    "We made low drop rates because of gambling" where have I heard that before?? "We made low droprates because of the AH" It worked so well the first time.
    At least there's an outrage. Perhaps they will listen this time. I don't have access to the Beta, sadly, but I am seriously reconsidering whether or not I will buy the game. They keep adding salt to the injury. They keep doing stupid moves after stupid moves.

    I've been losing faith for a while now. Blizzard takes great ideas and implement them really poorly. What's the point of giving feedback if they are going to butcher it >_>

    I've made and seen countless threads about how to improve random events, exploration, endless dungeon/wave, challenge (etc). They take those cool ideas and give birth to something mediocre. I've expressed my concerns about bounties for a long time now as well. Their lasted decision only makes bounties the uncontested champion. Bounties, as they are right now, are toxic for the game.

    Bounties are like Rifts. You do the strict minimum and leave that place. How hard is it to add incentive to explore areas or complete the Rift?

    It's 100% guaranteed for Act bosses except if your level is too high. A friend tried levelling to 60 in A1 then killing the Butcher, but it didn't work. If your level is too high, you won't get a legendary. Stop trying to game the system.
    That would be me, I think :D

    where the hell you see adventure mode on ptr????
    Right now, Adventure mode is only available on Closed Beta. Whether this is final or not is unclear (for release).

    On my HC account, I got a plvl 7 and a plvl3. I'm plvl13 or 14 I think (on HC).

    They probably made it easier to get the first 100 levels or something.

    From a viewer's perspective, the Beta looks like a variety of good ideas that are badly assorted or implemented :(

    I hope I'll get a chance to try it out myself :/

    I think Bounties need to be changed to encourage players to clear more of the zone. The whole point of bounties is to encourage exploration of zones that you normally wouldn't go to, which could reveal rare dungeons that you wouldn't normally see, which would be awesome. If it's just a "run, claim bounty, leave" then it is much less interesting.

    I agree. I think a percentage based counter would suit bounties better. Like clear 70% of the areas' mobs. Kinda like the rifts work. The exact mechanics will get tweaked for sure, having 50 flat kill limit regardless of monster types, area or density looks like a placeholder number to me.

    Well, it's too early to say if it is badly implemented, but most of us will agree changes in RoS are for the better (the concept, not beta-state implementation).

    I don't know about "telling people to clear X% of the map/monsters". It's kind of a "forced" exploration. I feel that it should be something that reward you for exploring. The way bounties work right now, they are telling you exactly what to do.

    How about some hidden bounties? Games could spawn with 25 bounties and up to 50ish hidden bounties. An example of hidden bounty could be:

    As you enter the treasure Vault (crumbling vault), there's a chance that you are given a hidden bounty. The resplendent chest has been changed to a Cursed Chest. You must defeat the Treasure Guardian to reclaim your reward. Those hidden bounties reward you a lot more than regular bounties.

    People can do their bounty runs if they want --- people who explore the game will be rewarded for their dedication as well.

    Another example could be:

    As you walk through Act 5 for a bounty, you encounter a Realm Walker (not the target for your original bounty). Upon defeating him, you are given a hidden bounty --- You must enter the Portal and purge all the monsters inside for a great reward.

    That would be a great way to encourage people to explore and kill monsters on their path.

    posted a message on How do you guys feel about Bounty and Rifts?
    I personally feel, that Bounties are broken and that Rifts are disappointing.

    http://us.battle.net...pic/10671157114

    Bounties are broken and they will drag the game down with them if nothing is done. Do we have a reason to explore the game anymore? Everyone will just rush for bounties. The quicker they can be done, the happier you are. Bounty in the Forsaken Cemetery? Yes please.

    In D3V, we had (just to name a few)
    ->VotA runs
    -> CotA runs
    -> Crypt runs
    -> Weeping + FoM + Festering runs
    -> Etc.

    In D3 RoS, we will have
    -> Bounties
    -> Rift

    The monster density has been nerfed. The decaying crypt is a ghost town compared to now. We don't even have any reason to explore the game --- The game is telling us exactly what to do. Kill 40 or 50 monsters and go kill that easy purple monster. Congrats, here's a disproportional reward. Hey, go kill that purple in the cemetery, we will reward you well... oh there's also this bounty, but it will take you 10x more times for the same reward.

