Diablo can drop a legendary 100% at level 60 for all non expansion accounts! As long as you reset quests when you want this legendary again!
Once RoS goes live and you have RoS activated on your account, you can't get this 100% legendary from Diablo anymore, you get it from Malthael instead. But people who do not have RoS activated can still obtain this legendary from Diablo.
On my Hardcore Witch Doctor, I use Firebomb (Ghost Bomb) as my left click attack.
I have two legendaries to support it. Razor Strop belt increases my Firebomb damage by 12% and also Magefist gloves gives me another 19% fire damage.Of course the legendaries aren't even compulsory to use Firebomb effectively.
I use Firebomb with Ghost Bomb rune because Firebomb is fast and easy with nice AoE. It has a ginormous AoE range, something like 28 yards so it is good for normal monster encounters! I change the rune to Pyrogeist just before I go and kill a boss because that is stronger against single enemies.
Firebomb also works well with Life on Hit because it has AoE and drains life from all the enemies it hits. My main healing generation isn't Life on Hit though, I actually use Life per Second because it is more disconnection proof in case my internet crashes, or the server lags. I also use the Templar follower's aura to support that. I use Hex (Hedge Magic) for extra healing (and crowd control) as well.
I've never enjoyed Rapid Fire personally - My spender on my DH is Elemental Arrow - Frost. I really like it because it hits so many enemies simultaneously so easy and the weapon damage percentage is quite large (30%) while also being quite cheap! I believe Cluster Arrow also has potential to be a great skill but it's similar to Bombardment; it is too slow to reach the destination. Cluser Arrow is also very expensive.
I would, but I can't because I have important work to do on the 25th! But the 26th I have all day free and on the 27th I finish early! In the weekend I will then stand up my social life and play RoS until there is no more oxygen in my room, then I will open the window and carry on playing!
But I play so much now on hardcore! It's quite an amazing game at the moment actually, even without all-acts-travelling! I am quite excited for RoS.
I tell you now, that at least half of your gear will already be replaced at level 61 - If you go to your level 10 blacksmith, then go on the 'Train' tab, hover over the names of the items, they will require level 61 and have insane stats compared to level 60 items!
I don't actually know that much about graphics cards in particular, but I can tell you that something that is $100 is probably just about enough to play lower-medium graphics. If you really want to be sure, pay $150, with that kind of price you can play medium graphics and not drop in frames per second in larger fights with lots of monsters and effects.
With graphics cards, they are USUALLY as good as the price, just watch out for scams or extortionate prices!
Yes, it is Diablo. A modernised Diablo! It is Diablo 3, not Diablo 2, nor Diablo 1! Personally I like Diablo 3 and I just treat it the same way as I used to treat Diablo 2. I'd say my favourite game ever is Diablo 2. However, I believed that I had to move on and I started playing Diablo 3! The combat is very smooth and very satisfying and I have always enjoyed it; even more now with patch 2.0. I am also very excited about Reaper of Souls!
Sorry mate. There used to be a way to revive dead HC characters in Diablo 3 because of server lag or bugs, but they removed this feature because people misused the feature dishonestly. There is no way of retrieving a dead HC character any longer, and they probably won't allow it ever again either.
You've played hardcore (at least on Diablo 3) for longer than I have, so I am sure you know, but in case you don't, you should consider a DC proof character build. It's a build stacking lots of toughness and life per second because it is the safest stat against disconnection orasynchronism. Try looking them up! People also did it in Diablo 2, back then we got equally as much (actually more so than nowadays) lag.
Unless Blizzard have announced a deliberate change, it is just coincidence. RNG really is just random and unfortunately you've had bad luck! That is all here is to it really. The drop rate feels the same for me to be honest. All my life I've always been balanced with luck. No joke!
I have always loved the Demon Hunter. I voted Demon Hunter on before 2.0 release, but I voted Witch Doctor on after 2.0 release because that is the only class I have tried out so far. I will probably change my opinion later when I have tried more things, but in reality, the Demon Hunter has always, always has a certain charm that just tickles me in the right place
I play on Expert when I level up and then I play on Master once I am 60, until I am strong enough to play Torment 1. I am sure there are better ways of doing it, but it works for me!
Well as a hardcore player, I always clear all areas and side dungeons and I enjoy taking it slow. On PTR my characters got to the levels between 50-53 by the time I kill Diablo. On the live 2.0 my new character was level 52 by the time I killed Diablo. I have seen other people who just run the campaign as fast as the can hit levels between 37-44 when they kill Diablo.
The levelling curve is insanely fast compared to 1.0.8. Since you had to beat the game on Normal, Nightmare and Hell in order to reach level 60, whereas now you can pretty much do it in one campaign run. I am not bothered by it to be honest. I am really enjoying the dynamic level progression, since all monsters are almost equally strong and award equals rewards. I can just go and farm at my favourite area all the time. As well as farming, you can also just level at the same area all the time. Personally I am in love with this new system!
I have a strong thought that this is what their current idea is:
Normal
Torment
Inferno
Like TicklishCorn mentioned that the in-game Tip for unlocking Nightmare no longer exists. But also all the achievements that you see there in the Datamined strings already exist with Nightmare!
"Kill Butcher in less than 2 minutes on Nightmare or higher" something along those lines, only they have replaced Nightmare with Torment.
Nightmare is DEFINITELY being replaced with Torment.
Blizzard also mentioned at some point a few months back (can't find source, sorry) that they said they were considering the community's proposal of removing an entire difficulty because 4 times is just too much. I am pretty sure they want to keep Inferno as the highest difficulty because that way it can still stay around as the difficulty everybody talks about and plays on, also when they remove Nightmare and use Torment, Diablo 3 has it's only difficulty names and it just adds that tiny bit more difference between Diablo 2 and 3.
So in short, there will be only 3 difficulties, Normal first, then Torment, then Inferno for endgame.
