Saying your gear is trivial does not make it trivial.
Its almost all crafted yellows and dropped...... I had that gear literally 2 hours after hitting lvl 70, minus the gloves? Im not sure since when are crafted rares considered anything but trivial. I guess you could say i had gold to spend on mystic to make useless gear potent with some digging, but id hardly call it good gear for now or hard to achieve. I spend about 15 million gold since the expansion hit, thats with gems for both DH and Crusader crafted.

Its entry gear, easy to gather reasonably quickly which is the intent.

To be honest the steed just makes this a non issue, im usually way ahead of the party because of that, run speed almost never comes into play as a crusader.
25 sec cooldown for 2 seconds run speed...kinda sucks
    its a wasted slot imo
Its 3 second with the right rune...... i have yet to see a crusader without it lol. It breaks CC, Makes you immune to them as well. In that 3 second you jump way ahead.

Added an image of my stats for Rayaleith. This is about the average stats for a crusader in mostly 70 rares ready for torment 1. Note the block is low because i went for holy cause for damage instead of hold your ground. But with punish i still see alot of healing with renewal. Its where difference in gear and passives come into play with unmandatory passives of the spec.

700K dps and 12mil toughness does not sound like trivial. Unless it is for a crusader at 70.
Its at 70, mostly rare gear, enchanted correctly, leveled gems a bit, only flawlesss royal is green in weapon. I got 1 set glove now and 1 legendary weapon. Its pretty trivial for a heavens strength crusader, i saw some with 900k/1 million dps before buffs. A slightly better weapon since i saw some that are 2900 dps would probably push me up. The toughness is even easier i actually downgraded myself i was at 16 million for a while but i started taking it out to increase damage. Crusader stats are missleading because we get such raw stats from stuff like heavenly strength and finery.

1 million dps on a crusader is like a 600k dps on a wizard pretty much lol. Its pretty late ill get some screenshots tomorow mabye.

I could bring my crusader to your help in the tank role, but i deal pretty solid damage so i wouldnt call it tanking. With passives i have 700k dps and 12 million thoughness unbuffed. I am in a vacuum and buff spec as well. Are you the Deeyoueye from the NA region? I sent you a friend invite.

Switched to Crusader as my only toon as soon as i worked this spec into my friends group. This build is easy to gear, easy to solo and on top of it probably one of the best build to have in any party. It comes with strong damage, moderate control, huge buffs and doesent have any particular weakness when it comes to elite affixes, infact some like thunderstorm are useful to you lol.

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/crusader#aciRVf!aWhS!ZbaYYb
You need marginal gear to solo torment 1 at lvl 70. Im doing it with 700k dps and 12 million thoughness. My only legendary item being my 2 hander enchanted to have a socket. Its a pretty bland legendary 2690 dps, 1099 str, 1000 vit and the socket. Another almost requirement is a solid shield with % crit chance and sweep attack damage if possible.

Stats priority is Crit damage > str > % damage to sweep attack> crit chance = attack speed > all resist > armor > vit > life on hit > what ever else you feel like.

So what makes this build solid and easy, first lets look at all the spells.

Punish - Celerity, a single target builder that both increase your survivability and your damage in the form of attack speed when you block, you block often with punish and a decent shield. (Thats part 1 of why you like thunderstorm).

Sweep Attack - Holy shock or Blazing Sweep, if you feel you dont need anymore life on hit, Blazing sweep for the damage, otherwise holy shock will make you invincible. Theres not much to say about this spender that most people dont already know, its by far the most efficient spender crusader have right now, it only cost 20 wrath and pretty big cleave damage, mine crits from 3-3.5 million to all the way 5 millions solo with my own buffs.

Condemn - Vacuum, this is where the power begins, this is what you will start elites and even big white mobs pack with. Just run in there and start sucking.

Judgment - Resolved, this is step 2, before condemn goes off pop this baby in the middle of the elite pack you just sucked in. Unless you have under 20% crit chance, which even in my shit rares where i dont even try to have crit chance yet still have 45%, this means for the next 5 seconds your attacks and those of your party on these targets will have 100% crit chance. While soloing this mean a guarantee Condemn crit nearing 20 millions.

