I appreciate the effort, but the character details (polygon-ish shoulder pads/single-layer clothing designs) look cheap and of low-production value.

I'm sure of it, and make no mistake, I'm as much of a D3 fan as anyone else on here.

The fact is, though, that even with games that were already released in 2009, the in-game close-up renders for those games are absolutely visually stunning, as opposed to the in-game renders of D3 that were shown so far.

Clothes/armor have contours, and it should be that way. Having one layer of texture represent a detailed piece of texture-filled article is just plain out unattractive. I'm sure it doesn't take too much extra processing power to make those fine adjustments, but it makes all the difference.

Compare the in-game render vs the concept art piece of the female barbarian, and you will see what I'm getting at.

She looks like she could eat me... there are also a couple of new screenshots too - i'm not sure if that's mentioned anywhere, they look really good.

Wow, she's awesome.

She's broad shouldered, thick waisted, well muscled - she looks like she could actually use those weapons, too. In short, she looks like she's a real character, not just eye candy for the presumed all-male audience.

Speaking as a woman gamer, I like. Very much. Makes me feel like Blizzard actually believes I exist :thumbsup:

I know some people are still have some doubt of Blizzard's efforts. But if I've said it once I'll say it again, trust themmmmmm.

It's a woman on steroids at that time of the month!

I agree but then again, its not supposed to be seen at that close up of an angle.

Yes it does. D3 is awsome.

They may change the character design on the website when the game is finished. Many design elements ingame may change until release of D3.

The graphic are actually the last thing they polish. It's like everything - monsters, equipaments, characters - are place holders.

Look at the early Star Craft 2 screen shots and battle reports. Now look how the game looks now. Alot better.

Otherwise, don't expect a super next gen. graphic from blizz. Every year computer becomes more expensive compered to consoles. Cheap and low tier PCs are more and more popular, thats why they must make a game were most people can run. It's the price of the computer platform.

The looks can still change. They may decide to tweak it later on. They may still want to limit some of the processes for the time being.

Besides we are likely not going to see them up close since most of the time well will be zoomed out in the regular game view.

I just hope the character selection screen doesn't show such low-res textured characters. D=

This title made me laugh for a bit. Good concept drawing. I like how they've given a variety of characters (male/female) to play. Puts a nice twist on it.

her breasts look much better in the concept art, and so does her shoulder armour. In the in game model they look kinda droopy and not showing enough cleavage, and again the gaudy looking massive shoulder armour *shakes head*

There's new screenshots as well, looks like a new enemy in 1 and also the waypoint revealed.

She should be green.... like hulk 0_0!

I was just about to write something like-

But that was only after checking out the concept drawing which I found cool...coz she's a female barb after all.

After looking at the 3D model though....dang- that's just Conan the Barbarian with boobs.
