BlizzCon 2010 Officially Announced

And finally, BlizzCon 2010 has been officially announced. Seems like the leak back in February is correct, it will be in Anaheim California (not Las Vegas!) on October 22nd and 23rd. This also means that we'll be seeing Jay Mohr there one of the nights performing. With that in mind, SC2 should be released by then, which means there will be D3 booths and Cataclysm booths. I'm expecting the announcement of their unannounced MMO, perhaps. As of now, ticket sales have not yet been announced. Usually for October 'Cons, they're in June/July, so stay tuned.

Anyone going? ;).

I bet they will give diablo 3 beta keys in the bags they hand out at the end. In that case they will have to release the 5th class also.

doubt it. i think there will be no beta given out to the public.

I am sure they will announce the 5th class, as well as tell us more about the PvP multiplayer which is one of the more exciting aspects of the game for me. I think the release date of SC2 will be a strong indication of when diablo 3 will get released if you just look at the trends. Therefore, I believe d3 will get released just before, or just after blizzcon 2011.

Dammit! why is it in October? I thought the last one was in June? If it keeps following that 16 month pattern then BlizzCon 2011 will bizarrely be in February 2012! Who at Blizz is in charge of reading the calendar?

I sure hope so. Last year it was great. Although i later found out about a livestream of some dude who paid to watch the con, was pretty badass to see it live.

You really thought our coverage of last year's Blizzcon was great? Everyone was so impressed with the live update feed for some reason. The updates were sparse at best. Then we had to wait for a long time to see any pictures of the event as opposed to, I don't know, releasing at least a few pics until they got the whole gallery online....

Then they finally did and it was rather underwhelming.

BizzCon is a celebratuionof the Warcraft,StarCraft and Diable franchuise and the communities that surround them. This two day event will contain Q&A panels featuring Bizzard Entertainment developers, social events for players and developers to meet one anothere, hands on gameplay featuring your favorite Blizzard Entertainment games, casual and competitive tournaments, and more.
