Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction are now available as a digital download from the Blizzard store in USA and Europe. A good solution to those who have lost their original CD, as you get unlimited downloads.
They probably had a deal with vendors who stocked up on the physical version. Or maybe they were trying to save on hosting costs while the game was hot.
I wonder if they will offer D3 for download at the release date. Maybe this is a trial to see if it would be a plausible idea.
What's the deal ? The battle chest used to only cost 19.99 some years ago. Diablo 2 and the expansion separate were much cheaper than 19.99 each. I've never seen games released so many years later so expensive for their time released. Blizzard makes Millions off of wow, with a capital M, I don't see why they would be charging so much. The earnings off of additional sales is pocket change to them. Coins in the candy machine.

It never used to cost $19.99, you made that up. $39.99 or $29.99 on a discount at BestBuy/Target etc.
Anyone feel like starting up some characters? It would be nice to get a little group so we can play the game for what its worth rather than being forced into rushes / enchant...
I thought they did this when they announced Diablo 3.
Yeah, this is more old news, probably to fill in the gaps caused by NO NEWS.
IMHO: If theres no news, don't recycle old news.
I'm not trying to come off like an ass or anything, it's just that it is annoying looking at the news on here and thinking WOW, BIG PICTURE MEANS AWESOME NEWS
and then you get smacked in the face with old news

Who is Zane? I don't know Zane...
Probably a marketing strategy I suppose.
