If they implant a leaderboard for solo player only then they need to do the same thing for 2 players only and 3 players only cause a 4 players team will always have an avantage over others . I think leaderboard is not for casual player (im a casual player) and as a casual player your goal is only to beat yourself. What it change for me to be on leaderboard? NOTHING! if my best Solo GR is 49 i just whant to do better and if i complete a GR50 ill be verry happy even if im not on leaderboard. But well, its maybe only me?

Bagstone posted a message on Paragon 10000!Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionThat is an AMAZING idea! Love it, I'm gonna edit this into my post.
Edit: And just to confirm how cancerous the official forums is, my post got downvoted there. Similarly, on Reddit the only response is basically "go season" (which I find ridiculously short-sighted, as people will reach paragon 2000+ in S4). Faith in DFans restored ;-)

Bagstone posted a message on Two important questions!Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion1) As others have said, it's because once you put the affix into the cube it's not immediately clear anymore that it only applies to the gem in helmet (wow, Bane of the Trapped * 100% would be awesome :O).
2) Most likely will work with old items, so keep them. Only the cube recipe will be new, it would make little sense that you'd need a new Puzzle Ring.
3) The Cube will not allow a second enchant (similar to the Mystic) on an item, but for all we know it will destroy an item and store its affix into the Cube. Bear in mind, all of that is tentative, subject to change, and guessing from reading all the posts. But it wouldn't make sense to have a second Mystic, that would be boring and unlike Blizzard.
Maintenance on the live servers in Northern America (other regions have other maintenance days... some people seem to forget there's a world beyond NA) has little to nothing to do with PTR. PTR and live are different servers. The patch might go online tomorrow, but not because of the regular maintenance on live - simply because it's due after a week of advertisement and a weekend of hype and anticipation.

Evolution85 posted a message on Blizzard is gonna get stamped as maker of casual easy games.Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionI don't post much anymore, but I'm going to put my 2 cents in..
First, let's not bring the whole Hardcore/Casual shit into this game. Leave it for the WoW players to debate.
Second, let's use common sense when we look at changes in the game. Common sense tells us that in order for a game to have any longevity, players must have advancement in some fashion through that game. If you are stuck at doing level 20 Grifts for 5 months straight, I doubt you would enjoy the game much. By letting non season players have access to the previous seasons legs, they have a way to obtain new powerful items that will let them reach the next level. It's not about catering to a certain segment of the player base.
Last, you have to understand that the "Hardcore" player today most likely will not be a hardcore player three years from now. People's live are constantly changing and expanding. And any smart gaming company realizes that.
In the end, we are all just people who enjoy the game in different ways and in different amounts. We're all Gamers, and that's enough.

Bagstone posted a message on 2.1.2 wizard 51Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient RepositoriesExcept for Gogok of Swiftness, Boon of the Hoarder, and Invigorating Gemstone. But yeah, all other gems can go beyond 50 (and none of those three is relevant for wizard end-game ;-))

Jaetch posted a message on A mistake by blizzard or did they actually improve wizard with hotfix??All they changed was how damage is displayed for Mammoth Hydra and Blazing Hydra. It was to improve system performance and reduce the strain on their server. The numerous individual ticks make up for the aggregated display ticks that used to show in fixed intervals of 0.8 seconds.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
Serpent's Sparker will beat out Devastator hands down in single target scenarios without question. Different story when depending on RNG in a Greater Rift where everything—monsters and you—are constantly in motion. Forced repositioning for both you and Hydras will play a role in how much eDPS you actually dish out. By running SS and TnT, you lose Cindercoat and fire bonus from the Devastator, resulting in lower infinite DoT size, which adds up over time throughout the duration of a GR.Quote from russell3773TnT and a Non Ancient Serpent's sparker(if you don't have an Ancient one) is the way to go. Will out perform an ancient Devasator. It is a buff. But like I said was it a mistake or not, is the real question.
What you may lose, you may gain back against the RG, which is still RNG dependent considering those with numerous adds will drastically reduce Hydra eDPS. Map layout is also a huge factor as highly mobile RGs will also cause problems. Whereas with a Devastator, a significantly larger Firebird tick size makes up for some of the lost damage.
TL;DR - both weapons were comparable before and they're still comparable now.
This is coming from someone with a 2880+ DPS EE-capable Devastator, ancient 20% Cindercoat with 15% Hydra damage, 3100+ EE-capable Serpent's Sparker, and ancient trifecta TnT 43/10 with 49% pet speed. -

