Tavern Talk on February
Blizzard will be holding a special Tavern Talk stream on February 10th, to celebrate the arrival of Season 2. Major game designers will be present, and it's a great chance for us to hear some of their thoughts on the first Season and where they expect the game to be headed. Who knows, maybe we get a tip of when to expect Patch 2.2? We will have a reminder for you once we get closer to it. Check the details below!

To celebrate the start of Season 2, we'd like to take some time to discuss our philosophy behind Seasons in Diablo III, cover lessons we learned from Season 1, and share some of our plans for the future with you, our community. On Tuesday, February 10 at 11:00 a.m. PST, we'll be chilling out in the Blizzard Studio to cover all these topics (and possibly more) as well as answer your questions live! Who can you expect to see on stream? After we go around the table to discuss Seasons in detail, we'll open up the floor to player questions. Do you have a question for our developers? If so, send it to @Diablo on Twitter using #D3QA right now or leave it in a comment below!
- Wyatt Cheng, Senior Technical Game Designer
- Travis Day, Game Designer
- Don Vu, Associate Game Designer
- Brandy "Nevalistis" Camel, Community Manager
If you’re not able to tune in live, don’t break a sweat—we’ll upload a VOD of the entire chat to our Twitch and YouTube channels shortly after the stream for your leisurely viewing pleasure. We’re stoked to see you there!
Conduit Hotfix Live
The Conduit fix we mentioned a couple days ago went live on January 16th, later in the evening, but the update confirming that was only posted today. Conduits should feel a lot more powerful these last couple days. Read below.

There are no additional upcoming hotfixes at this time.
- Dramatically increasing the damage of the Conduit Pylon in both Nephalem and Greater Rifts (1/16)
- These changes should result in Conduit feeling more in line with strong pylons like Power and Channeling without trivializing Rift Guardians
D3 Crosswords Puzzle
Nazzyc has made a D3 crosswords puzzle, and posted it at Reddit. The difficulty is quite varied, with a few being on game features and systems, and others requiring specific item and enemy names. Those willing to test their D3 knowledge, definitely check it out!
We're still unsure when Season 2 will start. Season 1 is likely ending Feb 3rd, and Season 2 maybe either start at the Tuesday after that (so Feb 10th) or on Friday (some people believe in this one).
We have gotten pretty useful information out of these before, like what they are working on right now, or when we can expect certain changes. Sometimes we learn that a problem which has "obvious" solutions to some fans, has been discussed to death internally by experienced devs and they reached a stalemate. And while they can't solve that stalemate, they work on other more obvious improvements (like adding new legendaries).
If there's anything to learn from news like this one (on why players quit D3) is that what some consider to be problems sometimes are what keep others playing, and the "obvious solutions" would most certainly drive a few players away from the game. Things are not always black and white, specially with such a fragmented playerbase like this one (in terms of what they want for the game) - the whole notion that some questions are "intelligent" and others are "useless" is plain prejudice and brings nothing useful to the discussion, while demeaning other users' needs and views.
