Seems underwhelming for "Emergency Maintenance" there must be something else in there.

Update 11:40 p.m. PDT: We are extending maintenance by 1 hour. We currently anticipate that all servers will available by approximately 1:00 p.m. PDT.

I don't see anything in this patch that is an emergency, which several other people have already stated. What they need to patch is things like making the Neph buff stay if you simply swap skills on your hot bar, or get DC'd. They said in the past that if you get DC'd from a game you have time to start it up again before it is gone, but that isn't even in the case.

The list of important changes that would warrant an emergency is long and none of these are among them. I mean updating tooltips? Seriously? Not to mention that the Azmodan quest hasn't given EXP for the second half for three days now so that's just a bold faced lie.

Who the hell is on during the day? Stay at home ma or pa? Unemployed people? Teenagers on summer vacation oh wait they might just be waking up now.... still don't see the logic in this astute observation.

but to be fair, 9-5 isn't the primary time for people to be playing so .. it makes sense for them to patch during the day

I think someone posted a video awhile back that you could farm that quest for 6000 gold every 4 minutes. Or something to that effect, gaining a significant amount of gold per hour, correct me if I am wrong though.

but the reason diablo 2 was big fun and a year long succes is because of repeatedly farming the same mobs over and over and over and over wasn't it? i know this is not diablo 2 but let people decide which path they choose and if they think its easy way to get loot buff the mobs but not reduce the loot? it's all about the loot after all when you get to lvl 60 isn't it?

no, the itemization and diversity of builds was fun...not necessarily the methods in which to get said items...Blizzard has improved on the methods to gain (and continuing to improve in 1.0.3). It's the itemization itself (and build diversity for Inferno) that is currently worse than D2.