    Then, we have inexplicably disappointing Rifts. Go kill monsters until you reach 100% (wink wink Bounties and go kill 50 monsters). A boss will appear. We also can have up to 10 levels, but they are not really worth exploring unless you are hoping to get a lucky Cow or Goblin level. Rifts are not even rare anyway. You might as well start a new one for a guaranteed guardian and reward.

    Now, there's those Realm-walkers. Those demons that open a portal to another realm. I was really excited to see those at Blizzcon. However, they only spawn in a single location in Act 5. I'm almost certain they do not spawn inside Rifts. What's the point of having cool monsters if they don't even appear inside Rifts? Adventure mode should have randomized monsters within the world itself. Bounties should make you explore additional locations --- not become the run itself. People should be completing rifts and killing awesome bosses --- not getting 100% and kill "most of the time" a generic purple monsters.

    You had a lot of good ideas, but they were badly implemented. I had high hopes for RoS, but every single streamer I watch is doing Bounties, bounties, bounties, bounties, bounties and Rifts.

    You are making the end-game even worse.

    The game has Difficulty spike. Sometimes it's too easy. Sometimes it's absurd.

    Cooldown reduction is so strong on the Crusader as well. The gloves that make shrine last 1 hour is broken :P

    >_>

    Well, it's in the Beta so I'm expecting a lot of changes before the closed Beta!

    posted a message on Story Time With Wyatt Cheng, Removal of Nephalem Valor, Pickup Radius Reduced for RoS, Curse Weekly Roundup
    I have a mixed feelings about PUR reduction. However, I believe I've read that certain skills will "scale up" according to that change.

    As for NV stacks, I thought they would allow it for any character regardless of their level. I thought NV stacks were a hindrance for public game. The removal of NV stacks and the addition of bounties (and open map) should make public game much more enjoyable.

    I hate joining a game in which:
    -> People are already in the FoM. I know that I can't get 5 stacks for the KW (I got 80ish keys... not that I care that much).
    -> Most of the Act is already cleared and I don't know about it until I go to every WP.
    -> Troll quests.

    posted a message on What if you could enchant rares with Legendary effects?
    I posted this on the official forum.

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/10586658583

    In short, it is some sort of compromise with the whole "BoA" Legendary items. Rare items are given a chance of being as good as BiS Legendary items (and who knows... maybe even the potential of being a little better). Whenever you salvage a Legendary item, you may obtain the essence of that item and enchant a rare item with it. There will be a market around "Good" rare items that could use a legendary essence. I also suggest that Rare items become Bound on trade to prevent flipping and expose bots.

    I don't want rare items to be "irrelevant" because of BiS Legendary and Set items. What if we could enchant rare items with cool effects? What if Rare items had, even if it is tiny, a chance to be as good as a BiS Legendary item.

    Here's what I suggest.

    -> When you salvage a Legendary Item, there is a chance that you will receive the essence of that item. For example, if you salvage Frosties, you may receive an "Essence" (Increase Cold Damage by X-Y%. It is randomly generated when you enchant) that can be used on RARE items only --- in this case, rare gloves only. When you enchant, you must sacrifice an existing affix and replace it with the new affix.

    -> Essences are BoA. They come from BoA Legendary items. Enchanting will make your Rare item BoA. The essence must be earned by playing the game. However, the Rare items are NOT BoA.

    -> You may disenchant your item for a cost and the BoA will be removed from your item (if the rare item was already BoA for other reasons, it will remain BoA. For example, disenchanting BoA crafted items will not remove the BoA).

    -> Rare items now have a chance to be as good as a Legendary item. However, since their affixes are random (compared to Legendary items which are mostly predetermined), you will need to be really lucky.

    -> I suggest that Rare items become BOUND ON TRADE. If you trade for them, it is for the sole purpose of using them. No flipping. (Dropping an item on the ground WILL BOUND the item for the other player picking it up). Bots will have to expose themselves if they want to trade (you can report them).

    -> We should be given a special place for Essence. Perhaps the Mystic should automatically store them. If you decide to enchant a rare glove, you will be given the option, if available, to enchant your item with the bonus cold damage.

    What do you guys and girls think?

    PvP and Ladder are somewhat in the same basket. Once the foundation is solid, they can start focusing on that.
