posted a message on The Future... 2.1 and stuff
So since I think most strong builds have been fleshed out, or at least for the most part. I figured I'd ask what you all think is incoming in 2.1 and what sort of changes you expect and what changes you believe will happen.

For example, do you think firestarter will be untouched? Will Smite actually become something useful? You think the current state of crusaders is good? Bad? That sort of stuff, and I believe we all know that WD are stupidly strong so let's not make this a "we're nothing because WD is too strong" how about a suggestion or idea that will push us towards a better state of game.

Personally I really think Saders need another set, having only Akkhans is build limiting, while AC doesn't limit builds, having other sets could open the door for strong builds not relying on a 6 set bonus and CDR. I really think some Sader abilities have strong potential but don't meet it due to lack of synergy. A set like Vyr's for Wiz's (activates every rune for archon) would be cool, I don't mean for AC either, current state that sounds really game breaking, but perhaps more along the lines of one of our spenders, Phalanx, others as well.

While I'm still on sets, I feel like a cool one could be "You no longer need Heavenly Strength to wield a 2h and a Shield" which would free up a passive slot, and with how useful a lot of our passives our, could open up more build options.

In terms of the current state of Saders, I feel all the power is stuck in two options, Shotgun or Firestarter (go figure), and some diversity would aide in that, perhaps not but nerfing, but with appropriate buffs. Still feel like Sweep is incredibly underused, to an extent the same with shield bash. I just feel more damage should be pushed towards the abilities/yellow damage (yes I know shotgun is yellow damage) instead of firestarter just being this "passive" dot.

I just feel there is a fair bit to be speculated upon and discussed about the future of crusaders

Honestly with the items it has I feel like it has more potential than what it currently has becuase of how it is tuned. Make Kind Regent or Scourge (hell make them a set) and the bonus be that smite now deals double damage and now costs 10 wrath. Not a perfect number but just a guess, makes it useful and those items more useful then the maybe someday they are.

Just my 2cents, or just make it a spender all together and tune it accordingly.

maximus's chain is strong as well all know but here are it's limitations imo, demon dies really easy on rift guardians (t3,t4) which makes chain weak because low up time, also requires some repositoning, which isn't gamebreaking but can be a "pain" Crafted a Cinder Switch, it isn't bad at all honestly, it rolled great... except for the fact that it rolled a 27% (roll is 25-50%) for the fireball. that said still feels pretty strong. I'll test more and update as I see fit.

Alright so update time. The Dominon rune is cool, but honestly only time I'd use it was for lower torments/when you know you're kill shit fast and this combo, spam hammers steed charge through mobs. Other than that I'm let down :(. On Devastator which is a touch lower on %fire than my maximus I would recommend only to those A obviously without a furnace and B struggling with living. Here is why, ferver is awesome, more AS which is sexy for hammers (reduces ramp up time by a lot) and also the CDR is pretty nice too. Living because since your AS is higher you're attacking more so more life on hit procs, additionally more hammers being cast, faster, means more healing from wrath spending. That said I feel 1h definitely would benefit from a cindercoat more than a 2h, simply because you're casting hammers more, therefore the reduced cost would help immensely. Still playable without one (I don't have one)

Overall difference is pretty low, eventually I'll craft a better one (16% fire on my 1h vs 18% on my maximus) Also max has a stronger gem in it (+5%CHD) But I will say it isn't half bad, definitely viable in mid/low torments and usable if you want to jump into the build but a maximus hasn't dropped for you but you have the crafting pattern (I got the material on one attempt, it's the shattered core go into campaign mode, quest where you look for ZKuhle's head and it's the guardian that spawns when you loot it).

    Cheers.

Looted a Justinian's Mercy (1h flail gives dominion rune effect [hammers orbit you]) It isn't bad... it's not great either. If you have it use it imo, but a fire weapon (maximus furnace any of the 1h increasing fire damage) would be better. that said going to try a Devastator later if I can get a solid craft out of it, compare it to my maximus. Will update when that actually happens.

Looks like the best builds for you currently are fire, some of your fire gear is beautifully rolled (that helm ugh I hate you). Anyhow gear is fine, next steps to get the appropriate skill bonus on your boots. Replace MS because it's easily replaced. you can get firewalkers but really your icewalkers are fine, solid roll on em. Honestly I'd swap your templar's lidless wall for yourself, that fire damage. Only reason I wouldn't is if your toughness was questionable.

Here are some viable fire builds, I'll start with my favourite,

    http://www.diablofans.com/forums/diablo-iii-class-forums/crusader-the-church-of-zakarum/88054-fiery-hammers-power-of-furnace-t6-fire-hammerdin

Simple build to play, takes probably about 5min to get used to, tops and if you've done a hammer build then its a non-issue. lots of flexibility, simple effective. Works just fine with a maximus (it's what I use).

    http://www.diablofans.com/forums/diablo-iii-class-forums/crusader-the-church-of-zakarum/88224-2-0-5-crusader-build-the-fireblock-addict-t1-t5

Fun build, love seeing a fire dome that is your character. Can be run without piro (shield that reduces SBash's cost 40-50%) fun times, simple but can get frustrating sometimes (imo due to positioning but nothing else really)

don't have a direct link but there is the blessed shield combust build (kinda sorta requires Jekengboard [lets blessed shield bounce 4-6 times]) Just copy a typical blessed shield build and change the holy rune to combust, then for your fill pick, I used punish roar for defense/flame dome.

Another I've recently heard about is a FoH fire build, I presume it could/would look something like this

    http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/crusader#akdOfQ!faWe!aZbZba

Passives can be changed around if you feel it is needed.

Happy Crusader-ing sorry if some info is vague the FoH build is just guess.

Hello and thanks for comments :)

    @ Vulpes

About paragon points it is nearly standart - Str if you have enough movement speed and vita , Attack Speed > CHD > CHC = CDR , AR = Armor = Life > Life Regen , LoH > Area Damage = Resource Reduction.

Since hammers proc items and loh well stacking a bit of it will help survival a lot, attack speed improves loh gain and procs so therefore i spend my points on AS first. Build works very well with proc weapons or items. That is the reason why rift guardian dies that fast.

    @ Mizten

About shields that is definitely right. You can also go for a lidless wall yet it will cost you a bit on survival since it rolls mostly offensive stats. And about your gear i can say it is not bad at all. Since Blackthorne pants always roll with loh that improves your healing a lot and you have nice fire gear on yourself :).

And lastly i am not sure but for a start i think after the buff cinderswitch can be actually a good choice. Depending on proc chance and if proc is effected by fire gear.
Thanks for the kind words my magefists are actually "stolen" from my monk lol My gear is slowly building actually upped to T4 with mot success (some deaths but I'll adjust accordingly no biggie). Just really trying for a cinder, though a furance would be fun. Definitely more fun though, funny because I didn't like lightning hammers but apparently I'm down with fire hammers....

tested it a bit at t3, pretty strong definitely feels and is faster than fire builds using shield bash or blessed shield imo. Do not even have a furnace, using maximus which is good but does suffer from not moving as much so the demon chain is not always burning foes. Still enjoy it, love punish roar on fast attacking mobs to be surrounded in fire is hilarious. Gambling for a cindercoat then for a furnace so let's hope!

In terms of shields I'd say a hellskull probs the best with this, though given your use of strongarm and looking at stuns sublime convinction shouldn't be half bad (chance to stun on block based on wrath). My 2 cents of a mid torment guy.

my hero for comparison, not great but hey no one's looking!
