they are all rumors. blizzard would be wise in not making diablo 3 into a console game, because they automatically lose most of their following. people invest in computers for gaming, and they wont invest into something else for just one thing. diablo 3 will be made, just a matter of when. hopefully we can have it announced next month and see what kinds of things are in it at blizzcon.
I highly doubt it would be a console only game. So why would it hurt? I got into Diablo through Diablo 1 on the PS. After a friend and I played it, we decided to get the PC version for the online features. Though consoles these days can go online, they still lack a mouse and keyboard.
I'd be happy if it was released on both pc and "next-gen" consoles. That would basically mean that players will be allowed to play single player. That could rule out MMORPG, sticking to true Diablo style. Then again, wasn't there a Final Fantasy released on consoles that was online only? Fuck, I don't know anymore.
