I think i now why we are upset.

Because if we reroll our old gear we will have good ger, not BIS gear but good gear.

And we all now that we WONT get good drops, so with our old enchanted gear we would still have an option to have solid gear to play in ROS.

I really like this game and i have never been so upset about any decision that they made as i m today.
I dont think you experienced the beta than, you can easily gear for Torment 3 with strong rares you gamble from Kadala, thats not even counting your actual drops. There is no problem for a fresh toon with no gear to go 1-70 and be ready for torment in a matter of hours, the old legacy gear aint gona old you back one bit. The only reason to be upset about the changes are these:

-Did not experience the ease of entry level gear on the beta, im talking plain rare here, work just fine and with the right build every class can take on t1-3, almost immediately after reaching level cap.

-Spend ridiculous amount of money for video game pixels that will be deleted, while knowing it was gona happen eventually from the start. In essence you are more mad at yourself than you are at blizzard, that rage has to go somewhere however.

    I agree with this move.

I agree because I think everybody should start out on even ground when RoS starts , regardless of the hours you spent in D3V , this is a new expansion and you are already getting an advantage by having Gold and Paragon levels move from D3V , I also am not sure why Mannercookie is that angry about the change , if you are saying that all the level 60 items will be useless once we get level 70 legendaries , then why are you annoyed by this change ? best case scenario these items will last a month or two into RoS and then they will become as useless as anything else because they are already bound to your account and you have better items anyways and they are only taking stash space , if it is because it devalues your current account , then you waited too long to cash out if you wanted to cash out , the risks have been there since the beginning and if you were worried about losing all that money you could have made then maybe you should have sold all your gear earlier and stayed on the safe side of things.

I can understand your frustration MC , but if you were instead of blizzard , you wouldn't want the mistakes of the past to be repeated , if there is a chance for one item to become BiS after RoS then that is a huge huge mistake on their part like Legacy Nat set bonus , these items broke the game in D3V when they had good stats and made DH invincible when you can stay in smokescreen all day long and Philos showed the potential of these items in RoS and they are still game breaking , blizzard wanted to be on the safe side of things and avoid any potential hazards like Legacy Nat or other items from being repeated. Rather safe than sorry.
But there are other measures that Blizz could take in consideration and not just remove legacy out of the equation. They could for example just lower the potential stat ranges that enchanting a legacy would produce = restrictions. Or they could buff all 70 legendaries a bit.

I'm sure there are more other ways to do it, but removing the choice of being able to enchan them completely is just extreme imo.

I've said it before, and I say it again; there is NO middle ground in Blizzards measures. I think that is really weird!

Sorry for cussing. Not cussing towards you Emantis, or anyone else for that matter, just for emphasis :)
    Edited out the F-words... :)
The problem from my experience was really only weapons(and some rings), rerolled damage on some legendary weapon: Manticore, Skorn, etc. They had primary stats like huge crit damage, which the post 2.0+ dont roll. They have the old % damage affix. Rerolling their damage made them into better item than most lvl 70, the only reason to pick up a new weapon is if the special legendary effect was justifiying the damage lost.

Sure they could have made it so that rerolling the damage can only reroll into the lvl 60 scale of damage..... but then whats excatly the point? Its just mean the weapon is gona go down the same way, enchantress or not, straight to the blacksmith when you find anythng over lvl 61.

Good choice by blizz, when my lvl 60 manticore with rerolled damage, out damage anything i could find on the beta, it was a red flag to me.

