I've been trying to tell people that forever. But do they listen? Noooo, they know it all. :rolleyes:

Well, can't say I'm surprised. Blizzard is smart, of course they aren't going to take one production team and have them jump from one Diablo to the other. It only makes sense to have two. Maybe this will also quell peoples worries about the patch update possibly being "insignificant", since who knows how long the legacy team has been working on the patch.

This worry is pretty absurd, seeing as how only one out of the fifteen Blizzard North programmers from Diablo II still work there.

lol they have nothing to do with each other and ones development is completely different from the other...coding, team and all

If by 'd2 team (blizz north)' you mean 'credited on Diablo II and working at Blizzard North at the time', you're very far off. The real # is more like 3... out of 51.

Well thats kinda obvious....there not going to have there devs for a upcoming project slow there progress with it to patch a 10 year old game lol

It wouldn't make any sense for the Diablo III team to work on Diablo II, as the only thing that's the same between them is concept, but the engine is completely different.

Now people are going to complain that the Diablo III team isn't working on the Diablo II patch >.>

No, they specifically said that they were taking requests, but that it was possible none of them would be met as a backup to defend themselves against immature flamers in the future if a particular fan's idea was not implemented. I would like that in the patch, of course- it would mean less mules, no need for transfers or games for xfering, less demand on the server, but they did say that just because something asked a lot did not mean it would be implemented
