I would like WW set to get some more boost than just triple rend action, as I don't see how would it keep up with MotE, IK or Raekor, with conclusion that IK/Raekor build will get even more op with IK 6 pieces damage boost. I don't mind using rend with WW, but this way it seems we are forced to use it with this set and to find space for lamentation as belt in our builds. That means witching hour will lose its place on barbs as PoC is mandatory for grifts (if anyone even play WW anymore lol) anyways.

The biggest problem with using Rend is that it cancels your WW and leaves you more vulnerable to damage. If they could allow you to Rend through passive animation, then it would make sense to equip it. The other thing to consider is does using Rend worth it compared to a build using F/R and some generator attack (like Furious Charge)? I'm not sure that Rend does enough damage to compensate for all of the buffed damage that the tornadoes bring.

Little community events could be fun.

Ex. Create a leaderboard for the highest kill streak in a cow level, leaderboard for the most gold collected in the Vault, special vanity pet if you kill 1 million zombies in October, etc.

posted a message on Idea for Legendary Gems

I like the idea of rank 75 abilities, but that won't help some gems, that have a 50 max level. I also think that they should be more aligned with adventure stats than anything that is really required for dps or toughness.

No. You can't change the default UI in that sense.

(Unless this was a feature added in the last patch that I don't know about.)

    1. Add a DPS meter

    2. Allow for you to convert mats without the need for the item. (white to blue without needing a blue)

    3. Take mats and place them into global currency (like gold or shards).

    4. Set parameters for automatic pick-up and gear salvaging.

    5. Reduce the bounty requirements for solo players.

    6. Creation of random in-game events. Ex: Half-way through a bounty an RG will spawn. You have to kill it before the bounty becomes unlocked again.

    7. Legendary gem that changes damage type of spenders and primary skills. Gem of the Elements: Primary: Your gem increases the elemental damage of your attacks by 5% increasing 0.4% per rank. Secondary: Place this gem into the cube with 10 flawless royal gems will embue you with an aura that makes all of your attacks that elemental type (10 ruby = fire, 10 sapphire = ice, 10 emerald = poison, 10 topaz = lightning, 10 diamond = physical, 5 ruby + 5 topaz = Holy, 5 emerald + 5 sapphire = arcane). The gem is consumed in this action and the damage bonus to the element is lost.

    8. Follower sets and more slots for gear.

    9. Pet control options (like for WD Dogs, not cosmetic pets).

    10. I want it to rain down gold on everyone when I login to D3. I don't mean that I want it to rain down when anyone joins...only me. Think of it like the fireworks in Johnny Dangerously.

I think a lot of those ideas might be bad game design lol

How so? It wouldn't hurt to have constructive feedback on the ideas.

I read your ideas over and over now. I'll just go over them and tell you what I feel about it:
    1) DPS meter is just a bad idea. It'll be like WoW when gearscore came up. You won't find any groups just because everyone will be asking for your DPS screenshots etc.
    2) Just craft a blue if you need mats.
    3) This I like. Idea in between: Rise the stack count to 50k or create a 'Material' tab within the stash.
    4) Auto pick-up for anything else than gold is just bad. Diablo has always been around picking the stuff up that drops. You really need that extra half of a second elsewhere? I doubt it.
    5) It's good as it is. This would push botting even more as they could reroll even more.
    6) This one I do like a lot. Random events during bounty runs would freshen farming up.
    7) I do understand what you trying to suggest but I think this can hardly be balanced enough.
    8) Followers need some love, I agree.
    9) Blizzard already stated that WDs won't get control over dogs, fetishes and gargs. For me as WD player I find it alright as it is. Some situations are just a pain and some are alright. I played armymancer in D2 a lot so it's basically the same. I don't see a benefit here as for us WDs we are no WoW hunters.
    10) That one made me laugh ;)
    Just my thoughts.
    Regards!
    1. I can understand the DPS meter concern. It's been a while since I have played WoW and have forgotten about those "1.General: Need 2 Ranged DPS (min 3k DPS) No Hunters." call outs in chat. (Note: Even though I was a very, very good hunter. It was still hard to get into raids, but when I did, I kicked everyone elses butt! Go Hunters we are the...look, squirrel!)
    2. I prefer not to use mats to make mats, but that would be the faster way to do it.
    4. I want to assign auto-pickup because I hate when stacks of stuff layer each other and I can get the one thing I want without picking up everything else. I don't want to pick-up everything, but I would like to auto-grab gems, crafting mats, and certain set/leg pieces that I am trying to get ancient drops for.
    5. If it can't be automated, then I would like to see an option to bulk salvage legendaries so I can clean that stuff out faster. Use a cube-like interface for that so I drop in what I want to blow away. This would prevent me from accidentally salvaging something I did want to keep in inventory.
    7. The gem idea was just trying to think outside of the box for allowing more diversity in builds without players feeling locked into specific skills.
    9. I think that is my old WoW hunter side coming out again. I liked to use my pet to setup for placement, traps, distance, etc. I understand the desire to rely on AI, but it's just not the same.
    10. Dare I say that my idea is...gold?

