Based on everyone's suggestions I went and made a number of changes to my monk, got him from 80k at my last post to 130k, but now I'm trying to figure out what the best course of action is next. I have about 60 mil to spend and am trying to figure out what the best single upgrade might be at this time or should I keep saving to 100mil or so and see whats available at that point?
9/10 - Sweet setup you got there, I went 9/10 just because there is a bit of wiggle room at the top end of some of the pieces, albeit for waaaay too much gold, and there's room for a bit better crafted items. It's really nitpicking though because I would be stoked to have that setup.
Based on both of your suggestions I went out and bought a Sun Keeper and a WKL with LS on the AH. They dropped my paper DPS by about 80k but I'm a lot less squishy now so I don't have to dance around as much when facing certain types of elite packs. I guess I'll just keep an eye on the AH for UGs for either weapon, one with more +crit dmg and perhaps a WKL with a socket if I can get one for a decent price.
I just hit level 40 Paragon over the weekend and I spent most of the weekend scouring the action house trying to find some upgrades to bump my damage up to the 200k range but I did not have a lot of success. Same goes for trying to craft new bracers and gloves. I also realized that I spent a lot of my time trying to decide which slot to focus on upgrading. Most bang for the buck if you will. My budget is 20mil-40mil(depending on auctions selling). I run a fairly standard Bells build at MP5-6.
First off, the build. Tempest Rush I believe is the way to go at early paragon levels. Get yourself a good 2H Skorn as the slower attack speed will help you burn less spirit per second while TR is active.
As for gear, the most common advice I've seen, and what I followed starting out, is try to get yourself a low cost 3 or 4 piece Inna's set. Chest, Belt and Pants I believe are the most common combination. 3 pieces will give you +130 Dex (2 piece) and Increase Spirit Regen by .33 Per Second. 4 Pieces gives you 10 Life per Spirit Spent but more important than that it reduces the cost of Sweeping Wind by 70 which is great for keeping 3 stacks of SW active while running to the next pack of mobs.
