Diablo 3 Players Discover "BlizzCon Artifact" In Game

For those who are attending BlizzCon, there's even more incentive to sit down and play Diablo 3 for as many hours as you possibly can. There is a "BlizzCon Artifact" that can be found in random games of Diablo 3. If you happen to be one of the lucky players who finds this artifact, it instructs you to go find a Blizzard representative. When you do, they will award you with this:

Yep, a big Diablo 3 poster autographed by the development team!

I asked one of the Blizzard reps in the Diablo booth just how often these artifacts were being found. "I would say roughly 1 out of 10 players are finding them," he claimed. He also went on to say that they have plenty of the posters left to give away today - day 2 of BlizzCon 2008.

So there you have it. As if you needed any more incentive to play their visually stunning new game, now you might have a shot at winning an extremely nice autographed Diablo 3 poster just for trying out the demo here at BlizzCon!

I've been trying, believe me. Turning over every bookshelf in the game and searching all over the place Hopefully I'll have better luck today since I should have more time to play.

Awesome, i already have 2 posters of diablo, anyway that's cool.. big awesome poster with the autographed by the development team.. i wish i could be there

Yes we all wish we could be there hmmm lets brain storm for a minit if blizzcon was free how many people do you think would be there?

I can see it now going for 100's on ebay and people being idiots instead of just buying tickets wish i could of gone believe me i worked for months and still couldn't go wish i had one atleast one of those contests i entered and to think i bet the people that one just sold them never been to a convention before oh well theirs always next year but man this was a great year wouldn't be to bad if it wasn't for school.

I was one of the lucky enough fans to get a poster. Only after playing my 3rd time. So far, the witch doctor is turning out to be my favorite, although the wizard seems to be the only class completely completed.

and no source is provided about a public demo being released in 2008...

ive been keeping an eye out on ebay for one of these posters, if i see one ill buy it for sure! no luck yet though. they did have a wotlk poster signed by almost everyone at blizzard listed for 300$ though, but i want the diablo one.
