to the fading interest in current Diablo products and business realities for Curse, it is time for DiabloFans to say farewell.
On March 21st, DiabloFans will be transitioned into Archive Mode. Users will still be able to view content on the site while it is archived, but will be unable to create or edit any existing builds or posts on the site.
Personally, this news is quite surreal. I joined the DiabloFans team in late 2017 as the Community Manager and remained as such until shortly after BlizzCon 2018. During my time as Community Manager, I had the privilege of interacting with some of the most passionate fans of the Diablo franchise. You, the community, have been a constant inspiration with your amazing creativity and passion.
DiabloFans was a site that I used almost daily for many years prior to joining the team, and it was my primary source for finding new and interesting builds in Diablo 3. Without DiabloFans, there will be a great void for many of the other Diablo community sites to fill, but I have no doubt that they will do an excellent job.
I encourage our community to use d3planner to create and share builds in the same way you have used DiabloFans. For those who want to stay up to date and discuss the latest news regarding Diablo, I would suggest the Diablo Subreddit. Additionally, for those looking for more information on the game in general or a way to contribute to the community in a meaningful way, check out the Diablo wiki. Also, feel free to share other community sites in the comments before March 21, 2019!
Thank you for all of your support over the years, and may your future adventures in Sanctuary be filled with plentiful and glorious loot.
this sucks but i get it, d3 isnt what it once was..
Very sad news, indeed. I've been using this website almost daily for years, mostly as a lurker checking builds and news, and it will undeniably be missed.
@OSW_Zenkiki I still remember the day you joined as a CM, and it seems like yesterday. Thank you for all you did for this website, and best of luck in your future endeavours!
Thanks for everything guys.
Hey, I don't know how y'all would would feel about it, but I'd be happy to keep the site running, I love this site and really should use it more myself, but I also don't want to see it disappear entirely...
Oh =/
That's not nice.
Thank you for everything these past years.
I remember when I read about the community manager only had a few cookies / crackers during the even when Diablo 3 was announced. Good times!
Also, if you guys missed out. I made this Treasure Goblin Boardgame back in the day

You will be missed
sigh:) another cut ?
Sad. Just sad. I join the community 11 years ago, and now you say its over...
Was diablo3.com back then...
Good bye.
RIP. Great site for new builds, especially for each new season. Thanks for everything !
diablofans will be forever missed. farewell, and good luck!
damn, thats really sad news :/ hope u guys the best and thanks for all your service
too bad. I just joined this site an hour ago.
I was formerly a staff member of Diablofans back in 2008, when the site used the diablo3.com domain name, and few weeks after it became Diablofans.com
While not actively posting thereafter, except for a few instances, I have visited in read-only instances and this is my to-go place when I need a class build. So it hurts double to see Diablofans go into archive mode, and not have further updates.
I'll miss this community.
If you are a Blizzard API developer, please reach out via direct message on Twitter @blizzplanetcom
I would like to continue the legacy of Diablo III class builds with your help. When it goes live, it will be at:

Good bye old friend,
i'll miss this website.
It is a shame really, i've seen a lot of posts, theories, builds etc...
This feels like Diablo is truly dying slowly, communities that are vanishing slowly over time.
I really hope that DiabloFans might make a comeback when Diablo 4 gets announced.
Good bye.
Hi, Sad to see this website close, it was a great source of informations.
So i made a fan website a while back, i still need to finish 15% of the responsive side, but you can still register (enter your battletag like it is written on bnet) to it and begin to save all your season progress (conquests, grifts, and season objectives) -> https://d3mystic.com
Heres my "web" profile : https://d3mystic.com/Madmartigan-2545/profile
and my "game" profile : https://d3mystic.com/Madmartigan-2545/game
Example of records for season 16 : https://d3mystic.com/Madmartigan-2545/game/seasons/16/records
Also, soon, the achievements will be ready (you will be able to save your achievements "manually" with a dialog window since you cannot retrieve achievements via bnet), the conquests are saved as seasonal achievements.
Fee free to leave comments.
RIP
Last day now... hate to see it all close up shop
Thanks for everything, I hope the community can manage to rally somehow and reconvene to another site.
Although my own interest in the game has waned, diablofans has been a Diablo haven for many years. Still today I visit the site on a weekly basis. Thank you for everything and farewell.
It feels like a passing of an era. I can't quite describe how I am feeling now. Its a deep sadness and profound sense of loss. I have gotten so much from Diablofans. it has been my go to spot for all things diablo 3. I really cant imagine what it will be like without it. I have really enjoyed creating build guides and responding to comments. Its been deeply gratifying to be able to help others as I have been in turned helped. I plan to continue to play Diablo 3 and will keep within me a long list of great memories. Nothing will replace Diablofans for me. I will always be extremely grateful for all it has done for me and for the Diablo 3 community. I hope that you all will keep playing and supporting Diablo 3. I wish everyone the greatest success going forward. Thanks again and best of luck to everyone.
