Seems Blizzard is not worried for the duping that is easily achievable in D3's Console versions due to the lack of being online requirement. The philosophy here is that if a player enjoys the game, they'll keep on farming the honest and fair way.

Here's some food for thought:
I've got some breaking news for you: The AH will be removed on March 18, 2014. Still five and a half months time to "come up with a replacement before removing the AH". Top dev material indeed.
Yeah, 200 million users means "barely anyone uses Twitter". It's much better to asks on a forum visited by about a few thousand people a day, totally right.
Also, brevity is good. A good idea can be presented in a single sentence, it doesn't need a wall of text. Ever been to scientific conferences? Every student needs to be able to convey his research in a sentence ("elevator pitch"). We've had hundreds of suggestion threads comprising lots of text, 140 words for a change ain't that bad.

They removed the AH MOST LIKELY because the majority of the diablo 3 players already left the game due to the lackluster experience it provided compared to the other two of the franchise. I personally am glad they are going back to it's roots. I just recently bought the Diablo 3 console version despite what I've been warned about, and love playing it locally. I've yet to jump online because i'm not a fan of exploiters. Still, removing the AH is the best thing for this game.
If a huge chunk of the player-base wanted the AH, why would they remove it? I won't believe that it's because of "whining," considering how much data they gather from accounts, they probably did an analysis of accounts created / active accounts, monitored a trend, etc.

Posted Oct 3, 2013Perhaps the same options on diablo 2, I know there was some exploitation/duping on closed b.net, but the countermeasures resulted in a drastic difference in the number of cheats vs open battle.net. Or maybe they can't do anything, just food for thought.

Yes because that’s so terrible… possibly the main reason for inflation.
Saying shit like this leads me to believe you didn’t play D2 or if you did it was past its prime. In theory the AH was a good idea to combat issues from D2; however since it was linked to loot drops it turned the entire system into a steaming pile of mud butt shit.
Hardly anyone used 3rd party sites and trading in D2 wasn’t necessary (self-found gear was possible). Trade only existed to obtain perfect items or for people who like to haggle. I think I traded maybe a handful of times to get rid of excess uniques sitting in my stash.
Since you’re the pay to win type you’ll just have to do it with 3rd party sites oh noes!!!

Back to topic… I find it funny the amount of rage that has happened from an offline mode, and then again I guess a lot of people never experienced D2 for what it was.

You seem to be so concerned about taking the high ground that you forget about all the people who never traded in D2 because they were happy with being mediocre. If you don't trade, you don't even know if you're mediocre, or have crap gear, or BiS items. You can't be upset about others if you don't care about others.
I know I should listen to Xpire and ignore you but I just can't. In fact, I wrote up my opinion why I think the removal of the AH is the best move Blizzard could've made ever, but it seems people like you can't be arsed to read that much text - understandably. Oh and btw, here are some reasons why DFans users are happy about the AH removal. Look beyond your nose and at least try to understand others before you judge them.
