Diablo 3 News Watch
The goal of this thread is to put the rapidly growing amount of news and rumors that are building up around Diablo 3 possibly being announced at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational.
Re: Blizzard's Worldwide Invitational
Last year Blizzard announced Starcraft 2, this year many rumours are floating around that a Diablo 3 announcement is going to take place.
It would make sense to use this event to announce what millions of fans have been waiting for.
Also, i would like to point out that June 29th is the Diablo 2 release date anniversary. What a perfect day to announce the next Diablo.
Re: Blizzard Job openings
There is a large assortment of job postings for some "Top Secret" game. Many of the postings begin with this "The team behind Diablo I and II is looking for a". It's obvious that they are working on another game, and hopefully the team behind Diablo I and II are working on III lol.
New job postings as of 3/14 - 4/5 of the job listings that day were Diablo related.

More to come...
I watched (and liked) Mr. Rogers too but... That was pretty boring. His slow speech is great for little kids, however; I bet they passed it just so he would stop talking.
BTW use that same trick (slow talking) on annoying people (policemen, reporters, annoying customers) and it'll be the sweetest revenge ever!
Also: Another job posting by Blizzard.
That was amazing. Fuck, I nearly came to rears.
Scratch that, one came through. He was a great man.
Relive all the epic battles of Diablo with:
The Diablo Loot Pinata!
Am I a nerd or does this excite anyone else?
Edit: Wait... April fools? Damn.
Edit 2: There are a lot of April fools jokes from Blizzard this year... Anyone know what they did last year? Just curious.
Edit 3: If there where a bard in WoW (especially a double-guitar wielding Jimmy Page-like bard) I would buy and subscribe- Just for it.
That's just histarical.
That's lol worthy.

Info could be bunk. Photo could be a doctored up DII cover stuffed in a Windows DVD case for all I know. Just have a look-see.
It is clearly a doctored D2 cover. The center "I" is two halves of the right "I" enlarged and pasted together. And the Diablo image looks like a bad drawing of a Gremlin.
Actually that's the first thing I've noticed, but... Who knows? Not I. And that is 'for sure'.
I meant the two ads beneath the news on the front page (I just noticed them, I don't truly know how long they've been there) look very similar, and are in a similar place, to BlizzPlanet's ads... Not that it's bad... It does support my whole d3.com is going over to BlizzPlanets domain though.
I've been browseing Blizzard Entertainment's wares ever since it was founded by Michael Morhaime, Allen Adham, and Frank Pearce [then Silicon & Synapse], back in 1991.
If what my current aformentioned knowledges are lead to be believed, "that" which is coming out of the very closed doors of Irvine, California, will completely, and totally redefine the genre: badass.
When I was much younger, I'd connect to Blizzard Entertainment's website, and see a new annoucement, after new annoucement, after another....symbolism, plethora of historical references, and then I thought: "hey, wait a second, who are these guys? They aren't like any other videogame developer. I'm in love!"
As each new clue and an arcane explosion of riddles were released, every new title became a game to me; "what could it be?" Early on, I thought I was nuts. I had made "certain" connections, but then thought: "no, no, no way, that's impossible!". Which in turn developed into: "ok, that's it, that just defines coincidence to a tee!".
And yet, here I am before you today, with the very same facial expression, of which Keanu Reeves displayed, when he had learned of the matrix: "Whoa!". As Blizzard's current project[s?] are indeed that which can be defined by a single alkaline battery.
If you ponder as to why I torture and tease, WWI 2008 isn't "very" far off........
/diabolical laugh
Very cool post - I agree, Blizzard is a very unique company, and they roxor our boxorz.
You should make a thread introducing yourself. Good to have you aboard.:D
Sounds to me like you might know something. I don't know if you do or not, but the way that you type is unlike a normal forum junkie, and more like an employee at Blizzard.
Yous talkins reeul faynsi liyke, wid big wurds an stuff.
I don't think I've ever seen this many jobs posted in such a short amount of time... BIG stuff happening at Blizzard.
