Obviously, something must be amiss. Starcraft got a no-CD patch back on January 16th (Patch 1.15.2). Barely 3 weeks later, Warcraft III got a no-CD patch on February 6th (Patch 1.21b). But no Diablo II patch has been released to date.
The Diablo II patch was confirmed to be in development when Blizzard folks visited China to unveil the Starcraft II Zerg Race. (March 14th, 2008)
As of June 4th, I was shown the wall once and again. No further details on Diablo II patch. However, something happened yesterday that may ignite rumors among fans. So ... let the rumor mill commence!"What projects are Blizzard doing at the moment?
Blizzard: Patches of WOW, Diablo II, and as what we've done during past ten years----Starcraft."
A fan over at the Battle.net forums reminded that June 25 will mark one year since Diablo II ladder was reset. To this, Drysc (Blizzard Forum Moderator) said:
There are a few questions to ponder here. Will Diablo II ladder reset again nearing the Blizzard Worldwide Invitationals? Will the Diablo II patch be released to mark the new ladder reset? Seeing as it has been four months since the other two Blizzard games got their no-cd patch, will the Diablo II patch contain anything besides a no-cd patch? Was Drysc kidding? Is Drysc's underwear red-hearts? well ... get those engines working. Start your comments."The smell of fresh sulfur and rot grows stronger...
Never mind, it was just my lower jaw."
This is what happened a year ago on June 25th:
"We will be resetting the Diablo II ladder on June 25, 2007, beginning a new ladder season and providing a fresh start for those participating on the ladder realms. All current ladder characters will be moved to the non-ladder realm, and the ladder realm will re-open as a blank slate where all-new heroes can make their mark. Try out a new character idea, adventure with your friends, and race to be the first on your realm to reach level 99. The realms will be offline for approximately four hours during the ladder reset."
My cd is scratched to hell, it barely works. I beleive i heard that there is a way for them to send me a new cd and stuff right?
EDIT: Found it
Oh, I was talking about the use of the patch, sorry, my bad. I'll just borrow the LOD disk.
Could that be a hinting that with parts of their bodies, they can be resurrected? Well.. I guess its not a hint, it is what is happening. With that said, the whole "They are banished and cannot come back, Diablo 3 is impossible" is ruled out. Also, why do they end up in Tristram? Filled with Minions, coming up from hell to assist them... That could be the beginning of Diablo 3, Where the 3 resurrect and regroup in Tristram. Minions from hell come up to Tristram to fight for the 3, this is where they regroup.
If minions can come from hell, They have the ability to go down, from Tristram. From what I get from this anyway, is that they are already paving the way to Diablo 3, and if a new patch includes anything new, it would probably follow somewhat of a story such as this, where you do not kill the prime evils, but they escape to hell, or you are unable to take back Tristram from them.
Blizzard store offers diablo 2 digital downloads
And it's surely no-cd.

Just thought I would mentions that sulfur is also known as brimstone and is used in the bible. It is used in the "fire and brimstone" when preachers are focused on eternal damnation. Here's the wiki if anyone else is bored enough to search for things.

What does he mean by lower jaw? That it has dropped in amazement or what, I can't tell lol
oh... OH! I bet Diablo has bad breathe! D3 is officially confirmed! Lol. Kidding of course.. but damn, yeah I feel stupid not figuring that one out on my own
LOL, that's so true...
But I'm pretty sure there's something behind that. I visit the battle.net general discussion forums regularly and mods pick and choose which topics they feel like posting in. A lot of the posts on the forums beg or ask for the moderators to post their opinion or anything in their thread and they don't. It's to much of a coincidence that out of all the posts he'd post in that one.
LOL. Thats true. Then again, if I had the power to falsely make thousands of people go crazy thinking that their big hopes would come true, I probably would, but then again, I'm a douche :P.
I guess I'm a douche too LOL. But, these people aren't stupid. If they fuck up a response there's a chance they could probably be fired and I'm not 100% sure but I'm guessing they're under contract where they're not allowed to let out information so possibly sued also?
The obvious image to me is lower mouth or mouth of hell.
If Blizzard were to release this much anticipated patch, it would likely have the same effect, but I beleive at an even greater scale. Perhaps this is yet another way for Blizzard to get peoples attention before the greatest annoucment this millenium...?