Ashy_Larry posted a message on Why finish rifts after guardian is dead?neither side is right or wrong in terms of clearing rifts. the way blizzard described how to find items is to constantly kill stuff. that being said, regardless of what you're doing, either remaking after RG or full clearing, you're still killing stuff. i've found that i actually get a couple more legs every few runs if i just clear the rift. will they still have dropped in another rift if i made it? possibly? but i like to clear the whole thing usually, especially if it's a cool map. shittier maps or if i have a headache or something determine when i close the rift after RG. a couple other peoples' logic is that they get more blood shards remaking after RG, which is fine.. i don't need blood shards so that doesn't matter to me. they also like to get the completion bonus exp immediately after the RG, because some people want to level fast. at the end of the day, there isn't a "best way to do rifts." legendary items drop from you constantly killing monsters. do what makes you happy.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion -

Bagstone posted a message on Why finish rifts after guardian is dead? For a looooooooooong time I hated clearing rifts, always wanted to quit after the RG. Since 2.1.2 hit that has changed. If your group has a decent speed the RG dies after 1-2 minutes, so you'll spend 25%-50% of the time in town waiting for the rift to close. Of course you can go back into the rift and kill some more mobs but I really hate that because imagine a mob dies 30 yards away and drops an ancient Furnace... with 1 second left before the rift closes. You could also leave/re-join game, but it doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me to restart a game 40 times per hour. Another reason for restarting was to maximize blood shards and as Jamoose already said, this is not true anymore since most blood shards come from Blood Thiefs.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
The rift key fragment argument isn't really one - learn how to maximize Normal bounties and you can get up to 150 (or maybe even more) rift key fragment per hour (we've done this before 2.1.2, farmed over 1k fragments as a preparation for this patch and it was so insanely fast on Normal).
I'd say it's mainly a matter of preference. A lot of people read too much into it without having collected real data... it'd be interesting to do a few hours of full clears and than a few hours of restarting rifts and compare all the numbers. But you'd probably waste most of your time writing down this data ;-) -

Bagstone posted a message on Furious charge is totallt OP nowPosted in: Barbarian: Bastion's KeepThe lack of single target damage is not an issue of the Raekor set, it's an issue of the barbarian class as a whole. The Raekor set was never meant to be the boss kill set. It's like using a fork to eat a soup... you wouldn't change the layout of the fork, you'd ask the waiter to bring you a spoon.
The Raekor set got fixed and its performance is improved overall (pre-Conduit nerf people were able to clear GR62, GR63 on PTR with it). The reason why the barb's GR performance is worse than before is because of the "fix" of the Conduit Pylon. You can complain about the Conduit Pylon, you can complain about the lack of single target damage, you can complain about the design of the barb class - all legit. But saying that the Raekor set got nerfed is plain wrong as all evidence on PTR and live shows us.
The only real "nerf" to Raekor is the removal of its pulling ability which renders Raekor barbs less useful for group GR runs. But that was only being used by 0.1% of groups anyways (by far the majority of groups used Crusaders for group runs as it required less "rift fishing"; simply look up Diabloprogress statistics).

As disappointed as i was that no further announcements beyond patch 2.4 were made i still see this as a game that blizz keep well tuned to customers needs. Maybe they do have other priorities for other games that are more in the public eye but they certainly don't neglect d3

Its good to see the chalice of a million salty tears is being refilled.
On a more serious note though. If you dont want to be banned then dont break the rules. Its blizzards rules and theyre free to deal out whatever punishment they see fit for people that break them.
I dont believe for 1 minute that the punishments arent fair or warranted. These things are always considered from a long term reputational point of view and someone will have carefully considered the case along with previous offences, whether punished or not.
And before the trolls appear, i deal with complaints for a major european insurer so im well aware of reputational and other business impacts that have to be considered before delivering a resolution.

They dont have to give us any kind of buff in preparation for new content and theyre offering it as a gesture of goodwill to their playerbase.
Personally I'll welcome this gold buff as a speedier way for me to upgrade gems, do transmog tryouts and enchant hits on items i've got. Particularly on my hardcore chars where i'm a bit more strapped for cash than my normal (can die as often as i like) chars.
So i'd like to say; "Thank you Blizzard"