Laws of Valor - Critical, this is step 2.5, as soon as you hit judgment hit this spell for 100% crit damage increase to your whole party. Now that both judgment and Laws of valor are used, just spam Sweep attack away and an elite pack dies under 10 seconds. Its especially powerful in groups while having some class with powerfull dps buffs like a WD, Wizard or a DH. Id say out of all classes your best allie is WD because they have a harder time getting high crit chance unlike DH, but what ever happens you are capping them, they will be thankful who ever class is with you. You are making them crit 100% of the time and adding 100% crit damage to their stats.

Steed charge - endurance, Its almost boring to make a crusader build without it, get you out of CC, makes you faster, etc. Theres no reason to make a case for this spell.

Passive only 2 Are mandatory and 1 is highly recommended to test and see for yourself, 1 is optional.

Heavenly strength, theres no way to play this build effectively without it. It gives the most damage increase out of any passives. The whole point of the spec is to deal massive damage quickly with crit damage and raw damage, if you arent supporting the strongest weapon and the highest possible stats, it kinda goes against the spec, youd be better served by something less bursty.

Finery, Im putting this as mandatory, again this is pure free stats 70 free Strength per gems you have, it should be DPS gems, mabye a few diamonds for all resist if you think you dont have enough resist, But you should double stack this bonus for Strength really.

Renewal, this is not mandatory, but i highly recommend people test this out if they feel they want to leave it out. This is part #2 of why you love thunderstorm, the tics heals you for more than the damage TS does on block, way more actually. When theres a thunderstorm around i can sit in sentry. This thing Heal you for 12000 at level 70 everytime you block. With punish in the build, you should give it a shot, if you dont want to use it or are so geared torment 6 cant hurt you, drop it and drop punish for something like slash at this point.

Holy cause, this is optional depending on your weapon, my weapon deals holy damage, this is a flat damage increase and thats it. It gave me a pretty solid increase in sheet dps because of the 2 hander with massive holy damage affix. 10% of that damage is alot once multiplied by your Strength and all your other DPS stats.

If you do not have an Holy 2 hander pick something else, theres alot of good stuff. For one if you went with renewal hold your ground is a no brainer, flat 15% increase block chance to heal yourself for 12000. If you did not because you dont need the survivability, fervor and righteousness should be your best bet.

Waste of dev time. Also it was never like what the OP is asking in D2, if you stick to a classic character it didnt stop leveling, it simply did not have access to the new content. The OP is asking for the reversal, not level and have access to new content, not happening.

posted a message on Paragon points on a Crusader
Since the crusader can actually reach 10000 armor + easily, the % armor is actually his better defensive stat, the higher your base armor is the best it will become. Unless your AR on gear is abnormally low. All resist cap for paragon is 250, 10000 armor gives you 2500 armor. If you go beyond 10000 armor, the stats actually gives you more.

Life per second is average and only become better the less damage you take, therefore their point are lesser until you max armor and resist. % life is a waste because it actually reduce the effectiveness of stats like life per second compared to armor and all resist. Block mechanism is also scaling much better with flat reduction of damage, since the less damage you take, the more your block matter, eventually blocking the full damage of hits with enough reduction.

The only class that life % is a big help to is the DH, due to most of their viable healing sources are currently based on % of HP, AR still being the first one to max.

Yeah its an interesting idea, im glad blizzard is liking it. Like i said i understand they want Adventure mode to be the best farm, so 4 legendary guarantee might be a bit much. 1-2 is more like it. Just enough so that you feel good about reseting your quest and playing the story, theres a little carrot to race, gives you one more option to break up from adventure mode.

posted a message on New mechanic soon, guarantee legendary on diablo reset.
To be honest its a pretty solid idea, im loving reseting quests myself and that was without knowing sk had a guarantee drop. Its not like you can cheese it or anything since you must finish every single quest to be able to reset and you must have reset your own quest. So theres no real way to exploit it at all, its just a nice feature and on Diablo is something that finally make the final boss, feel like something you want to kill. Usually on a full clear at t3 i get 6-10 legendary, thats just one extra, but i like that its tied to a boss.

