    Ok i did the same thing u did and got the same results. but what i am bout to tell works.

    what you do is first go to your disk management.

    right click on your C: drive and shrink volume by about say 20 or 30 gigs. this will take a few mins.

    then go through that wizard thing that will prompt and rename your new drive say "Q or w/e"

    finally go to your d3 folder in your c drive and copy it to your new drive Q or w/e.

    so now you open 1 d3 program from your c drive and the other from your Q or w/e drive and you can now run 2 d3 applications.
