posted a message on BlizzCon 2015 - Diablo is dead
    Quote from Ferret»

When Ros added adventure mode, it changed the way development for D3 opened up for Blizz. The game itself has become more modular, with features and mechanics able to be dropped it at will to expand the gameplay without changing the way D3 works as a game. In short, we won't be seeing an expansion unless we see a continuation of the storyline, new classes, or an entirely new game mode. None of those things are sorely needed.

I miss the whole hype around new retail content being announced, but the patches D3 has been getting in the past year or two are rather generous. There are two things I know for sure when it comes to the fan base of D3. If a good feature gets added for free, "it should have been in at launch". If they release an expanion further down the road, "Blizzard is just miliking the cow, those features should have been in at launch". There's that...

I've often thought this. There are countless games out there that add the extra stuff we've had as DLC, which you usually have to pay for.
As disappointed as i was that no further announcements beyond patch 2.4 were made i still see this as a game that blizz keep well tuned to customers needs. Maybe they do have other priorities for other games that are more in the public eye but they certainly don't neglect d3

posted a message on This Banwave is a joke imo

Its good to see the chalice of a million salty tears is being refilled.

On a more serious note though. If you dont want to be banned then dont break the rules. Its blizzards rules and theyre free to deal out whatever punishment they see fit for people that break them.

I dont believe for 1 minute that the punishments arent fair or warranted. These things are always considered from a long term reputational point of view and someone will have carefully considered the case along with previous offences, whether punished or not.

And before the trolls appear, i deal with complaints for a major european insurer so im well aware of reputational and other business impacts that have to be considered before delivering a resolution.

I dont wear the nemisis bracer in grifts anyway so i dont think they'd be mandatory.

But i suppose some people might.

posted a message on Nemesis Bracers - Goblin spawn

    Hi

I enjoy using this item in rift/bounty runs as getting that extra elite/champion pack adds a bit more to your game. However as I was running bounties yesterday I thought:

Wouldn't it be cool if these bracers had a chance to also spawn a random goblin instead of an elite/champion pack. This went on further to think they could spawn with the pack (everyone needs a bodyguard ;p).

I wouldnt want it changed to just goblins as that would take away the surprise element. I'd just like to see goblins added to the list of possible spawns from this item.

    What do other people think?

Would you find this random element interesting?

posted a message on Blizzard is gonna get stamped as maker of casual easy games.

In most aspects I agree with Bagstone's post. People will or will not play seasons. Therefore I don't see the season only legendaries as a 'carrot' for playing seasons

From a player point of view I see it as a 2 tier economy where season players are 'rewarded' with access to new stuff.

However, I play seasons because I'm competitive by nature and an even playing field lets me test myself against like minded season playing folk. I even took it to a different level by playing seasons in hardcore because I believe the player pool is smaller. I can even profit from other players deaths as this forces an item/gem reset for them. Its a risk to me too but one I'm willing to face.

I could also do this from non-season but due to my work & life commitments I can't play as often as I once could. So HC seasons gives me the illusion I need. The new legendaries don't influence my decision in any way. As I always play the same class(es) the roll over lets me upgrade my main and spare non-season characters, should I wish to play them.

Although when I thought about it more I considered the 'gated' legendaries to be a clever design and testing aspect for blizzard. This is because patches aren't released until they're ready however PTR testing can be relatively short and to a small part of the community. Some of the new legendaries can potentially be game changing so to introduce them to a controlled open environment like seasons allows blizzard to watch, monitor and if required, modify theses items before general release to the wider population. I'd like to think this is the case but if it isn't then maybe they should re-think their policy on season only legendaries and gems as it does seem quite pointless.

posted a message on Why finish rifts after guardian is dead?

I clear because i just cant be arsed (bothered) to open a new one after the RG death unless i get a map i really dont like. Density is higher so im not spending large times not killing stuff. Its a personal preference if you ask me. You gamble with kadala or you gamble with what might be after the RG. Like bagstone said RGs spawn so quickly now its all about time spent standing doing nothing.

posted a message on Gold find during the community buff
Again an irrelevant troll post erav2000. Ive got plenty of gold on softcore, in fact more than i'll ever need. Though i decided to start some hardcore chars again and ofcourse no longer have the resouce access i do on softcore. This doesnt bother me as i know this game well, and have played this game for several 1000's of hours.

This is something i accept and also look forward to this particular resource challenge in patch 2.1 seasons.

I merely ask you to expand your elitism beyond people like ourselves who have played the game for a substantial time and may find themselves in less fortunate gold circumstances.

I do not view my previous post as offensive and it only highlighted the rather insignificant point that you assume everyone playing this game has access to the same resources.

Erav2000. New players or people recently changing to hardcore from softcore wont have maxed gems and will often play more than you state.

Try to think before you post. I know that can be hard for trolls but it is, strangely, possible.

Wow. There really is no pleasing some people.

They dont have to give us any kind of buff in preparation for new content and theyre offering it as a gesture of goodwill to their playerbase.

Personally I'll welcome this gold buff as a speedier way for me to upgrade gems, do transmog tryouts and enchant hits on items i've got. Particularly on my hardcore chars where i'm a bit more strapped for cash than my normal (can die as often as i like) chars.

So i'd like to say; "Thank you Blizzard"

posted a message on Pew Pew.... Lasers!!! (Arcane meteor build)
    Hi

I don't post very often but I figured with all the builds being posted I may as well post mine because I have a lot of fun with it.

Its an arcane build which you can use to kite or stand in close/melee. Works in both group and solo.

I can manage torment 4 solo with current gear, though i stuggle with T5 + T6 champions/elites the trash is still possible to do.

The skills I use are http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#WPgOSm!bUc!bZYZZc.

    Here's my profile with current gear/stats, http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Decado-2294/hero/1786089.

    Breaking it down:

Left mouse: Spectral Blade: Thrown Blade (allows you to melee from the centre of your time bubble) although any signature spell can be here. I just prefer Blades.

Right mouse: Meteor: Star pact. Your main damage source and look like lasers from the sky; Think Starcraft 2 battleship :D

Button 1: Slow time: Point of no return. Stuns enemies and allows you to cast metoers on them in a controlled environment. Plus its great for dodging all those range fireballs/arrows/spears/tongues

Button 2: Energy armor: Pinpoint barrier. I like the additional crit chance but you can use any armor you want.

Button 3: Magic Weapon: Force weapon. I like the damage boost and knockback but again you can use any skill here you like. Mirror immage also works well.

Button 4: Archon: Improved Archon. For bursting down champions/elites or for nasty situations. I did use Arcane destruction rune a lot for being in close but switched when electrified, frozen, thunderstorm mobs owned me. Allows you to kite too due to temporal flux.

Passives: Only requirement is Temporal Flux to slow enemies, which helps you to control their movements and congregation points for dropping meteors on. Although I found illusionist necessary when I didnt have Gesture of Orpheus (wand, reduces slow time cooldown by xx%, mine is 67%)

    Other passives I use are:

    Evocation and Prodigy.

Getting some +xx% arcane damage or +xx% meteor damage will inevitably help your damage output.

Anyway, if you want to try it I hope you have as much fun as I do playing it.

That's actually a really good idea fuzydino.

Thanks for the tip, this will sort out the mouse holding for an easier space holding using my left thumb.
