Josh Mosquera has just lost 95 points on my respect scale. Pity, he was looking much more promising than Jay Wilson. -

So they are removing life steal and instead give joke and NON-SCALING LoH/ life regen/ shield values that couldn't absorb a sneeze from current MP1 level 63 fallen. Yet they leave the defense skills gutted with high CDs forcing for example CM Wizards to be the way to go because you are going to be demon food otherwise.
They will prolly nerf monster damage too. And CM will most likely get the nerfbat as well. -

Oh it will in some form or another. Blizz has said time and time again that they want to get rid of perma-archon and wotb. I hope they nerf CMWW as well.
Franlky, the problem is CMMW, not archon. WOTB allows permanent immunity to CC while archon allows permanent non-immunity to CC -

Oh, and:
" Prevent 100% of Arcane damage taken and heal yourself for the amount prevented."
Now I can afk in arcane sentries in Archon! \o/ - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Again, we don't know that.
My fear is that they will "retune" it by making stuff drop everywhere so that people can finish everything pretty quickly and then complain there is nothing to do in the game. Which, granted, is not dramatic for a B2P game, but still...

Not only the idea itself is stupid, but it was not timed well in addition to that
0
D3 however, has multiple levels of difficulty even on Inferno, making trading much more needed. The alternative would be the console version, where legendaries rain on you and you get bored of it pretty fast.
0
Err... Ebay, for one? I'm sure they have the capacity of handling a huge amount of transactions.
0
The founder of Ebay must look at that statement in amazement

Since friend lists are fairly limited in number, you cannot make a huge community out of them, by definition.

Ofc it's obvious. What is less obvious is the fact that such a "solution" will create a lot of other problems (see "drop rate balance").
So no, it's not a good idea.
0
And yet, if they remove it, people will spend even more time playing trade channels rather than the game.
Unless the Loot 2.0 drops will be so great there will be no reason at all to use AH/trade. Which is quite bland for a lot of people.
0
RNG is RNG. I have found several legendaries at low level. But that is besides the point, really.
FWIW, most gameplay in D3 takes place at max level, and if we get too many drops there, we will have console D3 all over again.
0
Again, this is exactly my point. You'll have legendaries all over the place (a bit like on console, maybe slightly less since there is no online mode on consoles). I'm not sure this is the best model for a game like Diablo.
0
And my fear that Loot 2.0 will work on a similar way. Because otherwise, without AH, a lot of people will complain.
So the legendary drop rate will have to be relatively high (compared to now) for that to not happen.

And what would that accomplish? If you abolish trading, you're back to console version where legendaries rain from the sky, so that you can beat the game quickly and shelf it, because that's how console games work. Or, alternatively, drop rates will be slow and it will be a whole lot of grind, which will make people whine and quit the game. Both variants are silly.
0
Yeah, so that you're done with the game in ~100 hours and then can shelf it? Great plan.
BOA is needed to get items out of the economy. Either that, or ladder (which has other problems).
0
They're BOA once they're changed by the mystic (at least that's the current plan).