posted a message on Farming for cube material
    Quote from Tazzerchief17»

I tired to do T4 bounty and got my arse handed to me. One of the replies said farm for gear......where is the best place to do that. Also does it take a while to get deaths breath?

The best way to farm for gear is to leverage class communities. Normally, you'll get 4x<insert your class here> rifting together so they will share they get and can't/don't to use. You can also give a heads up to the group in the beginning to let them know you are looking for something in particular so they can be extra careful not to salvage it.
Finally, be careful about running in an open group on consoles. A lot of people hack and dupe gear so you might start a rift and end up with a thousand paragon points you didn't want. Only run with people you trust will be honest to the mechanics of the game, if that is what you desire as well.

All, we need to be helpful, regardless of how the OP felt about gaining the levels before he/she quit that game.

If you do not want to use the levels, then take gamesaredead's advice and start over. P100 won't take you that long to reacquire. Also, if multiplayer is your thing, then make sure that you only play in games with other people who have committed to not cheating the system. You can ask around on the forums here to match with folks that will play honestly. Don't leave your games open to joining if you don't want the potential for a cheater to join.

First off, your #1 yes. Please, stop that from happening. Or let us spawn pets outside the rift and carry them in.

Second, this actually brings up a bigger issue of pet management. In WoW, I could command my pet to go where I wanted it to go, attack a specific target, etc. I think that needs to be implemented and I have a really easy way to do it. Instead of respawning the pet when you press the skill, have it go to where you mouse is pointed or attack a highlighted enemy. The pet can attack by default but it will take your command over it's AI. There could be a shift+button feature to recast the pet if it gets stuck in the map. I think it would really help those who focus on pet builds and want to max out their strategy.

pet are like kids on playground, no way to control at all
Oh yeah, I know you can't control them but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't be able to do so. This could also help Crusaders, Barbs, Monks, Wizards, and Demon Hunters...that's everyone, isn't it?..

posted a message on Is progression too fast?
    Quote from Sjago»

    Quote from Astrayon»

I don't think the free set was such a good idea. I had the firebird set, which is not really that good compared to others, so i can only imagine how it would be with one of the more powerful ones. On the long term, not having the set would have delayed the whole progression by a few hours only, out of the many hours i spent.

I don't know if I was an edge case, but I played season 3 and it took me almost the whole season to get a complete set. Headrig's Gift was a great addition because it made me feel like I was advancing through my efforts instead of hitting a RNG ceiling. Now, getting a 6 piece set might be a bit overkill, but they could modify it some. What gift 1 = head/hands, gift 2 = feel/legs, gift 3 = a low drop rate weapon or off-hand that works for that set. I will still have to work for those last two pieces but that will also help in making me feel more powerful.

I believe getting something 4 free is straight no.
While i agree that games need to be casual nowadays, this season was a complete overkill when it comes to items. I started playing Diablo again, after like 2 years and had to laugh cynically quite a few times because everything just gets thrown into my face with little to no effort. The only stuff i really had to farm was deaths breath.
Idk if i'm just old fashioned or something, but imho games like D3 are meant to be a bit hard, so you feel some progression from time to time.
The way of progressing in Diablo 3 feels absolutely wrong to me as a rather oldschoolish player. I started as a DH and completed all of his sets in like 4 days of playing casually. Any of those sets would instantly enable me to do T10 with ease. Then i farmed for better gems, gear and was able to do GR60 in like ~10 days since i started playing again. That was the point i asked myself why i even need to progress further since i really dont see an appeal about being able to do higher grifts.
After my DH was finished i tried some other "builds" and realized (yet again): "Oh. bliz wants you to use either sets or LoN."
For me, there'd be lots of things to do to make the game more appealing in the long run.

So, yes, progression is way too fast.

I would say that the process for the gifts does make you earn it. It's not like you login and receive the set. However, they might be able to raise the difficulty a little on those.
