IMPORTANT: Introducing the Paragon System

Paragon Level EXP Chart
With the patch 1.0.4 files in hand, there was a new file that made its way into the game. This file seems to hold the new EXP values for the Paragon Levels.

This is a total of 10,454,400,000 exp from level 1 to 100.
Update: Some are reporting it's total EXP already, this means 315,360,000 EXP from 1 to 100
We will find out soon!
Update: With the patch out, 10,454,400,000 exp total is correct.
That's ~8,167,500 Inferno Dust Imps.
That's ~6,534,000 Inferno Hulking Phase Beasts
Keep in mind these are just fun values based off the old Monster EXP values, and may have been updated.

WillNowHalt on Reddit calculated with 75% NV buff, it would take 1,327,543 mlvl 63 Monsters from 0 to 100

Now with Paragon Levels it seems it takes a lot of time to get all 100 lvls so there is a long way of level ups.. Just play normally killing monsters and farming stuff.. but every now and then you get a small upgrade which is nice.

One thing to remember is that there isn't a death penalty in D3. In D2 dying could make you lose a weeks worth of leveling.

Seems to be an inaccuracy n the OP when he adds each XP total from 1 - 100 to come to a total of over 10 billion. This is incorrect as at level 100, you would have 322 million total. Like XP from level 1 - 60, the Paragon level score doesn't reset to zero with each level. When you reach level 50, you will have 77 million, and you will need 2 odd million more to get to 51, not 78 million.

lets do some calculations.

it takes 10,000,000,000 exp to get to lvl 100.

if you can farm 5,000,000 exp an hour (can probably get more)

it would take you 1*10^10 / 5*10^6 = 2000 hours to get to level 100, now lets say we farm for 6 hours a day that would be
2000/6 = 333 days

so about a year of farming for 6 hours a day every day at a exp rate of 5 mil per hour would get you to 100 paragon level.

this my friends is way slower then diablo 2

and it would probably take about 4 years for a casual player to reach the max level.

so keep onto your MF farming set

Yeah, don't know what to say about this. It's quite steep from the start, getting to 30 requires already about 8% of what one needs to get to 100, and to get to 60 you need almost 30% of the total experience. So I guess that progress will be very slow from the start, and getting to something like 100 MF (lvl 33) will take some time already.

Perhaps I am completely misunderstanding but where does it say it takes 10 billion to get to level 100? The total XP is 300 million.

Are we sure these values are the experience per level and not the accumulative requirement for advancing?

Can you compare the data this is derived from to how the experience per level is stored for 1-60?

it's not 10 billion it's 300mil to get to 100.

Inferno mobs give more exp!

My handy dandy bradyguide says an unburied gives 2750 in hell, 4000 in inferno. That's not 3x more.

Act 4 Temptress gives 1550 in hell, 1600 in inferno. That's not 3x more.

So, these numbers could change of course. But still. Seems odd.

Act 2 fallen is probably your quickest path to 100. They always occur in large groups and are easily dispatched. Give the same XP as a hulking phase beast (1600) with far less effort.

Oh that's a work of genious. Now I can start slowly swapping out my 246% odd GF set for DPS gear and also gain MF at the same time for a win win!
