it's not that big of a player pool that they would have to look at if you think about it.
in order to take advantage of the exploit the players had to be in grift 27+ according to the posts about said exploit within the first week of the seasons, so it pretty much affects only players who have been pushing progression and actually competing on the leaderboards since they would have to be able to do T6+ content at a reasonable speed to take full advantage of this.
which is another big reason why this must be dealt with to keep the legitimacy of the seasonal rankings because it directly affects the players who are actually competing.

mannercookie posted a message on Greater Rifts XP exploit - 70+b xp/hour - 200+ paragon lvl dayPLVLs aren't the form of competition, however when everyone has reached the near optimal gear the difference will be in PLVLs.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Now if these exploits were getting something along the lines of 10-15b xp per hour, it wouldn't really matter and the incident can be ignored since this is about the 2-3x the pace of the most efficient pace of farming in the end with near end game gear.
The different between PLVL 600 and PLVL 650 won't make or break the GRIFT leaderboards.
However when players are getting 70B+ xp per hour as it's being reported in this thread, now they are able to break into the gap where PLVLS will make a difference, for example PLVL 600 @ efficient non-exploit farming vs PLVL 800 @ exploited farming.
With this the GRIFT leaderboards will be affected since the paragon differential between exploiters and non-exploiters will be large enough that the numbers/stats will make significant enough difference.
This must be dealt with at the minimum for seasonal characters, all exploiters must be reset at the very least or they might as well scrap this season and start over. -

mannercookie posted a message on Greater Rifts XP exploit - 70+b xp/hour - 200+ paragon lvl dayI've never been against fun exploits in the past with Diablo when nothing mattered and there was no "competition".Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
but with seasons and their attempt at competition it's absolutely unacceptable.
For someone like myself who is "competing" and earned paragon levels legitimately this kind of stuff pretty much makes seasons pointless to continue playing.
If there is no action taken against at the minimum seasonal players there is pretty much 0 point in continuing to play this first season. -

Bagstone posted a message on Gems no longer upgrade infinitely?I do like that they got rid of "infinite" upgrading. "Infinite" anything always leads to a broken system (infinite paragon only works because it is really ridiculously difficult to get to 1000 or higher).Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I do not like the new scaling, I think it should take longer than 2-3 hours to get the secondary for any given gem. They missed an opportunity to create some longevity there, in my opinion. -

MeatHeadMikhail posted a message on PTR 2.1 - 50 Crusader Hellfire Amulets (Video)Today I want to talk about the new best in slot Hellfire amulet - for the Crusader. In this video I discuss ideal passives for softcore/hardcore, runner-up passives, preferable rolls, and how difficult it is to actually get a good one. I craft 50 amulets, briefly hover over the bad ones, then spend some time going over the few good ones I got (already enchanted), along with builds they'll be used for. Enjoy!Posted in: Crusader: The Church of Zakarum

MeatHeadMikhail posted a message on PTR 2.1 - Barbarian Fire HOTA + IK Build (Video)Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Unless you have fury generation (fury ancients), dual wielding for HOTA is not good in 2.1. 2h is more sheet dps than dual wield anyway, and you STILL run out of fury even with a 1.0 APS weapon.Quote from Eifos1Nice vid, maybe you can use furious charge with stamina instead of sprint and buff dps some with another passive then unforgiving, also i would like to ask what other options u recommend instead of furnace since i dont have one. i have a maxed rolled maximus with does decent dmg now on ptr but a dual wield with burning axe and a 30% sunkeeper sound good as well especially with hota where you get the ats bonus. this build is kinda what i used since ROS release and IK was the first set i obtained (did use asheare then aswell) but on live it doesent go further then T4 so im glad it works now since i dont feel like bunny hopping or pinballing -

MeatHeadMikhail posted a message on Hellskull vs hallowed barricadeHallowed only gives 20% holy, which is additive to other sources of holy.Posted in: Crusader: The Church of Zakarum
Hellskull gives 15% skill damage, 10% all damage (multiplicative with other sources), AND cooldown reduction.
Only reason to go for Hallowed is either a) you have enough DPS otherwise and don't need the CDR or you're going for a 1h build where you can use crafted weapon as well for 15% AS bonus. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
