posted a message on Reworking the Might of the Earth set

I do like the suggestion, but I'd rather have it benefit stuff more in line with a druidic/mage feel (just for giggles):

2-piece: Reduces the cooldown and mana costs of Avalanche and Earthquake by 35%
4-piece: Increase damage of Avalanche and Earthquake by 300%
          6-piece: Enemies affected by Avalanche or Earthquake take 250% more damage from Seismic Slam, Hammer of the Ancients and Ancient Spear for 3 seconds (can be refreshed);

Numbers are just some estimatives. but should be fun though. Leap-Quake was the best on its early days lol.

posted a message on When did paragon leveling become mandatory?

I'd rather have more 4 Stat options per tab as has been suggested since Paragon 2.0 was announced.

Small boosts to Elemental Damage, Elite Damage, Elite Reduction, Melee Reduction, Block, Ranged Reduction, Dodge, and on and on and on...

This would raise the needed level to "Max" Paragon levels to 1600... Removing the excessive amount of Main Stat points spended.

People who play 24/7 and level like crazy dont even represent 1% of the playerbase. Devs shouldnt take drastic measures based on addicted people.

I've been a casual player since release, sometimes taking a break for a few weeks, etc. Have never farmed levels like a moron, I'm currently Paragon 600+ and actually having a great time with this Cube hype.

    Edit: Grammar and clarity!

posted a message on What is "wave of destruction"

I was wondering the same, did some research and learned that Archon abillities have other names.

Maybe its the "transformation" into Archon from the Fire Rune? Makes sense, you gather stacks pre-archon, get in melee range, cast Archon and deal all that extra damage upon transformation (or something...).

Hello, does "Era 2 ending tomorrow"means we'll get 2.2 patch on live? I suppose they'll patch the game despite Season 3 starting later...

    Can anyone confirm?

Great job Debo, I'm looking forward to test those myself!

I was wondering, do you think its viable to run with TMF and LMF at the same time? I understand all pets will be dealing less damage, but does the single target potential from the Dog makes it viable?

    Cheers!

posted a message on Question about Pets and Gem Procs!

Greetings, I did some research but couldnt find anything conclusive on this, I'm asking since I'm pretty excited with the new Little Man's Finger ring in 2.2 and such...:

I'm aware that Procs dont proc other procs. (Fetishes generated from the Passive Skill, for example.)

But would Gargantuan/Zombie Dogs proc gems, since they're part of a skill? I've read something about pets proc'ing Pain Enhancer DoT a while ago... Do they proc Mirinae's Smite and so forth?

    Thanks in advance!

posted a message on Question about Leg Gems!
Hello fellow Wizards, I'll explain what I'm planning to do so you understand why I'm asking what I'm asking.

I started gearing a Cold Wizard (for fun, of course) in preparation for the new Wizard Set. I'm running this Glacial Spike MM with Rimeheart and Frostburn build. As far as I've researched, most classes have a hard time procin' Rimeheart, but it seems to be procin' "decently" with this. Here's the armory link: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Rysevas-1796/hero/40561512

There's still a lot in terms of gear needed, so keep that in mind.

Thing is: I dont think I wanna focus on Magic Missile damage at all (with +% Skill), for now I'm only using Mirinae gem, which procs alot since each MM projectile can proc on its own, and seems to be irreplace-able since I have an unreliable proc from the Rimeheart.

I believe the best to do is to focus on my own dps since Mirinae and Rimeheart proc based on my weapon's damage and when the new set hits, Time Slow bubbles will also deal damage based on Weapon Damage, which might complement eachother nicely. I do believe Bane of the Powerful is the next strong candidate, which leaves me in doubt about the third gem.

    - Zei's Stone of Vengeance - will it only boost my casted skill damage? Does it interact with my dps in any way? Will it make my Mirinae's and Rimeheart's procs stronger, or only my Glacial Spikes?
    - Bane of the Trapped - Does the same thing applies? Will my MM hit harder but my procs stay the same? Or the "Deal bonus damage to CC'd enemies" also benefit my procs of choice?

Or, if I'm completely misinformed, please let me know your thoughts on this!

Rimeheart is currently procin' for 180m on normal mobs and 270m on elites. Mirinae procs for 35 - 40m.