The old Legacy Nats will be op thats for sure
The old Legacy Nats will **get you one shot or miss 1/3 of your dexterity**, is the correct thing. That bonus is not even great in PTR 2.0.1, let alone at lvl 70, Id take the new nat in a heart beat even if they had the same stats, unending Rain of vengeance > discipline regen that you dont really need (gear is flooded with + discipline and nobody even use shadow power anymore, if you had not noticed yet). Im not even sporting any of the passives that regen discipline and i have too much for what i can do with it on the beta, i dont get what OP you could get from that set, aside from terrible stats.

posted a message on A little Heart to Heart about RoS...
Yeah i agree with the MVP. I think some of their idea are great, hell im not against BoA. The problem is they dont seems to have planned this around BoA much and really only listens to the streamers that put hundreds of hours into the game as their basis (probably since they make up most of the vocal beta invites). The truth is for a normal gamer, that does not survive only on gaming, RoS has huge flaws. Mainly that some of their best ideas are tied to the loot and said loot does not drop in a reasonable manner right now, even with the blood shards. In the present Beta patch, drop rates are lower than they are live for the average MP5-6 player farming and thats with an auction house present. Add to that, they tied "build diversity" into items, items that have very marginal chances to drop as is. Realisticly there wont be a diversity for most players, youll use the build for which you found the gear for (if you find any that is). Im stuck using my lvl 60 manticore on the beta, nothing i find even come close with the rerolled damage. The passive crit damage and 2 socket is beyond anything i find and the legendary that has a proc that could be more useful, are not anywhere in sight, it could be 500h, 600h, 3000h, hell never. I cannot trade to reach a goal. This problem can only be accentuate as they add more legendary, which is another big problem, the legendary pool is just too big for random BoA to work with the current drop. It unrealistic to believe most players will remain in the game to farm thousands of hours to mabye find what they want. Thats without even taking into account youll find many clone of the less rare legendary. As is now, even using exploits at the shrine to spawn hundreds of elite pack instantly, people barely found anything. There has to be a middle ground between fill your bags with legendary in a single run (beta original drops) and find a legendary once per 500 elite pack (right now). This has to be found before release as well, because right now this game is not gona be appealing to the majority of potential buyers, which do not stream diablo 3 for 8 hours a day. If they wanted to go BoA, with such a diverse loot, they should have went for a more borderland style loot, in that the good stuff drop randomly from a certain boss, monster or event. This way its still rare and random, but you know where to look at for something. If you wanna waste 50h to farm azmodan for that one bow he drops, you know that eventually youll have it, could take a while because its random, but eventually youll get there. If they dont wanna tie loot to certain things, than they seriously need to rethink BoA, because this only stop people from having goals ever and make any clone gear = useless. Theres no way around that. If they dont want to have trade or more predictable loot table, than they need to increase the drops dramaticly, because realisticly majority of your drops will be useless clones that you will delete instantly. People really arent gona keep playing for that.

I'm simply complaining that it's not "new" it's simply three existing bosses thrown onto an existing map together and that isn't an acceptable standard for expansion content in my opinion.
The absolute same thing was done in D2 and no one complained
D2 ubers werent an expansion release content. Apples and Oranges

Thanks alot Ducha. We already knew from activision investors calls that they had 2 expansions planned at the very least. An ending like this does not surprise, otherwise it would be the end of the franchines.

Its funny how people still complain about the price of video games, price went down from what it was in the 90s..... you know unlike everything else? Video game stayed at the same price for decades? Unlike everything else in the world?

Consoles arent done, it was said last gen and the Xbox one and PS4 are currently selling faster than their previous versions. People always speculate that the next thing will die, pc, console, what ever. When ever its streaming its game or not, a closed box from a company is still a console.

Considering i saw 2 PC Collector edition of D3 still sitting at my local gamespot last week, i dont think its one of their prime seller lol. Facture in the rep the game had from how poor vanilla was.... i dont think they are blowing pre order records. If they had enough preorder you bet they would have one. I personally didnt pre order, i got burned hard with D3 and ME3 in recent times. Ill believe the promises when i see them from now on.

posted a message on Loot and paragon 2.0 Your guess?

If you guys did not read it yet, front page blue says the client will be updated by the end of this month. Meaning that the activation of the patch can be any time from the end of this month to the release of RoS itself. As posted above me, the PTR/Beta client, still have an AH tab ingame and in files, it is entirely possible the patch will launch with it.
