The wording is confusion for too many people. Your Generator (the red ring) for 5 seconds ALL your damage is increased by 50%. Your Spender (the yellow ring) for 5 seconds ALL your damage is increased by 50%. They stack mulitplicatively which means its an actual increase of 125% total damage. Right now no build for DH can have any other rings without highly gimping, theres just no amount of spell damage and special buffs coming even close.

You have to test the buffs without the ring, because the attack that procs it is also affected. If you test it yourself you should easily see the increase, for god sake you are more then doubling your damage. My Maelstorm rockets crit for a billion+ sometimes, its beyond anything i do without the set.

posted a message on Patch 2.2 Classes Overview

Always will be a DH. I think its funny how people are so butt hurt thought, its super funny when you read the barb whines about their PTR nerfs. Saying DH always ruled this game and forever will. I guess diablo 3 getting so old people forget Monster power patch, DH was trash for what a full year? Actually Baseline DH is still trash, the sets pretty much does all the balancing job now, but thats not a DH issue.

posted a message on Dh's sentrys and pets on reflect dmg and their hp
Sentry do not reflect damage, same for other pets. Sentry unlike other pets do not tank or have any aggro what so ever. The ones tanking are the companions they die same as the WD pets, they respawn a few seconds after their deaths. The wolf seems to be about on par with a zombie dog, he dies in 2 hits from a mallet lord melee when im doing grift 35. The spider is super squishy, closer looks like she has fetish hp. The boar seems to be very tanky, on par with gargantuan.

The difference with WD in greater rift is that their main source of damage are fetish in pet build, fetish are on par with spider. So they are just always dead. If the pet resistance buff is big enough WD pet build is likely to go much higher then it does now in Grift. The survival of their pets is huge damage boost.

    Quote from Bidumandias

I wouldn't consider spamming Elemental Arrow non-stop from a safe position a useless tool, man. Fuck self healing. It's all about that more needed damage to kill a damn Elite faster. And it's not only Elemental Arrow, it even makes you recover that hatred a lot faster, allowing some certain use of Multishot if there's a shitload of enemies or Cluster Arrow, if it's a single target.
The damage gained by attacking yourself is negligible at best. We cannot out damage a single of our own sentry in this spec, which is part of how bad DH are outside of M6, but thats for another thread. There is no safe distance to spam elemental arrow in rift above 33 as a DH geared toward sentry. Even without CDR you are greatly over estimating your damage capability with the bow. If you are geared correctly with sentry damage on items, even the sentry elemental arrow will beat your own, without putting you in positions to risk taking damage.

If the life of monster is big enough for you to think you need to damage on top of your sentry, 5 sentry will be on the floor before the enemy dies and by that point what ever damage you think you are activelly doing wont even be 1/6 of your damage output. Actually in the case where monster hp is so huge and the 5 sentry always goes down during elites, the 20% frost damage given to sentry from atreyu probably facture for more damage then the demon hunter itself.

Its a sad state of affair, but its just the truth of high greater rift and the absolutely terrible damage outputs of DH builders and spenders in general. Like i said i understand the need to be more active, however the sad truth is that better weapons that improve the passive style of sentry are simply better, because sentry passive style is by far the biggest damage output a DH can ever achieve.

Kridershot is 100% useless for anything over greater rift 33. Self healing means nothing if you get one shot for being in range to shoot elemental arrow with your kirdershot. If you believe self healing helps higher greater rifts, its unlikely you have done higher greater rifts. Otherwise you would know why nobody on the leaderboard uses it.

For cold/fire hybrid setup, use Etayu. Hit 2.84 with taskers with it.

posted a message on M6 Rocket Build related Questions
Put cold on bracers. We have 3 gems to wear, socket in amulet > elemental damage for DH.

Your mistake is bothering using spenders yourself. Every single of your sentry deals more damage then you can, its more important then have x5 of them on the ground since each one of them is stronger then you to begin with. In higher Greater Rift using your spenders is not even an option, you have to be out of range to survive anyway. Just let the sentry do the job and work on positioning them and yourself well, youll do more damage like this.

posted a message on Marauder build (IAS / Area dmg)?
Yes to both. Area Damage is literally the only paragon stats that does anything for M6 in its category. Thats why most have Area damage and gold find.

IAS increase your attack speed and your attack speed combined with TnT achieve some breaking points. In the current popular frost/3 spender build however the attack speed increase to damage is negligible. So dont go out of your way to get attack speed. Dont sacrifice Crit/ChD/cold/sentry damage for it. But its not a useless stat. If its about paragon however go for IAS last. Cooldown reduction is actually better honestly to get your army out sooner.

posted a message on RoRG drop buff
    Quote from wowaccounttom
once again.. the collective qq of the masses has nerfed an aspect of the game.

first it was inferno mode, then both ahs, then legendary drops, then legendary drops in cache.

this almost feels like every other wow expansion after vanilla...... wow 2.0 social experiment and beyond: The catering to the casuals

This is nothing like this, RORG is actually a mistake from the begining. Its literally required for every build but pet doctor. Its stupid to have a single mandatory item for all classes/builds. People wasted huge amounts of time to farm a single item that only drop from a single source. They had 2 options, delete it or make it easy to get. The easy way was to make it easier to get since with almost any hero youll make you need the ring.

posted a message on DH and grifts
Its likely they will bring sentry in line with the rest of the pet and give them life bars and aggro. Right now its just DH fighting off screen and sentry that spam ability that would otherwise not be spammed because no other class (DH included) would have the ressources to spam so many spells. Thats just the substained part of the problem. The other problem is really just the damage of mobs and melee classes, i think they need to go back to the drawing board with the damage scaling, even crusader with 3 life cant fight when they get one shot each of them.

So easy fix that should have happening on PTR to begin with. Since sentry takes every benefit of being pets, they should just be pets to begin with. Give them the aggro, which in some case helps and give them HP and resistance based on the hero like every other pets. Reduce the damage scaling to help melee and at the same time it helps pets anyway.

posted a message on Any reason to choose the Upgrade gem option prior to failing a rift?
The lvl 30 rift boss upon failure usually gives me 3-4 legendary without counting gems. One of them from the 8 i did dropped shoulders and chest of akkhan and chest of roland. Im not sure how item wise greater rifts arent good. Im opening a present box everytime the boss i fail on is dead?

posted a message on Greater Rift Trial is bugued?
Sounds odds. I got to wave 29 with my brother and it gave us a 24 key and 24 was super easy. It only got too hard at 30. If you got a 29 key that means you made it to 34 trial... i find this hard to believe unless its a bug. The level 29 trials had white mobs with 1 billion hp, so if you couldnt do 29 greater rift, i dont see how you guys cleared white mobs with 2-3 billion hp in that little time from trial 34.