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

posted a message on Gold find during the community buff
I have created many new characters since RoS' release. And wow! It takes something between 70 - 90 million gold to craft all Max Gems for a single char. (Considering Weap, Torso, Pants and Helm).

It's quite a lot! I was never able to hoard gold, I'll take the bonus happily!

(Edit: Plus the RIDICULOUS amount of gold we wasted on stupid Enchantments when we were RoS' noobs. lol)

posted a message on Barbarian returning from Vanilla, need help!
    Hello mate,

I have some personal tips that may help you a bit:

    1) The most important thing you should do now is farming a Ring of Royal Grandeur. It reduces the Set Pieces Requirement of all sets your wear by 1. Most mid-endgame builds require the RoRG, since it enables you to wear 2 or more full sets at the same time.

In case you dont know how to get one, you can run Act 1 Bounties in Adventure Mode, upon completing all 5 random bounties in the act, you get a Horadric Cache from Tyrael, which has a very low chance to drop the ring - currently, it is the only way to get this item to drop.

    2) Get a socket in ALL your weapons, no matter what class you're playing, and as of now, placing Emeralds for Critical Damage bonus is the absolute way to go.

    3) This one might require the RoRG. Since this step is what takes you to the endgame: You can craft some Sets as well, the plans drop randomly and soon you'll have found them all (if you havent already) - you should craft Aughild's and if you think you need it, Captain Crimsom's.

Aim for sockets on Chest/Pants since high rank gems give 280 Strengh Each!

That should carry you for a while,

    Cheers!

posted a message on Unique Hellfire rings... maybe, hopefully?
    You're right Myrroddin.

All created Hellfire Rings roll as smart-loot. If you want one with STR, you have to create it with a Barb/Crusader.

About equiping them on followers: Yes, you can both equip the rings at the same tme but only 1/5 of the item's "adventuring stats" (bonus xp, bonus gold, etc) will be added to your Character, so you'll get minimal benefits from those.

Other stats (Main Stats, Damage Bonuses, Critical Chance/Damage) from your follower are not added to your Character in any way.

    --

(In my opinion, not worth the headache of farming keys/organs for a minimal boost - better saving those for the new 2.1 Hellfire Amulet, which will be around pretty soon.)

posted a message on Brainstorming Legendary Effects!
    Introduction
In this topic I'd like to show you the ideas I came up with for new item sets, I've spent some time calculating damage/cooldowns/usefulness and, in general, it feels alright I guess. I've also tried to maintain them simple (in the sense that they wouldnt take too much time from developers to make, etc).

I'm also very interested in seeing your own ideas!

My main idea is trying to give some extra flavor to some skills that aren't that popular and propose new utilities that weren't explored before for some skills, but feel free to post items adding/changing effects for any skills! The more, the better!

Any and all numbers below are "representative", the main idea here is creating new builds and gaming styles, we'll worry about balance later on.

So I've organized them under each Class heading, and the sets themselves are named after the skill they benefit. I've even added some catchy phrases for each set, but I eventually ran out of inspiration, lol.

You can post your ideas like I did, or you can use your own format, it's your call.

Also, if you can, try to answer these questions:

    1) From the items that already exist in the game, what are your favorite legendary item effects? (From sets or single items)

    2) Do they feel epic/rewarding?

    3) What else would you like to see implemented? (regarding legendary item effects)

    Considerations
I'm sorry if any of these effects/ideas already exist or if they have already been posted by someone else, elsewhere. I havent really checked. Forgive me for any typos.

    Here we go:

    -- WITCH DOCTOR --
(Haunt Set)"The spirits aid me." - Traditional umbaru saying.

2 pieces - Enemies affected by Haunt take 10% additional damage from all sources.
4 pieces - Haunt gains the effect of every rune. (The casting cost is increased to 200 Mana)
6 pieces - Enemies killed while under the effect of Haunt are raised as Apparitions, which fight for the player for 10 seconds, dealing 150% weapon damage with each swing. (A total of 5 apparitions are allowed at the same time. They can move through walls and mobs)

(Sacrifice Set)"From dust they came, to dust they return."

2 pcs - When an enemy is killed by Sacrifice, it will also explode for 120% weapon damage to nearby enemies.
4 pcs - Enemies damaged by Sacrifice are stunned for 3 seconds.
6 pcs - Sacrifice gains the effect of every rune. Damage of initial explosion is increased to 285%. (Up from 185%)

(Gargantuan Set)"The umbaru bended powerful entities to their will."

