Umaro here, just letting everyone know I'm currently sitting in my hotel room in California getting ready for Blizzcon in a few short days. This ofcourse means you will be getting new information and photos in the next couple days so stayed tuned.
at least another game will be announced, so even if it is not diablo III (which im 85% sure of), itll be a new game. Looking at the abilities of Blizzard, i wouldnt mind a new Blizzard game, perhaps itll even be better then diablo (apologies for all who feel offended).
Why a new franchise though? Blizzard has money sitting on the Diablo series.

This also seems possible; that if Blizzard wishes to experiment with a new franchise, then they would simultaneously experiment with it being on a console.

It just seems to me that making any new PC game franchise would resemble another one of Blizzard's already existing franchises and therefore be flawed from the beginning. It would be a better idea to either make a new franchise for a console or extend Wc, Sc, or Diablo gaming onto the console.
I am betting that if it is anounced it will be at the end of the second day. If you look at the schedule for blizzcon, on the first day the events go strait up to 10:00pm but on the second they all stop at 9:30pm. Not to mention that everyone would be in the Arena at that time, it just seems like the perfect time to drop a bombshell.
Wish for the best And im gonna be prepared for the worst by storming the convention with duel sawd off shotguns if they dont anounce d3 =o Scary I know but I'm joking. Omg hey I got an idea ok if u saw meet the fockers the father put some weird chemical in one guy and he was on stage and he told the truth about random things. Why not get that weird chemical and put it in each of the blizz dev's drinks......
well, we can put all the rumors and guessing aside, it will *hopefully* be revealed tomorrow. If they make us wait until 8pm or whatever Saturday, that'd just be cruel, but hey it is Blizzard.

i hope they do announce D3 but imo whatever they announce (as long as its not SC or WoW related) i will be pleased
if its not SC or WoW related theres practically a 100% chance(note i said PRACTICALLY) that it will be Diablo related.. blizz knows whats good for them theyre just lazy in doing it..
Umm You all forgot. They said It wasnt going to be another (World Of warcraft). They never said it wasn't an expansion eighter. They would of have to said its not world of warcraft related.

It's nice thinking, but the schedule for the event SC2 was announced at had a big slot named "new game announcement " and stuff.

And since Blizz is a pretty secretive company, I wouldn't put it past them. Yes, I am all too optimistic at this point, but let's not rule this possibility out.
