I don't agree with your "Trading Post" idea. It significantly reduces the value of gold. Lowering the frequency/amount of gold drops, makes may increase its extrinsic value but it's intrinsic value is greatly slashed. It's only use then would be for repairs, craft and your new ideas. What if I don't have enough gold to do does things? I can manually sell my items for gold via chat (have you experienced people spamming their items on general chat?) and or 3rd party channels right? Where's your efficiency then? You just made it revert to the D2 days.
The Trading Post also introduces another problem, it uses the barter system. If I can only trade items for items in the system then every time I pick up something seemingly good it should be posted on the Trading Post in case someone wants it. If there is a limit to posting, then a bunch of items will be stuck in my stash until a slot is free. I would also have to hoard a bunch of gear to trade for something I need. What if my item is worth 10 pieces of gear? How can I get a good deal then? Also, what if a lot of people want my gear and started spamming me item offers? You mentioned some kind of search filters, fine. If nothing is in there of my liking then I have wasted my time filtering. Imagine what those who offered something will feel when they have to wait for you to respond only to get ignored. And while they are waiting, the value of their gear might have gone down due to the current gear trend. What happens then to those items in your stash?
This primitive barter system will encourage player interaction sure, but efficiency is severely limited.