2 pcs - The Gargantuan periodically taunts enemies to attack him. Gargantuan basic attacks reduce targeted enemies damage/attack speed/movement speed by 20% for 3 seconds.
4 pcs - The Gargantuan gains the Restless Giant Rune (enrage). Its cooldown is reduced to 60 seconds (down from 120 secs).
6 pcs - The Gargantuan's Critical Hits will always do Area Damage (Equal to player's amount) and stun nearby enemies for 1 second.

(Mass Confusion Set)"Panic can be a dangerous thing, fear will lead you to do strange actions."

2 pcs - Casting Mass Confusion instantly regenerates 75% of your total mana.
4 pcs - Mass Confusion gains the effect of every rune.
6 pcs - Up to 3 confused enemies will follow and fight for you until they die (they can even cast their own basic spells, if they had any available). Doesn't work with Elites.

    -- WIZARD --
(Storm Armor Set)"If only Isendra could see this now!"

2 pcs - The thunder proc from Storm Armor procs twice as fast.
4 pcs - The thunder proc now hits for 300% Weapon Damage (up from 147% without damage rune).
6 pcs - Three thunders proc now simultaneously, hiting a total of 3 different targets. A single enemy can't be targeted by more than a thunder at the same time.

(Black Hole Set)"The Vizjerei delved into powers not meant for man."

2 pcs - Enemies hit by Black Hole have their senses numbed. There is a 50% chance affected enemies are stunned for 3 seconds after Black Hole ends.
4 pcs - The enemies that weren't stunned are Charmed, fighting for you for 3 seconds.
6 pcs - The black hole becomes a channeled spell (similar to Kurekas from Act V's event "The Great Weapon"). You channel the black hole centered on you for 3 seconds, pulling all enemies in 20 yards into your direction and damaging them for 900% Arcane Damage every second for 3 seconds. The cooldown is increased to 20 seconds and the Arcane Power cost to 50. Stuns/Knockbacks/Freezes cancel the channeling, but enemies are still Stunned/Charmed by you.

(Energy Twister Set)"Would you fear it, or would you ride it?"

2 pcs - Your twisters now pull enemies into them. (In a subtle manner, slowly. Works with all runes, each twister procs this effect once)
4 pcs - Whenever you or an ally picks up a health globe, spawns a Twister at the globe's location. (With the rune you've set)
6 pcs - Spending 50 Arcane Power will spawn an extra Energy Twister (with the rune you've set) at your location. (Counts towards Storm Chaser rune stacks)

    -- BARBARIAN --
(Shouts Set)"It is said that the offspring of Bul-Khatos could tear down walls with their furious shouts."

2 pcs - Battle Fury no longer costs Fury to cast, it now generates 10 Fury (Battle Fury now has a 20 sec cooldown). Threatening Shout and War Cry now generate additional 10 Fury when cast.
4 pcs - Shouting boosts nearby allies morale. You and your allies receive 10% increased attack speed for 5 seconds after you shout.
6 pcs - Whenever you shout, enemies within 10 yards take 180% weapon damage.

    (Rend Set)
2 pcs - Removes the fury cost for Rend. It now generates 10 Fury. Gains a 5 second cooldown.
4 pcs - Enemies that die while affected by Rend have 20% extra chance to drop a health globe.
6 pcs - Rend gains the effect of every rune.

(Whirlwind Set)"The boon of Talic is upon my every swing."

2 pcs - Moving 10 yards increase your damage by 1% for 10 seconds.
4 pcs - Enemies hit by Whirlwind take 10% additional damage from all sources for 2 seconds. Critical Hits have 5% chance to produce health globes.
6 pcs - The Barbarian gains 10% increased Armor and All Resistances while Whirlwinding.

    -- CRUSADER --
    (Steed Charge Set)
2 pcs - Activating Steed Charge generates 20 Wrath. Increases duration to 3 seconds.
4 pcs - Steed Charge gains the Ramming Speed rune (damage + knockback) and has 100% chance do deal Critical Damage to all enemies it hits.
6 pcs - Enemies hit by Steed Charge are stunned for 2 seconds. Generates 10 Wrath for each enemy hit while charging.
