Diablo 3 Forum Template Goes Up On Battle.Net!

If you ever had any doubts before about Diablo 3 finally arriving, this just might put an end to those questions (or raise more as it may be just a forum glitch). Anyway, it appears as though Blizzard has a forum template up on Battle.net for Diablo 3 called "Diablo III General Discussion"!

It wasn't working a little while ago and I got a "The Battle.net Forums Are Currently Down" message, so just in case you can't see it live, here's a screenshot for you:

There have also been reports that Diablo 4 and Diablo 5 forums have appeared on Battle.net - bizzaro! So what do you guys think? Is this the confirmation we've all been waiting for on the site all these years or just a weird battle.net forum glitch?

update: Now here's something else that's odd about this battle.net madness, you can enter in any forum number from 3 to 6 in the address bar and it will show up on the forum list. For example:
http://battle.net/forums/thread-search.aspx?ForumName=d6-general

However, if you enter in any forum number higher than 6, it does not appear on the forum list. For example:
http://battle.net/forums/thread-search.aspx?ForumName=d8-general

Do any of you have any thoughts as to why that is?

There is no such thing as a forum glitch that would create links to diablo 3,4,5 etc.... that must be done manually. I suspect they have done that to create a source of 'disinformation' which will cloud their eminent release even further, since they are aware of all the speculation here (and everywhere else).

If I owned Blizzard, I would read what everyone is posting, throw them a bone, then throw them a curveball; just to create a frenzy.

Blizzard is doing this.

Exactly. That's what I'll do myself and even more. Actually that's what I always do Teasers everywhere!! And it works.

When I first saw this, I tried d4 and it DID NOT work.
Blizzard's trying to cover it up.

Blizzard isn't stupid or lazy, they can wait 24 hours to edit the site to add "World of Diablo General" and etc
so just like "zomg diabloii said its d3", don't buy into the hype

I for one am happy to play Lost Vikings 2

Theres a HUGE difference between a "glitch" and a completely irrational mistake.

This isn't a simple mistake guys...

Of all things... why would it ACCIDENTALLY say Diablo 3? It could have just as easily said Fruity Pebbles 3000 or some other random BS. I think that no one was supposed to see the D3 discussion in the dropdown, and they just messed up. I can bet you everything that Blizzard has spies in all of these forums and a couple saw this site and said "oh shit"! And that only gave Blizzard more room to fuck around w/ us, meanwhile covering up their mistake.

P.S. I wonder how many times Diablo 3 has been put in a search engine lately... I cant even type in 'dia' w/o all of these d3 things comin up.

Hours ago I visited the address, http://eu.blizzard.com/wwi08/index.xml and the site showed only a page with the message that was outside down for maintenance. I then looked at the source code and find this comment on it.

The comment goes back to an image on Battle.net, the splash_9.jpg, http://www.battle.net/images/splash_9.jpg

Blizzard always brilliant in doing suspense and hide the information very well.

But I believe that the grade of the event (http://eu.blizzard.com/wwi08/streams.xml) means the case that Diablo III will actually be announced at the event, the logo of the game Diablo II is on the site, but the game does not mark presence at the event ... For the logo on the site of BEWI then?

The screenshot is not fake, but I can not prove. I just forget to take a screenshot of the page for maintenance and also the time I was not matter much with the comment, then I recall the image Splash_9. And only posted here because I do not closing the window of the source code, which is still open.

Responding to why they would only have roman numerals up to 6, and not all numbers.
Of course anything we say is just speculation and not fact.

I believe Blilzzard has it set up that way because they wont have a use for numbers above 6.

Warcraft stopped at 3, Diablo's only at 2, and Starcraft is only at 2. Why waste space having hundreds of numbers when you'll only need a few.

I'm a huge fan of Diablo. I'm new to WOW and stopped playin Starcraft a few years ago. I dont want anything more than to see a D3 release, I may quit my job just to play everyday. lol. But I try to get away from reading into all the signs as much as some of you do. I try to look at it as a causal fan would.

The way i see the picture is. Ice from wrath of the lich king and the King poking through. All the runes are just what you say but mean nothing more than that. I really hope I'm wrong tho.

I havent seen the other teasers in the past, does blizzard desribe why they put stuff in it like they did with the runes and purple penguin?

Don't know i this has been already photoshopped before but i would not be surprised if we see an image like this:

combined blizzards d2 death logo wallpaper (http://www.blizzard.com/us/diablo2/wallpapers/wall24.html) and the latest splash image. yields the following result

the eyes and the features seem to fit quite well into the so-far revealed image...
