posted a message on I am wondering if Cold monk is at all possible. Any thoughts and ideas on this?
Playing a cold monk on PTR (I have a hellfire that rolled harmony) and it's insane. Tzo-krins gaze isn't required with the cold WoL, it has huge range anyway. Running SWK, Innas, Torch and crudest boots. Can probably get away with no generator with my reaper's wraps.

The damage is impressive and you can kite really well. Since you don't really need CDR you can get more DPS and or toughness out of your gear.

blackthorns full bonus + augilds full bonus = white mobs are scarier than boss packs.

This will not happen, there are reasons to use a 2 hander for builds, and not just on crusaders. People worry to much about there sheet damage and neglect raw weapon damage. Most WD or Wiz will never give up a source and I dont blame them, things like apoc or mana regen are extremely useful. There are diabos and 2 handers for monks and barbs though that are build changers and work extremely well.
WDs hate fast weapons (which is why our class specific weapon is an insult). We have only 1 skill that can generate resources based on weapon speed, and that's the Mana Spiders (which few use).

Which is why most WDs run slow ass weapons, with mucho damage/swing, cause our damage is limited by out mana, nothing else. And the slower the weapon the more damage/mana we get.

There is an exception though. Running with the spirit mana regen passives. If you are using that only and nuking mainly with spirit spells, your attackspeed doesn't matter, cause you have infinite mana while using that skill.

The only problem atm with 1h + offhand vs. 2h is that a decent 1h + offhand = almost perfect 2h. This could be fixed in many ways. Like buffing the legendary effects on 2handers, giving an extra socket (but not for 2handed flails, for example), giving 1 extra roll or buffing the existing rolls a bit.

Just keep in mind that perfect 1h + offhand SHOULD be better (but not by such a huge margin as it's now for WDs), cause it's a lot harder to get.

P.S. On my current WD (paragon 80 or something) has NEVER used a 1handed weapon. Neither did the last 2 (I played HC).
Fetishes are insanely powerful and spawn much faster using fast weapons with firebats. Can also get +28 regen from off-hand + knife which offsets the increased costs.

WDs have tons of builds for both 2h and 1h+mojo now but the crazy stats you can get from 1h + mojo are much better IMO. 4 passives make it pretty easy to never run low on mana.

posted a message on Fixing the 2-hand weapons
It's related to the fact that we're playing at 60. All legendaries are rolling with base weapons around level 55-60 when they use to roll with 61-63. This makes the biggest difference on 2h weapons and wizard and WD off-hands.

It is not an issue at level 70.

Wait, there are people who actually want to play diablo 3, who don't want to buy RoS? That makes no sense at all.
Why not? Many people preferred to play D2 classic over LoD.You can't screw over people just because they won't buy the expansion, it's not a good practice. It's sleazy, and not something I would normally expect from Blizzard.
No one played D2 classic after LoD came out. That is an outright lie. This is all just a bunch of whining to try to get RoS stuff 2 weeks/months early.

posted a message on What online interaction is left with RoS?
The interaction is that you want to play with other people because when items drop in a game anyone in the game can use them.

So maybe people will actually chat and trade in open games.

That is a much more interesting interaction than trading. I traded a ton in D2 and am happy to never have to go back to that mess.

Kongor went through that much gold because he is a moron.

If you don't try to optimize everything you find when you know you'll find something better fairly soon then you won't have problems.

Came by to say that Torment level 6 is insanely hard, I'm talking OG inferno hard. I don't think it's possible or at least not this early in beta.

A guy is doing it on already with the Pride of Cassius belt (perma ignore pain) and 33% crushing blow. He only has 5 mill EHP and 800k DPS. His method is DEFINITELY going to be nerfed though,

You can kill adria but can you actually play torment 6 otherwise?

An even better question is how is the Crusader WITHOUT the bugged rune? I haven't seen any streamers at 70 playing without it.

WTF? That sounds horrible. So Reflect Damage would just be another flat damage type like Plagued or Desecrator. I hope this get changed back, I actually think the current RD ain't that bad.

Agreed. As much as RD was a pain in the ass sometimes, it is a unique and interesting mechanic and it should stay that way.

RD is not interesting it is nothing more than a gear check. Got enough LS/resists/armor to survive? Ok ignore it completely. Don't have enough to survive? Have fun waiting for the pulses or insta-gib yourself.

My friends and I are at the point where we can ignore it on MP10. No idea why people like reflect except to laugh at people who haven't hit the gear level to ignore it or something.
