Unlike D2 I see getting there as half the fun, maybe on my 4th or 5th toon Id want to power level or at least some form of fast leveling, but 12 levels in minutes was pretty OP.

Just messing around in D3, was in act 2 level 60 expert game and my level 18 friend joined. In less than 5 minutes (with at least 5 deaths) he level 12 times.



Do you think this powerleveling was intended or overlooked/exploit?

Coming from whats left of Lotro Ive seen the opposite. The boards there are overrun by fanbois, their CM infracts and bans at the slightest mention of Lotro not being teddy bears and unicorns. I dont really post on the official forums for D3 either although I do browse for info.

I will agree that many over there in fact do not know what the meaning of a BETA is, and the f*ck them I want a refund, Im quitting crowd is over the top.

I saw one poster in the WD forums state hes quitting because 0dog is no longer viable, he went on to say hes 45 years old and makes 10K a week but sounds like hes 10 years old.

Im sure somewhere, someplace there are forums with a nice middle ground.

I think the integrity of the game is more important than a few RoS sales. If you are making any sort of coin doing it, buying a second or additional clients is the cost of doing business.

As for the guy reporting himself...ehh I can report anybody for botting, they need proof. If its like Lance Armstrong and undetectable they wont do squat.

I would be lying if I said I havent wished for a maphack now and then especially leveling an alt toon, but with no teleporting its not that crucial.

Speaking of teleporting, I hope thats one thing from D2 that never makes it to D3. Id love to see runes and runewords but never enigma again.

there was a few websites known via their IRC back in the D2 days, DClone IRC, was one. We did lots of walks etc, Ive probably walked close to 1000 servers myself. We went on to have our own clans maybe 100 or more members as well as our own JSP guilds. There was quite a bit of competition between us and some hostilities. Its been so long I have trouble remembering the names of most of them, and due to a difference in direction I left mine, some of the other partners were more greed driven, I was more about having fun, not making money (thats why I wont name mine old one, even though it ceases to exist I dont want to draw attention to it or myself).



I like the changes in RoS against botting or at least profit, and I agree with online only if anything to avoid any messing with the online client.

First of all, if this is a taboo subject please delete it.

As a long time D2 player and former IRC owner Im more than aware of the cheating in that game.

I have no evidence of, nor have I seen or heard of any botting in D3 Im just wondering if it is happening (Im sure it is) and to what extent.

I have no desire to cheat so I dont want official hack names or websites, more of a casual acknowledgement for my own curiosity.

Im rather enjoying D3 as more of a casual player than I was in the past (100 D2 CD keys, proxies etc), RoS looks enticing since it becomes about farming your own gear, not just going to JSP and buying it but I will admit I will mourn the convenience and relative safety of the Gold AH that I used a few times.



Thanks in advance, Im not looking for trouble or info on how to cheat, I like my account surely will not jeopardize it for some pixesl, just wondering how blizz is handling it or if it is infact widespread, but without the lobby system hard to tell to the casual player.

Ive been poking around on the barb for the past few hours, and it just feels right. Not sure what it is though since I never really messed with barbs in D2. Im definitely going to follow up on him. I tried the starting areas for the WD and it wasnt fun at all. Im sure he gets better but I wasnt feeling it.

I should add that I have the ability to play more than the average person, Im disabled (deaf) which allows me significant more playtime. Ive been a gamer ever since my first $2500 386/DX2/66 (which is significantly weaker than the average cell phone) lol. Ive given up Lotro for good and as of now all my attention is squarely on D3 with a minor in Neverwinter Alphas and Betas. I will be trying all classes and will level all, so far it seems none are at a severe disadvantage the way some were in D2 when it was all about the hammer or the sorc for farming efficiently.

I look forward to more responses, maybe Ill check out the barb for the time being.

Edit for Bagstones response: While my wife does play and is a damn good gamer (was top 10 pvp leaderboards for minstrels on lotro for a while) shes much more casual nowadays, I wouldnt even let the fact she has a Wiz prevent me from rolling one too.

I know there is no right or wrong answer here and I may get 4 different answers even. In everybody's opinion what class/skill set is the most effective AND cheapest to build for low level MP farming. If you insect me you will see I have a very ordinary and cheap cookie cutter monk, my wife just hit 60 on a wizard and for not too much gold we could get her up to 100k DPS but is a true glass cannon atm with less than 30k morale.

Mind you I took a large chunk of this game off so I am very far behind the curve skills and gear wise as compared to how I was in D2 or how most of you are here in D3.

I havent even touched a Wizard or Barb, my Witch Dr is >level 15 and my Demon Hunter while at mid 40s I think hasnt been touched since a month after launch.

Just looking for some well informed opinions which could directly lead to my 2nd class being leveled to 60 and geared out.

I like the Cardinal's run myself. I wasnt really looking for "speed" runs. I picked up part of the Tal Rasha's set, IK gloves and some cheesy level 58 unique Wizards hat today doing some various runs. Thanks again.

Id love an AH app but I'd imagine the security concerns would be outrageous. There is already a 3rd party app out there for viewing profiles etc. While not entirely epic, it was great for passing some time while at the Drs office the other day.
