We don?t have a final release date for the patch yet, but we're providing early warning as a reset could occur as early as the end of April. We'll be providing updates with more certain dates once the patch is closer to release.
Please be aware that with a ladder reset all ladder characters are moved to non-ladder. This means that your characters will still be accessible but will no longer have access to ladder-only features and games. In order to play in the new ladder season after the reset you will need to make new ladder characters.
This thread will be updated with more information as it becomes available.
Thoughts? Proclamations of enthusiasm and great joy? I, for one, can't wait to see what all is being changed and added, and will be starting again with the new reset- fresh chances and new content. It's a win-win scenario. I'm hoping many of you will consider dusting off your old LoD disc to start up again with the reset and this news in mind.
Also, is there any further speculation as to when this is going to be out? I'm really pumped to play with some new content.

i wouldnt mind a few new monsters to destroy as opposed to strengthening old monsters and changing their colors
although i do like all act 5 enemies xD
i want more of those for every act
cuz act 1,2 and 3 can kinda get repetitive for monster spawns
i think its the foul crow enemies xD
i also wanna see a lot of skills getting strengthened and holy hammer getting weakened a bit
to encourage ppl to try more builds
cuz at the moment hammerdins seem pretty op
but necros can be pretty strong too lol
also some of the necro curses need a improvement to their duration
all curses should stay for at least 20 seconds to start
for the really really really good ones a minimum of 15
and if they could id like to see all immunities in the game removed and just increase the enemy resistance to everything by a bit more instead
and put limits on some unique monster spawns
i swear some monster groups were actualy more difficult than diablo himself (inferno, extra speed, extra str!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
the iron maiden curse should be removed from all monster curse pools
its just too op against barbarians, assassins and in some cases paladins
i dont mind seeing it in duels but for monsters to just cast it and you have to fight like 100 monsters thats too much damage and just annoying
change AI scripting for the smaller creatures so if they run away its not as far and they wont go as far as to leave the screen
buff all summons except bears and clay golems (give all other golems a bonus to att rating for putting at least 5 skill points into it since golems dont do any good unless they actually hit something)
and give blood golem another ability of some kind since hes kinda behind all the other golems in the ability department (let him heal allies too or something since all the other golems do have more and/or better abilities than blood golem)
But yeah, me too Magistrate. I find myself angry each day when I see no new news has come.

maybe they want diablo 2 to end with a bang since its almost 10 years later and they still sell it for like 30 bucks at walmart xD
I tried this but it said that they were already claimed.. I'm kinda screwed too because I can't find my play disc. Ne one have any ideas why it would say that?
I'm hoping they add some new sets that are actual worth collecting, seeing as how none of the current ones are that great.
