Today I come to you with new words: Have you finished it yet ? Have you finished it yet ? :D

... I think what Brazil needs is a charismatic leader of the 'revolution' in some ways. Che Guevara (who I was named after (my name is Che)) was that type of figure. ...

By all means, no, please. Lula (our last president) was a charismatic leader, and left the government with a rotting-but-yet-not-visible economy, and was able to elect our current president (Dilma).

But I get your point: We should have a nice leader, capable of uniting people to a common and fair cause. Just like Eddard Stark. Who ended beheaded. :P

We've had a senior man lose the car he uses to work this week because the protestants put fire on it. He had no insurance, as his was a very old car. He has no way to work right now. Causing harm to the honest citizens to make a point to the politicians is outright wrong :fret: and makes me a very sad panda.

I think the guy got a new car. The other 95% protestants put a "vaquinha" (public donation) in order to buy the guy a new car, but it was not necessary.

    Check here.

posted a message on Effectiveness of Sever (aka Damage to Demons affix)
    Quote from Turtel

You can try to open a thread about it on battle.net forums and see where it goes, if it bothers you :)

Doesn't bother me, as I don't main a Barb (in fact, I just rolled my first Barb this weekend), but I'll try the feedback on the official forums about this.

My friend who runs a Barb is upset about this.

I've done some runs with the Sever on MP8, both with my monk and wiz, and although the Damage to most mobs is bigger, the survivability against Ghom (my main survivability benchmark nowadays) is pitiful.

EDIT: Done: topic created on Barbarians's forums -> http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/9309441344#1

    This is a OS Chanto:

    I guess OS means Offhand-Source. :)

EDIT: I took a look on Jaetch's Diablo 3 Urban Dictionary, but OS states for Open Socket, which I'm pretty sure it wasn't what Loroese meant.

...the reason it doesn't work is because its actually Sever (...), that kills the mob, not HotA.

@Turtel, this makes sense (the mechanics), but should it be this way ? What do you think, should we open a bug with Blizzard ?

@apo86, thanks! Nice material, I'm digging it right now.

I really like the Sever. It's not perfect, but the fun on it is really great.

^^ RasAlgethi24, a barb friend of mine urged me to ask you: Do you have any problem proc'ing Stun with Hammer of the Ancients (Thunderstrike), while using the Sever ?

He switched to Sever a few days ago so we could do some DH-Barb runs and test the mega-crit-die-all farm build, and we both noticed that "stun is no more". :)

Would you be kind to confirm this to me as well ? I do not roll a Barb. If two players can confirm this, than I'll ask my friend to open a bug report to Blizzard.

    Quote from Bagstone

Regarding your first point, I think most demons can be found on Fields of Slaughter and Arreat Crater. There are a few in act 2 as well (Fallen), but they only make up for a small percentage of XP. And of course act 4 is packed with demons. However, in none of these areas you'll fight against demons 100% of the time. My guess is that it's more like 50% to 70%.

That's a nice estimate. It means the farming on those areas would be slightly faster with a Sever than with a similar DPS rare weapon.

Although I'm more inclined to use one against Uber's Rakanoth, Ghom and Siegebreaker. I'll do some timed kills against Ghom and see how that goes. (Edit: MP8 runs with my current gear).

    Quote from Bagstone

There was some discussion about whether ubers are demons or not, and many claim that indeed all bosses are demons (not sure about all 6, but Ghom, Rak, and SB would make sense imho). That might be interesting to try out (unfortunately I don't have keys to waste). SoJ+Sever+Tyrael's = 1.3*(1+(.25+.15)) => ~82% increased damage makes up for a lot of DPS that gets lost along the way.
Sounds good. I just can't bear the SoJ. I know it has some hidden powers, but I can't find a suitable one for me right now.

But I can buy a crappy one just for testing purposes, along with a Tyrael's Might. Let's see how this goes.

I've done some runs last night with my monk and I changed the EF for a lower DPS Sever, and didn't notice much difference on killspeed and survivability, but the slower attack speed.

Thanks Bagstone, Jaetch & Maka, you twothree got the issues perfectly:
    edited to add Maka

    1) Damage to demons effectiveness;
    2) "Slain enemies rest in pieces" affix and crits + healing;

    On the first point:
There is a issue troubling my mind: generaly speaking, not all enemies are Demons. So, would the hidden "against demons" DPS increase of a Sever + a Tyrael MIght be effective along all the areas ? Or just bosses ? Or just some specific places ?

    On the second point:
How is the mega-crit-final-blow-gore-everywhere calculated ?

Bonus points: I saw a video about a DH + Barb farming today with a combination of a Sever and Marked For Death-Grim Reaper that made me think about its effectiveness... What do you guys think ?

From this post on the Official Forums...

Question: What is the effectiveness of the Sever as a hidden-DPS weapon ?

Let's say I have 2 identical swords, a Sever and a rare one, and the sever has 25% more "Damage-to-Demons". Will my effective DPS be 25% higher ?

(this discussion is lefting intentionally out how you recover life)

Is this additive to Tyrael's Might "Damage-to-Demons" affix ?

^^ hehehe, TR really is an odd skill. But I think the description defines well channeling for the wizard. Although it would be nice to channel Archon Beam while moving. That would make WW-Barbs tremble in fear. :D
