I think it is a gameplay choice and a matter of taste regarding Hexing Pants. I played toads with Hexing Pants, having to stutter-step all the time can be annoying at first, but I got used to it over time. Now, I stutter step all the time even though I lost my pants ^^
I overlooked the LoH on your pants, Leeching Beasts are great on HC, I agree. That's certainly a point to look at for LoH. If I have to go for LoH, I usually look at the ring slot (Ring of Royal Grandeur) and the gloves slot (up to ~7300 possible here in exchange for 5-7 attackspeed - not a bad deal). But it's pretty tough to get Int/CritChance/CritDamage on Tasker and Theos to have a reroll slot for Life on Hit. However, if I come across T&Ts like that, I have to consider: Either get 7 Attackspeed + LoH (Tasker & Blackthorne pants), 750 Vit + LoH (Tasker + Blackthorne) or 25% damage increase + LoH (LoH Taskers + Hexing Pants). I'd choose Hexing Pants here, but that's also a matter of taste and playstyle I guess.
I lost 2 heroes to disconnects already, so my connection alone is reason enough for my Hall of Fallen Heroes

To stutter-step play you need the force move key in the keyboard, right? I only use my 4 keys mouse (6 including the up/low scroll key) with one hand when I play D3 so that I can free my other hand (e.g., with a cup of coffee :D).
Finding LOH from glove or ring is hard since you usually need dam affix on those slots. Attack speed is a good dam source for pet WD so keeping AttackSpeed in the Ring of Royal Grandeur is a good idea (I have a 5AS/50% CHD RoRG when I go pet play, the current LoH/50% CHD one is for Jade play). So the Blackthorn pants is my only source of LoH when I play pet.
Thanks for the comments on shoulder. You are right, I am thinking of re-enchant it to Fetish Army too (it can't reroll Res because of the light res in secondary properties) since I am using goldgwrap+Boon of the Hoarder and survivability is much better than before.

Boon of the Hoarder really is a great gem for Hardcore. You still have no Kukri at Paragon 583? Another demonstration of how hard it is to get this item... I hate how 1H weapons cost 15 bloodshards at Kadala. Because of the high cost, I'm always reluctant to gamble for the weapon slot. Do you plan to continue using Goldwrap? If so, I hope you got lucky with some Hexing Pants of Mr.Yan. I had Hexing Pants on my first HC Witch Doctor and they were awesome for the fetishes (he died along with the pants though). Because of your Zunimassa set, Ancestors Grace and Goldwrap, you are not able to complete the Blackthorn set anyways. If you don't mind stutter-stepping for your attacks, I really recommend getting those pants aswell.
I have Hexing Pants of Mr.Yan, but it doesn't fit frog play well. The pants can be really good only when you get Kukri and discard all primary skills.
I like Blackthorn pants because of the LOH. Actually, stacking some LOH with the last rune of dogs is the mainly reason I survived so many lag/disconnect even in T6 (my WD soloed all T6 bosses in HC at later April, including Malthael and shadow Diablo. I don't know anyone else achieved that before me in the whole Asian region. PS: I played HC in a "Elife" rule, which means I will never restart a new char if the old one dies. Just check my chars screen, I only have 12 chars (male&female for each of 6 class), 5 of them already died but both WDs survived for 1300+ hours in total already.
Well, that's a pretty fine amulet. I really wish my WD had it (see HC RiP Pics), but at the same I don't. Just imagine being saved from permanent death, but lose this epic amulet at the same time... I'd still want it just to look at it in my treasure chest ;D
I'm not too good with rare items though... Frostburn & T&Ts are probably the only truly rare items I have found. It has been ages since I have started hunting for Rimeheart. Zunimassa Offhand (I'm not joking, this still has never dropped for me) and Starmetal Kukri now.
One thing that bothers me on your WD is the armor roll on the shoulders. 3xx is too low to beat either 100 Res or 15% Fetish Army. Compared to the rest of your items, the shoulders could be easily improved! Looks like a great WD otherwise!

Hardcore only item (so actually even rarer than The Star of Azkaranth) + 3 almost perfect original roll properties + 100% CHD enchant, anyone can beat my amulet?
Now in 2.1 it will work AFTER near death passives like Spirit Vessel (confirmed), a perfect fit for my 1150 hours ,7000+ achievement hardcore WD:
Have you guys tried the new stun rune"black blood" of Sacrifice? It is a great remote CC,12 yard stun, 3sec for trash mobs and ~1.5 sec for elites and even boss!
I tried it with a 4sec Homunculus and 4 dog passive "Zombie Handler" (without TTMF ring). By summoning 4 dogs twice + 1 dogs/4secs from Humunculus, I can easily chain stun GR boss with sacrificed dogs for ~15 sec at least, let alone normal elites pack.
O/C you will lose some dps by replacing Gargantuan with Sacrifice and TTMF with SoJ, but now your pets will hardly die like trash in front of elites or even trash mobs
The 4 dog passive is not a must if your pets have enough dps, you can still chaining stun elites for > 10 secs with 3 dogs.
Do you guys think this is a solution for our pets?
