DamienJohn posted a message on "Advancing" Advanced TooltipsPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionSo I've been compiling a list of feedback and bugs to report for the Beta, but I just wanted to quickly share this as a QoL suggestion.
Cooldown Reduction, Resource Cost Reduction and +Skill% are all fantastic additions to the game, but I feel their benefits need more succinct representation in the UI. I really love that we can now view stat ranges on items when holding CTRL, so I thought, why not apply a similar function to Skill tooltips that shows their effective values. I made this quick mock-up as an example of how this display would function and what it would look like.
I feel this type of direct presentation makes those stats feel more tangible, while allowing for much more efficient theorycrafting.
Any thoughts on this? Or perhaps alternatives?
Edit: Dude, terrible spelling. -

IgnatiusReilly posted a message on "Advancing" Advanced TooltipsPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionThis is such an obvious (and wonderful) idea, I have trouble commenting on it other than to say: Well, duh!
Could we also have it take into account +elemental damage? Cool, thanks.

Just a sugestion, the next time take screenshots of sets without the dye. They usually look better on their original colours. The dyed textures lose a lot of the details.
And btw, I ve been watching Dfans stream lately sometimes, and you and Vick are doing an awesome job!
Thx, keep the good work! - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Everyone see negative things like easier leaderboards climb, and no one see positives. I'm playing this game from premiere, spend thousands of hours, but I never cared about leaderboards, conquests and sh*t, so I think I'm casual player only. For me, THUD was just usefull, comfortable tool, it provided better interface, which lazy Blizzard should give us long time ago. Do you remember how long did we ask for little things like time indicator for skills?
Now (for me) playing this game is too annoying, because of dumb, time-wasting things like going to stash everytime when I want to check how much mats I have.
And people, who only blame KJ and can't see any positives, should go back to past, where Diablo interface was such poor and sad, that even legendaries didn't appear on minimap.
