midgetlove spotted a confirmation of Starcraft II's beta starting this month, in addition to it's likely release this year with World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. Get ready for Battle.net 2.0 and the future of Blizzard games- 2010 looks like an exciting year for Blizzard fans! Also, over at ShackNews it was shown that this will be availible for digital download via the new Battle.net account system.
See the original thread here, and a special thanks to midgetlove and milanv for bringing this information to the site!
Seriously, normal, un-molested English CANNOT contain the amount of excitement that was just felt.
... Holy fuck, SCII, finally.
I know I won't.
you get to opt in, go to battle.net and make your battle.net account you can then click on sc2 beta settings and send them your system specs. Then you may be chosen to become a beta testa!
I'm sure Blizzard won't realize it's really us.
... It'll be the cleverest of clever ruses.
*goes to scratch out our URL with a sharpie*
And there you have it
They did not say North America, they just said beta starts soo... don't assume its just us Americans that get to test!
I really wish my computer could run something like starcraft II. But I'm not even going to bother trying to sign up for it because there is no way my computer is up for it.
what are your computer specs?
I'm hoping this will get me picked. I'm sure they want to test it on all kind of system.
So, if you have a crappy system, don't hesitate.
This is great news by the way. Its been.. wow, a long time since I subscribed for the SC2 Beta and I'm still waiting, someday, for a god damn email saying I'm in
I'm still extremely skeptical about SC2. To be honest, I'm afraid that it will turn out trash... I REALLY don't want that to happen. And I hope I get in the beta and that it makes me feel better about it.
This post in short: About damn time!
the spec requirements for blizz games have always been low, no harm in sending your specs in. Like poster above said, they may be interested to see how it runs on a low-end PC!!!
