Comprised of controlled, calculating individuals, the Priests of Rathma have long known the true stakes at the heart of the Eternal Conflict. Known to uneducated outsiders as Necromancers, these masters of blood, bone, and the dark arts are often misunderstood. Driven to protect the Balance at all costs, those dedicated to walking this path see neither good nor evil in their actions; simply obedience to the cycle of being.

Those complaining about $15, probably totally forget everything we got FOR FREE post Reapers because they weren't happy with the quality of the game.
We have already easily gotten $20+ in value completely free. Yes, here please take my $15 for a nifty class++.
This was one good example that showed that the hater are always the fastest. I thought 15 Euro would be a "fair" price (and at the same time we get new content for free while we are able to buy the necromancer pack- setportals and a few smaller dungeons) compared to prices that i see for pets cosmetics in other games but to be honest i thought blizzard would take like 20 Euro. So i was rather happy about the prize.
Then i wachted the first 6 comments and saw so much hate and could not believe that i am the only one.
But as i said they were just faster than the normal posters :D.
Seems cheap to me. Frankly they could have offered just two stash tabs for $15 and I'm sure a lot of people would have fallen over themselves to buy it. :-)
Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. No. If you want me I'll be over here playing MedianXL, which is 100x better than Diablo III.
You're paying 15$ to do the exact same thing all other classes can do. And that's you get four get four sets which lay your build out for you and cause you to use skills in a certain order most of them with a timing involved too. Now take maybe two of those sets and those will only be the viable ones for you to run endless greater rifts which accomplish nothing other than leveling gems?...and you're racing a fucking clock the whole time. No thanks. Until Diablo fixes any of these which for the last four seasons clearly they don't care to fix any core issues, this game will continue to be laughed at and lose players. Enjoy everyone....
Diablo content IS the classes in the game. Yes you play the same game, but you play it in an entirely new set of ways than prior.
I mean, I plan on using gold to get it, but $15 is steep. $10 would have been the fairest price.
More than likely.
They're throwing it out to get 'further tested' before Season start. Don't want the class 'breaking everything' (i.e. going 15+ GR levels above everyone else, with shitty gear or something like that)
That's the only reason for it, along with the big break between seasons (which is for the exact same thing - testing everything, to see if something fucks up). They need to get a bigger picture of how the class functions in solo/2-player/3-player/4-player games.
Beta PTR is one thing - having it in the hands of an even bigger amount of people; is the real test.
Good thing I have so much battle.net balance from WoW gold. Gives me something else to spend it on other than HoTs and HS packs.
ohhhhh my poor dead dreams... 18 months for a 15$ character with copy paste wings except a new pallete...
seriously I would kill for an enhanced release schedule where I can jump in diablo with a druid update.. then an amazon update... or a lore pack for 10$ that comes with new skills for every class/gear and a whole chapter of story (wait is this just an expansion? then a whole chapter of mini-stories like the nova missions except not bad)..
but this skeleton team and a development schedule the distance of a full on expansion for whats supposed to be a hero update for hots is never gunna make that work. Sure the employment section has revealed a diablo 4-like game in the works that'll likely see no light of day for 4-5 years and the diablo 3 name couldn't overcome the hump from classic launch, but cmon man I don't care if I'm just repetitively bashing demon heads to a soundtrack of higher and higher super numbers. Its theraputic to wipe out 25 tiny red hellspawn in one blow after a gearcheck optimized some serious shit and i'm hunting the next god-item. Hell make a rift where the droprate is 2000% but once the rift ends.. I lose the entire character, so my skill choices actually can't go for the cookie-cutter.
oh right challenge rifts.. Well it could be fun
Well i'm supprised with the price too.. I was expecting much higher price (between 25-30$/euros), but that is fair price for an DLC and I'm exicited to put hands on the Necromancer
I can't understand why people are crying over price of the Necro pack?!? You were expecting full expansion for 5$?!? Remember the price of Reaper of Souls expansion?!?!
and i don't get your point. we get the necro for 15 euro, you slam us for what? "expecting full expansion for 5$?!?"? err, no? i'd rather fork out another 40 euro for another full-fledged expansion with new zones, a new act, new monsters, new artwork, new gameplay, a new class, higher level than to get one fucking class for 15 euro.
Dang. Disappointed. I was ready to buy for $10. Oh well, I'll wait to buy it when it drops to $10, by then maybe it won't be so boring to play it - and they'll have balanced the stupid skele-mage spamming set.
Played about 30 hours of the class anyways so I don't care much about playing it right now anyways.
I'm not active here as a user who post a lot, I mostly read about diablo since release.
There is nothing suspicious, it's true that 15E for just one char is rip off.
PoE give few acts for Free (just an example, I don't like this game) and here?
More we get for free in next season/patch than what this DLC gives.
15 $/E isn't bad nor isn't good. In my country when you earn a bit above average sallary it takes about 3,5h to buy a Necro pack. Make it double if your spouse plays too. That's really not the case here. I think that everyone who has standard job can afford it. (for curious people, for minimal sallary it goes to about 7,5h)
I'm not sure if I'm gonna buy Necro Pack, because there is still some classes I havent fully tried. IMO Blizzard thinks that we want and will be playing only their games and pay for everything they throw at us:P Diablo 3 is decent game which takes me in for every season where I can complete Journey, but after that it feels like a bit waste of precious time which can be spend somewhere else... playing ofc
Back to the point, I'm not delighted nor disappointed with the price. But I'm not sure if I'll buy it. Like in my other post, if it was 7,5$ + 7,5$ charity (or 10$+5$) I wouldn't hesitate to buy.
Viking8, in my country I must work 1 day to buy Necro pack, but I'm not complaining, because resource was invested to devellope this new character, and every resource investment (employees, hardware, working hours) comes with its price, in which case 15 euros is a acceptable (they might charged us 3 times more, like the other companies, but they didnt)