Id say at lvl 70 the final boss should also have that feature, doing all 5 act will still not net the legendary adventure mode does to begin with, but with that mechanic if you want to replay all quests, theres a little extra reward with it. More options is never a bad thing.

posted a message on % Elemental damage question.
The new affix does not take into consideration weapon element. Thats why it says "skills"
and not "damage". The affix only work at the very end of spells calculation and it must be using the element that the bonus is for. I tested weapons with cold damage and even auto attack are not increased by it as a DH. Its their way of making sure we never have a black weapon 2.0.

Id say the less useful to me is barb, their team buff is mostly survivability which is not completely needed in most cases. I wouldnt say they are useless. Everyone else seems to bring noticable Damage buff, which is always welcomed. DH wolf, monk mantra of conviction plus sucking enemies into place, WD big bad voodoo and a wizard with slow time are on top of my list when it comes to who i want on my team. Stack all 4 and watch elite packs melt even on torment 6.

Since im a DH myself im gona say WD and Monk are mostly my logical allies of choice. They both play closer to the fight than me, they both have pretty solid CC and both increase my damage considerably while i increase theirs.

I dont think you should just pick which class to play on such informations, just try the classes and see who you love playing. considering how quick it is to level up now. Grouping people are more worried about if you are a useful player, all classes bring something in most cases, enough to not ever gimp the group.

posted a message on POLL: Favorite Class post Patch 2.0.1?!
While i agree that people where jumping on the wagon, let be real it was nerfed lol. Infinite WOTB, infinite fury, i mean its a nerf. A nerf that it needed but still a nerf, you can call it something else i guess. Like i said barb still work, the problem is they suffer in the section of are they actually fun to play. In this section to me (personal opinion), they took the seat of Demon hunter (coincidence its the only 2 classes i play, used to play only barb/amazon/paladin in d2). They took a turn to the DH side of the coin, its viable, but feels shitty, its slow, annoying. People used to draw conclusion as to why DH had problems and most of the time compared to barbarian, because they both share a pretty simular damage resource.

Old DH problem: Hatered spender do poor damage per hatered. Many spells costing low cost; elemental arrow a good exemple. Building Hatered is decently fast. The problem was that the damage per hatered spend was bad, you didnt achieve that much damage while unloading for the time you spent building. Elemental arrow used to tickle, charkram was uncontrolable, cluster arrow cost 3-5 time more ressource per damage than anything barb had. Thats on top of being restricted to doing 1 thing at a time, building or unloading. This pushed most DH to do trap build, since you can effectivelly spend your hatered and build it at same time, making you stack 2 attack to reach the damage potential to be competitive.

How they fixed that? Simple, make spenders cost more appropriate and double most of the damage. This way your unloading phase is when you are having fun. Depending on your spender that phase can be pretty long or short, but usually pretty satifiying now. DH always renegerate hatered even while attacking with spender passively. The class flows well now, you dont need to be forced to do 2 spell at once do be competitive. You can focus on a more traditional spending system, build/spend with great result.

Barb problem now: Unlike old DH barb ability dont lack damage, most of their cost is resonable too. The problem is BUILDING, its require to spam active ability or to build specifically to regen fury. Right now if you want to play a barb thats more into build + unload you are stuck into playing only many different version of a poorman Demon hunter cluster arrow build. You build up for 10 sec, unload for 3 second. All your spender but Whirldwind is stuck in this mind set.

How to make it fun without breaking it, probably making stuff like unforgiving baseline. Its not like barb werent like this before, they actually were. Thats part of why everyone said barb sucked early in release before we had gear, their resource system sucked ass period. Once everyone started exploiting Into the frey, things changed, the resource system problems became a ghost, a ghost that has return. You can still play around it, you must spec for it and gear for it. I dont think any class resource capability should be mediocre without gear or a build focused on it. It should make you better if you focus on it, but right now if you dont its shit.

DH is once again a beast like in the early game. Rocking that 500k dps when i pop the wolf and see stuff blow up. Using your hatered is actually satisfying now. It seems someone always have to suck up in the ressource department and this time DH traded its seat with barbarian. I cant stand playing my barb more than 10 minutes anymore, once i hear 200 time not enough fury i just go back lol. The class still work, it just suffer like DH did, lack of ressources and gameplay flow. Dh had it because of the lack of damage of ability, barb because it takes ages to build up anything unless you specifically spec only to regen fury, meaning you got no choice.
