I want to see the game in action. That's all I want. I'm sick of the screenshots and few videos that have been scrapped to us. We should riot. I'm NOT ok with being the most loyal fan community of the three blizzard games and being treated like this. Seriously, if we become more aggressive, we'll get more out of this dominating relationship we have with Bashiok. We ought to make his life hell until we get info. If we organize ourselves we can get that demo to enjoy at least. Who's with me?

In any case, we are in no relationship with blizz at all. They give some news, respond when they feel like it and make fun of some people. They can afford to do so because it would seem they are confident they are working towards a very high quality product. That is the only reason I could find. It's true it would have been better if they announced D3 a little later, closer to a beta where fans could have actually really helped in polishing the game, but it wasn't so. We are mere spectators for now, on a show that doesn't care how many viewers it's getting.

What can I say...? Sit tight and bear with it all. Just remember, in the end it remains just a game. Could be a sublime one but doesn't change that it will be just that.

Here's to hoping it flies by, it's been so long since we've heard anything. According to recent stuff Bashiok has said it sounds like there is a ton of stuff (especially gameplay mechanics) that they have yet to reveal. Like you said I can easily see this being Diablo's year for info.

i think that blizzard isnt doing a lot for diablo 3 because they want starcraft 2 to get the spot light. and i have to say, it worked. i pretty much dont care about diablo, and am just and counting the days til starcraft 2 comes out. plus, blizzard is probably putting all their resources into getting starcraft 2 out on time because we all know what blizzard is like.

still, im dying to know what the 5th class will be. blizzard should "accidently" spill some concept art, just to get people talking again

I am hoping for a cinematic (one that evolves on the story as well), 5th class (which is a given), elaboration on this new rune system, and some juicy background-lore. Not about what will happen in the story naturally, but some details surrounding it. A lore panel hopefully.

Preferably two different pieces of wildly different characters. That'd spark some discussion :thumbsup:

That might be a pretty safe bet as well. Though it depends how far along it is. I remember someone from Blizzard saying that they will hold their projects tighter in the future (i.e not announce Diablo 3 so god damn far ahead of time).

Yes, please! I'm dying to hear anything new concerning the lore! When they announced the last years' BlizzCon, on the Con site it said that "Diablo III team will reveal a new chapter in Diablo III story"...but it didn't happened! Okay, we got to see the Monk and the new area, but if I remember correctly, that was it! Nothing spectacular about Diablo III! That's why I'm not having big hopes for this year, otherwise I'll be very disappointed!

i think the new area (borderlands) was the new chapter. its basically act 2, so thats pretty big. and i dont want a lot of lore, i want to find it all out during the actual game.

but you know blizzard. they always over-hype stuff. dont get too excited - while you guys are at blizzcon with a bunch of people dressed as World of warcraft characters, ill be playing stacraft 2 while giggling to myself

I have a feeling that this time things are going to be different for us. There's nothing to hype for Starcraft, anymore, and the only possible contester for the slot of a major IP installation would be the unannounced MMO, which I don't think is likely to be announced this BlizzCon.

I think the unnanounced MMO will be announced this year, It seems that they are done With Sc besides the expansions. I think they will bring it to the forefront now because as you know WoW is releasing its final expansion this year. That leaves Diablo the only franchise with a work in progress. I'm pretty sure theyll announce it just to keep people into blizzard then the year after they could make some changes and then throw in their other IP which is also unnanounced and then Diablo 3 will be out and hopefully theyll be starting on WC4 or WoW2 and then they can announce that next blizzcon and then by that time they should have finished the unnanounced MMO and then the next year the other game title will be released and the next year will hold the WC release plus the introduction of the new SC game and they can go on forever...
